Hello!

My name is Veronica and I'm twenty two years old. This is my first pregnancy and I'm extremely nervous, but very excited. I'm twenty weeks going on twenty one on Saturday, woo Hoo! The ultrasound below was taken when I was 11 1/2 weeks. This is my first and only ultrasound I think I'll have because the hospital I go to doesn't like doing too many ultrasounds unless they have a reason too. Since my last visit which was March 19, I've gained 7 lbs, yipee, which I'm very happy about because I'm having a very hard time gaining. I now weigh 124 lbs and hopefully for my next appointment which is in the next two weeks, I've gained more. Wish me luck! If you have any advice or would just like to chat, hit me up! Bye!

Hello Again!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and all went well. I'm now 130 lbs I've gained another 6 lbs since my last visit. They didn't tell me anything I haven't heard before. Baby is doing good. My baby's heart rate is 140....I'm so anxious as to what the sex is. I'm getting a slight feeling it's a girl, but the fact that it moves 24/7 also points me to the direction that it's a boy; they said if I wanted an ultrasound I'd have to wait another 3 weeks! I have everyone I know on there toes to see what it is. It's kind of fun at times, I don't know about the rest of you, but at times it's kind of frustrating and annoying. My next appointment is on the 19th of May, an U/S would be sooner than that, I'll keep you posted as to whether I decide to have it or not. Toodles!!

These pictures where taken yesterday I'm now 25 weeks pregnant or in other words 6 months and 1 week. I'm not feeling really bad but I tend to get more gassy and bloated easily now. It's really frustrating because at night it gets trapped in my rib cage and I feel like I can't breath. Have any of you felt that? If so and you know how to cure gas please let me know because I've had this ongoing pain for 4 days now and I'm not getting the sleep I need nor am I eating right. Everything and anything makes me bloated and I hate it! Other than that, the baby is constantly on the move, always kicking and going from left to right in my belly. I can't wait to see him/her. I haven't gotten a call for my U/S which is getting me very aggravated because I want to know how the baby is doing and also because I want more U/S pictures!! Well I have to run bye!

Hello!

How is everyone? I'm okay, I had an appointment on Thursday the 17th for my regular prenatal checkup. I now weigh 134 lbs, wow I gained 4 lbs, woo hoo! I had the gestational diabetes test done that day too. UGH! it was disgusting, well not really but if you're the type to drink flat soda with no problem then you'll love it. Luckily, I had the lime drink, so to me it wasn't that bad. Some people at work told me the purple and orange one are disgusting. After you're done drinking it, that is when you feel like puking it back up. Then you have to wait 45 minutes to an hour until they take blood work from you and not even 30 minutes passed before I was STARVING! I was so anxious to get out of there, I wanted to eat something, but I wasn't allowed. By my next appointment I should know whether or not I have diabetes, maybe even sooner because if it's something that serious I don't think they'd want to wait a WHOLE month to tell me. But I don't think I do, I feel GREAT! I can't wait to give birth. Next week is my U/S woo hoo, wish me luck!

I am now 27 weeks pregnant and by this Saturday I'll be in my third trimester! Woo Hoo! Not only that but I have 7 days left until I go in for my U/S wish me luck! For some reason I don't think I'll be able to see baby's sex but I don't mind if I can't see I just want new PICTURES of my huney bunches! My regular prenatal check up isn't until June something I totally forgot. Belly hasn't changed much, still the same size, well to me anyway. The next time I write a blog here it'll be to let everyone know how's the baby and hopefully post pictures of her/him. I Kind of want a boy but I'll be just as hapy if it's a girl, just as long as my baby's healthy I'll be HAPPY! Take Care, Bye!

Look at my little bebe! In reality my baby's not that still, he/she is more like dancing 24/7. Majority of the time, he/she is tap dancing on my bladder :). I wonder if it's going to be this active when it's born...hmmm

Hello everyone!

I had my ultrasound today....The baby weigh 2 lbs and 14 oz, I'm still in the process of adding more pictures in, but here's a picutres of my baby's big round head :o). lol I love my baby! Baby's heartbeat went down to 133 bpm which is perfectly normal, as the baby grows, the heart rate decreases. They took a whole bunch of pictures of the heart, liver, stomach and top of head. I have more pictures to download so give me a sec to updated. But for those of you who want to know what it is....IT'S A .........

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone is well, I'm 30 weeks and I have 10 weeks left! Woo hoo! I'm nervous but I can't wait to meet my little one. I don't know if it's me but I'm finding that as each day passes the baby moves more and more.....like the baby hardly sleeps or something. I don't know it's weird but this baby moves 24/7 maybe it's just my baby. Well nothing new, I don't know if I've gained anything because my doctor's appointment isn't until the 18th of this month. I can't wait! I do know I am have the braxton hicks contractions....they aren't painful but they sure do make me feel uncomfortable. Here's a picture I forgot to add to my profile, it's of my baby's penis and it's kind of XXX. lol no seriously it's that graphic, when I showed the picture to my co-workers I blushed! So here you go!

I don't know if you can see the little arrow pointing... but it's there and there's the little wee-wee. My supervisor told me to keep my little man away from her daughter. I wonder why she said that? :o)

Hello! Hope everyone is doing well! I had an appointment yesterday, I weigh 138 lbs. I'm now 31 weeks only nine weeks left, whoa I'm getting scared. :o( It's okay though, I've been discussing with my doctor about my birth plan, I still have to few things to discuss with him. You know what I just found out, I don't know if other states are like this, the hospital where I go to now has bigger birthing rooms and they said anyone could come in. I'm so happy! I would have to give them a list of names I'd like them to allow but they said anyone could go and watch the birth of my little one. I have to discuss this with Rich but I'd like both our mothers to be there. and him of course, but then again it depends how I'm feeling. I don't feel good today for some reason. Anyone out there who is also 31 weeks or reaching 7 months please let me know if you're getting cramp-like pains in my pelvic area. I feel like I'm getting my period and I know those pains were only supposed to be for the first trimester, well they were for me anyway. I'm not bleeding or anything but I feel like I will eventually and I'm getting scared. When I went to the doctors they said everything was fine, they said my belly is 30 1/2 inches. They didn't do much for this appointment they just asked if I was spotting, or bleeding, leaking, or having contractions. Now my appointments are every two weeks and my next appointment is July 2nd. Well have to run TTYL! Toodles!

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing great! I'm 8 months preggo and today I had the biggest scare! For the firs time in my life I know what contractions feel like, and let me tell you it's not fun or exciting. It's beyond PAINFUL! I was having braxton hicks all morning and at 2:14 I started having the real deal. They then became two minutes apart and I had to have an ambulance pick me up from work. I arrived at the hospital and when the doctor's hooked me up to the monitor I was having them every three to five minutes. They gave me every test possible and when my cultures came back for my vaginal exam and everything came back negative, they ran blood test and stress tests and ended up saying I was a little dehydrated. They said they were going to put me on an IV and I should be all set. That bag didn't work I was still having a lot of contractions and very painful ones. They checked to see if I was dilated or if my water broke and when both were ok they were somewhat less concerned. The baby's heart rate was good so I was SO glad he was ok. When I finished the bag and no difference was showing in my status they then put me on a different bag and they were like if my condition doesn't change they were going to put me on steroids and if the baby was born premature that the steroids would atleast help quicken the lung development. I became so depressed when I heard the news. I finished the bag and still had contractions but the doctor said he didn't want to deliver a preemie so he gave me one last chance (thank God) and the third bag did it! I didn't even go half way through with the third bag that my contractions completely stopped. I was finally discharged around 7 and I went home and so glad I was home with the baby still inside me. So ladies because of this weather PLEASE be sure you stayed well hydrated and stay in cool areas most. I don't want you guys going through the big scare I did, believe me it's not fun. I had all type of IV stuck in me. They were painful and the IV when it was going through it turned FREEZING COLD. The doctor didn't put me on bed rest, but he did say to make sure I have a gallon of water next to my bed and that I should finish the whole gallon before getting more. I feel like a gallon myself right now, the baby's probably doing back strokes at how much water I'm now drinking. lol. Well have to run bye!

Well yesterday I didn't feel nice either. It was 99 degrees out and beyond humid and I felt like passing out. I was drinking lots of water and everyone here at working is WATCHING me. It feels good that everyone is so concerned and care about my little man but it's a little too much. I would go to the bathroom and I have three people follow me, I make a funny face or walk funny they want me to go to hospital or want me to go home and rest. Wow, they're paranoid :o) but I love them. My supervisor was watching me like a hawk and put a gallon of water on my desk and told me to drink it by noon. Not COOL. I left early because I was exhausted and the hot weather wasn't helping me at all. I ate when I got home and I went to sleep at 9:30 or so I felt so sick to my stomach and I ended up throwing up. It made me feel somewhat better but I was trembling a bit so I took a nice bath and when I got out I ate a little bit because I was getting hungry and then I couldn't go back to sleep. So I just stood watching tv and finally went to sleep at 2 to wake up at 7:15 am I was almost late to work but here I am writing away to you letting you know of my condition. I'm feeling FINE now but I still tend to get worried sometimes. Well have to run, talk to you guys later! bye!

Hello again!

Well I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and it didn't go too well. They found protein in my urine, my blood pressure was 140/60 and I'm dehydrated AGAIN! :o( My doctor wanted to admit me to the hospital again but I asked not too because I'll only end up stressing more over the baby's health. I have another appointment next Monday, hopefully all will go well. They said if my pressure was any higher that I can go in cardiac arrest. Nice thing to tell a pregnant woman. He checked my feet and hands for swelling and I'm not, so I guess preeclampsia is out, THANK GOD. I was so worried. He told me to drink more water, and that if next week when he sees me that I have not improved he's going to admit me to put me on fluids again. I've since been drinking gatorade because it has electrolytes. Hopefully it'll help me out a bit. My boyfriend gave me a list of things of NOT to eat and he's pretty much making sure I'm not eating them. As I'm writing, I can feel the baby and he has hiccups :o) it feels so adorable! I'm so tired of drinking water that if I puked I think it would just be water. yuck! Gatorade is pretty disgusting too, I'm not used to drinking stuff like that but after drinking nothing but water I need something new. Hello All!!

How is everyone? Hope everyone is doing okay. I had my doctor's appointment today and it was perfect. I weigh 143 lbs, um my blood pressure is 100/60 which my doctor says is perfect and my belly is 34 centimeters and a half. AND last but not LEAST I'm HYDRATED again. Woo hoo! I'm so relieved! I have six weeks left to go, I WAS anxious before but now I feel like I can wait lol. I'm getting scared as each day passes by, now I just want the baby to stay in there :o( . I'm petrified! If anyone who's previously had kids naturally, or medicated has any advice for me, please feel free to post. I don't know who gets to see what but I watch a show called baby story on the TLC channel, and it walks you through women giving birth and let me tell you the last few stories I've seen haven't helped me that much, they've instead scared me more. Hopefully, for me I won't be in TOOOOO much pain. I really hope not, I'm terrified of needles, and of pretty much pain. Well have to run hope everyone is doing well. Take care Bye!

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm now thirty six weeks and I'm nervous but I'm also ready to get this birth over with! I feel like I've been pregnant for years! Right now I'm in the process of adding my baby shower pictures on here. I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and I weighed in 145 lbs, I've gained a total of 30 lbs, whoo, that's alot but I still look the same but the pop belly is out there :o). I'm exhausted, oh I was a bit dehydrated when they checked me but the doctor said it was fine, he said now that I'm getting closer to my due date to drink normally because if I drink too much I'll lose the amniotic fluid. But all in all everything came out good, I will now be seen weekly! I can't wait!

I have more pictures, I just need to download them to PC, once I have some more I'll be sure to post it in my photo album!

Hello!

I had a doctor's appointment and I now weigh 147 lbs. I'm SO tired, but I have 16 days left, woo hoo! They gave me an internal exam and the doctor felt the baby's head and my cervix was soft and tender but not thinning yet. I'm getting the feeling that I'm going to be a little overdue maybe by a few days give or take. Well I'm still anxious about the whole thing but I'm SO exhausted from being pregnant for almost a year that I'm kind of telling the baby to hurry up and come out! I know when the day comes though that I'll be telling him, no no stay in there! :o) Well since I'm getting so close to my due date they're really not checking me for anything else except my cervix so if anything changes I'll be sure to post it up on here! August 9th 2007

Well I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and the baby is doing good, still in a head down postion. They weren't able to give me an internal exam because my primary doctor had to leave to his country on emergency. Ugh, I feel so worn out, I just came back from Walmart I bought the things I needed for the hospital stay. I can't wait to get this over with. I'm always dreaming about what my baby looks like and the labor and so on. I weigh 146 so I lost a pound (wow!) and everything is pretty much all set. My appointment AGAIN is next week and hopefully they'll give me an internal so I can see what's going on down below. The person who checked me yesterday was a resident and she just checked the status on baby and she had to go bring a real doctor to see what position Baby Avery is in. It hurt like hell him putting pressure to see what body part he was touch but it was great because I got to see my little peanut's tiny figure well more or less anyways. he's so tiny! Anyway hopefully my body makes some changes this weekend or hopefully by the 18th I really can't take it anymore :o( Have to run now, talk to you guys later! Hello All!

I finally had my little boy! he's so BEAUTIFUL ! He weighed in at 7 lbs and 11 oz 20 inches! his name is Avery Josiah Porter and once I'm feeling better I will tell my baby story and post pictures on here, His date of birth was August 16th @ 8:31 pm. and yesterday was when I was discharged from the hospital I'm still a bit sore but the thing that hurts the most are the BOOBS they feel like a ton of bricks so good luck to all the mommies to be who haven't breast fed yet. you think labor is bad wait until your milk comes in :o) Anyway I hope all is well with everyone and I will be back to return the messages that were left on my page! Hello Everyone!

Okay well here's the BABY STORY!!!...

On August 15th it was pretty much a regular day, went to work came back home, ate, took a nap, woke up waited for my boyfriend to get home, womp womp womp, and yada yada yadda.....Okay It's 2 am and I'm feeling really funny, an extremely painful pressure pushing towards my groin area. I thought well whatever it was probably something I ate, I can sleep it off and I did for about an hour and I woke up again feeling extremely horrible down there and I thought well maybe these COULD be contractions as I've never experienced a pain like that since I've been pregnant. So I started timing them and they were about three minutes apart. I had a hard time going back to sleep, finally I did at like 6 in the morning but the pain was still coming and going every three minutes, I was planning on going to work to walk it off while I'm working and the baby had other things in mind. I wasn't able to make it to work because of the pain and I got admitted to the hospital. I got there at 8 or so they put an IV asked me a whole bunch of questions; one of them being if I felt nauseated, feel like making a BM or if I've had the runs in the past few days I told her I did the day before. I was so stupid in telling her that, I should have known better. Normally have diaharrea before birth is NORMAL well the idiot nurse I had took it for DEHYDRATION and the Bi&^ put fluidsto spread the contractions10 minutes apart and sent me home with the freaking pain. Fine it was now 3:30 pm so I went home and decided to hold the pain as much as I could they were back to 3-5 minutes apart again but I didn't call and just stood home to see how much longer I can take. I took a nice hot bath and when I got up I noticed my mucous plug had come out, not all of it but some. So at that moment I called the doc on call and they said to come in when they checked me I was ONLY 2 cenitmeters dialated :o( and 50% effaced so the doctor told me that she didn't want to keep me there because I'd starve and that they didn't know how long it take. So I again went home and this time they gave me a sleeping pill that DID NOT work one bit I don't know how but I managed to get like a twenty minute sleep and I was up again at 2 am with the worst pain you could ever imagine. So I started walking all over my house crying quietly because I wasn't going to go to hospital again to be sent home. At three am I noticed that it's been over an hour and the baby hasn't moved NOT ONCE so I decided to eat cereal, drink grape and apple juice, eat rice and beans and when the baby make a movement I called the doctors bawling. They again admitted me and I told them that I wasn't leaving until I either have my baby out or I'm heavily medicated and they called my doctor and he told them to put me to sleep so that I don't fight the contractions. So I finally got some rest and when I woke up I was 4 centimeters dialated, so they broke my water and that's when they found out that the baby had pooped inside me so I started crying again, but they didn't give me a c section instead they said they let my body dialate itself. I was 4 centimeters, at 3:30 pm. on 8/16 they broke my water and by six o'clock I was 7 centimeters dialated at 7:25 I was ten centimeters but I still had some layer of my cervix that didn't open up yet but I told them I had the urge to push and at 7:35 I began pushing and finally at 8:31 I had my little angel! I wasn't able to hold him because not only was the cord wrapped around tight around his neck but he had also swallowed some meconium, hearing him gasp for air was the worst thing I thought I'd die if something had happened to him. He was with the pediatrician for about 15 to twenty minutes but then they gave him to me he was okay, they said the meconium wasn't in his lungs but in his throat, what a relief....So it's been a week and now my baby weighs 8 lbs 1 oz he's gained 6 oz since he's been home yipee! I love him so much, not even words can describe the feeling. As soon as I got home I seen my maternity clothes and I started crying for about an hour, I also miss being pregnant like crazy I sometimes find myself rubbing my belly and getting anxious as to when is the baby going to move or kick, I miss him being in my belly but I'm glad he's here with me when he can see me, feel me, and hear me not just hear me. I have to tell you that it's the worst pain in the world but when you see what you and your partner created all that pain is gone

Hello Everyone!

Well Avery just turned THREE MONTHS today! Hooray! Well technically not yet, he will though at 8:31 pm so that leaves 5 Hours! I can't believe how time flies! Anyhoo, I have a question who already has a child or has a child a little over 4 months. My question is: When should you start giving babies juice? AND what type of juice that doesn't contain that much sugar or no sugar at all but still tastes good. AND when can a baby start to eat apple sauce?

Hey ya'll! I hope everyone had a good Christmas as well as New Years! Anyone with a new years resolution? I didn't I have everything I have ever wanted. Well on December 7th Avery got sick and at first he only had a fever of 101 and when my pedi called in and told us to take him to the emergency room the nurse had checked his temperature at 104.1! He hadn't had a wet diaper in a day and was very irritable, he was always crying and not eating, they had to put him on IV and at first they thought he had meningitis but when they tested his spinal fluid it came out negative (Thank God) and just came up with "viral infection" They gave him antibiotics and I spent my whole weekend going all over CT so that the pediatrics can monitor his fever, they gave him another shot on Sunday and it was completely gone. Yeah the was the first and last scare I had for my Avery, he's been good ever since. I couldn't be happier, He just turned five months on the 16th and we have another appointment for his six month appointment on the 25th of Feb. Well I have a few pictures, from Christmas and a few weeks ago, but not too many it's not my computer so I can't download as much as I want and also I don't have my camera. But ENJOY my beautiful SON!

Hello everyone! How is everyone and their beautiful babies doing? Well Avery had an appt on the um 17th I think and he weighs 17 lbs 11 oz what a fattie and he's doing really good. He's saying papa da-da and grunts when he doesn't get his way already. Wow how time flies. It was just yesterday he was in my belly and now he's attmpting to crawl. He loves playing peek-a-boo and actually flirts with grown women! People go to him and say what a cutie you are and he turns his face and looks at them with the corner of his eyes cari fresco!
