Monday, 1 September windy - I haven't heard of that before. If your dad is an ob, and he doesn't know what it is after that many years of practising, then your regular ob probably won't either. Don't be too worried if they send you to a specialist as a precaution. I was sent to one for a different reason, and I was glad that I went. (She was one of the two people that gave me Sept 1st as a due date) Js2ndtimeround -
Monday, 1 September Hi I used to breed dogs and we used a doppler device to determine if a dog was pregnant. For a positve pregnancy (before heartbeats formed) it would sound like a whooshing sound. This was determined to be the movement in the amniotic fluid. I would think at your doctors visit the nurse would have recognized this though. I would ask the doctor to listen and see what he says. I don't see why the baby couldn't be moaning though. You might just have a very vocal baby. I wouldn't stress toomuch about it though. Being a doctor is a practice....they see and hear new things everyday....thats why its always like practice to them, everyone is so different. Hope you find out what it is!! Annie40 -
Monday, 1 September No idea either but it sounds a bit spooky! If it was your heart why would you hear it through your belly? try and relax until you see your dr if you can. I'm sure it'll be something logical in the end. Trapped air moving or something would make a moaning sound maybe? It's really facincting though and i'd love to know what it is. Best of luck hopefully someone can enlighten you x x x vikingbabies -
Monday, 1 September HI There, the first thing that comes to mid is that it could be the placenta and umbilical cord! I was at the doc and we also heard strange noises but she was sure that's what it was because I have 2 posterior placentas (twins). If your doc isn't alarmed don't let yourself get all stressed about it! Stress will do you more harm! Also my doc recommended that we do not use a dopplar at home for that very reason that you can just stress yourself out because you don't have a trained ear. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Thursday, 14 August I LOVE the name Noah! When I was pregnant last year (I ended up having a miscarriage) that is one of the names I had picked out if it was a boy and it was going to be Noah Alexander. This time around I've picked Maddox Jack if it's a boy and Hollynd if it's a girl....hopefully it will cooperate at the 3D sonogram so I can know for sure if I have Maddox or Hollynd in my tummy!! ha ha!
