Children Are A Blessing From GOD!

Our gorgeous daughter was born August 19th, 1996.

then.. after being told by doctors that we couldn't have anymore children due to medical reasons, when we least expected it, God blessed us with our little Miracle 11 years later.

Apparently doctors do not know everything. :)

When I was 26 weeks pregnant, a teen-age girl crossed two lanes of traffic and slammed into my vehicle. I went into labor less than 24 hours later.

Our handsome son entered the world 14 weeks early on June 15th, 2007

2 pounds 1 ounce

13 inches long.

Our beautiful daughter Katelyn:

She is growing into such a beautiful young woman that any mother or father would be VERY proud of!

She is a wonderful big sister!

The Prayers and support that we received from this site has been AMAZING!

I have made some new friendships that I will cherish for the rest of my life!

I truly believe that everything happens for a reason!

Thank you for being there for me... you know who you are!! ;)

WOW I went and checked out the site that's AWESOME!!! That's so great that it worked for Z and thanks so much for telling me about it. We go back to the Dr on the 15th and I'm going to check with her and see what she thinks. They are very reasonable so I may go ahead and buy it and take it to her now and see what she says. Gage still gags and chokes and the sitter says he does it alot with her. Thanks again for sharing-I'm so excited!!!!!

thank you, my friend called some lawyers for me and so far they say about the same thing, that they normally start the long visitations around school age. I am nervous because I know the dad wants nothing to do with Matthew if he is not "normal" But I do want my son to have his father, I just know his dad enough to know that he will now try to get me to move down there again, but my daughters father will no longer sign...ugh...but I sent the dad a pic of his 3D u/s and will give the correct name for the ins., if he wants to be involved he can be, I know as you do about a broken home, but I also know what its like to have a father that is horrible...I just dont want him to use my son as he's used his daughter. So we will see, and yes GOD has done so much for me already, I will do my part and leave the rest to HIM. Thank you....again!

I'm not good at coming up with stuff for pics! The last ones you had taken of Zayden were so GREAT!!! He looks so handsome holding his Elmo. I have to pick an outfit for Gage's 1 year pics. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet either!!!

That's nice that you and yur boss have remained close. I LOVE MY JOB!!! I am so lucky to have found it. Everyone here is so nice and they were very supportive when I had Gage. I was sitting at work when I started having contractions and they were all freaking out saying go NOW to the Dr-thank God I listened. When I came home from the hospital they took turns coming by and preparing meals. My shower was supposed to be Sept.17 and I was in the hospital and had just had Gage but they brought everything to the hospital and bought a TON of preemie clothes. I have been so blessed to have this job!!!

I have felt so tired this week and I'm really hoping that this feeling goes away. Last nigth I went to bed early and I woke up more tired than yesterday-crazy huh????

I would love to have another one but I'm not sure yet. A girl would really complete our family but at the same time it feels complete right now. After what my body has been through this year I'm giving her a much deserved break. Dean will be 36 in November and I'm turning 31 so we have time but at the same time it's ALOT of work!!!Everyone asks us if we are going to have anymore and we tell them we can't say yes or no we'll see how we feel in a couple years. I'm just so thrilled that I have the option!!!!

Zayden and Gage are so much alike it's scary!!!! Gage will stick out his bottom lip and look at me like get this person away from me NOW!!!! He does it sometimes with my Dad and worst of all my boss (who is the nicest man) my boss LOVES Gage and everytime Gage comes to visit he pulls away from him and acts scared to death-he has a beard so I think that's what makes him upset-poor Santa won't stand a chance with Gage!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATELYN!!!!!!

Gotta love those Leos!!! My B-day is Friday so your Daughter and I have something in common. I hope she has a WONDERFUL DAY!!!!!

A comedy club sounds fun!!! Way better than a movie! I hope you guys had a great time! Oh Mr. Zayden was a little night owl???? That little guy was enjoying himself. I hope he let you guys sleep in the next day!!!!

On Friday my Mom and Sis are taking me and Gage out for my B-day. I'm looking forward to it. We are going to take Gage to see the Dinosaur exzibit-they move and make noise-I think he'll LOVE IT!!! As long as they aren't too loud-he hates rel loud noises. I read that preemies don't deal well with loud stuff. Is Zayden like that? I'm hoping Dean gets me another gift certificate for a day of pampering you can never get too many of those!!!! I'm always up for getting my toes done or a nice massage-I need it!!!! A little over 2 hours and I'll be headed home-CAN'T WAIT!!! I can hear my bed calling me right now!!!!!!

I'm busy busy busy! How about you? Nicholas started the 3rd grade today and Mason starts Kindergarten tomorrow. I can't believe how fast time goes! I am taking classes still...and I'm totally burnt out! I'm taking fall quarter off so I can spend sometime focusing on myself and my boys! We are all eating healthy and working out now. I'm down almost 14 lbs since I started less than 4 weeks ago! So I'm very excited! How are you doing? Sounds like Zayden is coming along wonderfully! He has such a sweet little face! Anyhow, I'm glad to hear from you! Keep in touch!

Dad's party went well but i don't think that it was as much of a suprise as we wanted it to be but i think he liked it and we had a pretty good turn out. how was your sleep over? well i gotta run laundry is piled up to my eyebrows and still haven't done last nights dishes.

Thanks for the note. Though you give me too much respect as I haven't even had these babes yet - who knows how I will be. But I know that this was God's plan for me as I would have never had planned it this way. One at a time would have been fine by me.

How is your babe doing - 14 weeks early? The car accident is what caused your labour? He must have spent a lot of time in the NICU. How scary. I have been blessed as my first pregnancy only one of my girls only spent two days in the Special Care Nursery (lower care than NICU) and now I am 36 weeks so it is getting more and more unlikely that we will have any NICU time again.

Hey there!

I know the death grip on the spoon is annoying but hopefully he will stop soon. Gage doesn't do it as much as he used to. You should see the holes in his spoons-RIDICULOUS!!!!! I tried the metal spoon too and that was worse I was scared he was going to break his newly aquired teeth!!! I just take my hand off the spoon and evetually he loosens his grip-I think it feels good when they are teething.

Gage is not into people food I try and try and he'll take a couple bites then he's done. I think he'll probably go to college drinking his soy formula-that kid would rather have a bottle! Which by the way he refuses to hold himself-Is Zayden holding his bottles???? Gage will put his hands around it and he can put it back in his mouth if it falls but that's it. I don't know if he's lazy or if he doesn't get the tilting it back thing. And you can forget about a sippy cup the spout really freaks him out. I even bought the evenflo bottle with the handle and sippy spout and he looked at me like I was crazy. I just think when they're ready they'll let us know. But it is hard sometimes to know if we should really be trying to work with them or let it just start on its own. UGGGHHHHH Will the worrying about these babies ever stop?????????? Probably Not!!!!!!

I'm so happy that you and you Husband are going on a date. It's so important to try and make time for just the two of you. Dean and I have started meeting for lunch on Mondays and we have a really great time-although all we talk about is how much we miss Gage, it's still fun to be with just him and feel like we did when we actually went out on dates. I hope you and your Guy have a fabulous evening!!!!!
