February 4th
I WANT HER OUT!!! lol
I cant waite to meet her and I'm def. sick of being prego now that I'm in this uncomfortable stage.

November 5th,
Detailed heart scan today, NO HEART PROBLEMS!!!!!! the lady was so nice she actually gave me 3d pictures, which no one at my doctors has ever offered me before. The baby looks exactly like my son, I guess daddy's genes are dominant lol

I think her name is going to be Carlene Elizabeth Paul... Carlene after my fiance's grandmother and Elizabeth after my great grandmother that just recently passed away... Carlene's kind of a grown up name so I'll probably call her Carllie for short till she's older

So I think we've decided on a name... Carlene Paul, Any ides for middle names?

October 10th,
Yay, just came back from the ultrasound. It's a little girl!!!! I"m so excited

October 7,
19 weeks tomorrow and so excited I have an ultrasound on Wednesday the 10th and hopefully will find out what I'm having. I cant wait!!!!

September... So I'm a 22 year old stay at home mom pregnant with my second baby.. Along with my sister who's prego with number 4 and my dad who's having #3 with his gf ... I actually get a daughter, nephew, and a little brother all in a month and a half

So I found out that I have a 1:20 chance of my baby having downs syndrome, I refused to have the amnio because termination is not an option for me....

This is something I saw on another persons page........
WELCOME TO HOLLAND by Emily Perl Kingsley. c1987 All rights reserved
I am often asked to describe the experience of raising a child with a disability - to try to help people who have not shared that unique experience to understand it, to imagine how it would feel. It's like this...... When you're going to have a baby, it's like planning a fabulous vacation trip - to Italy. You buy a bunch of guide books and make your wonderful plans. The Coliseum. The Michelangelo David. The gondolas in Venice. You may learn some handy phrases in Italian. It's all very exciting. After months of eager anticipation, the day finally arrives. You pack your bags and off you go. Several hours later, the plane lands. The stewardess comes in and says, 'Welcome to Holland.' 'Holland?!?' you say. 'What do you mean Holland?? I signed up for Italy! I'm supposed to be in Italy. All my life I've dreamed of going to Italy.' But there's been a change in the flight plan. They've landed in Holland and there you must stay. The important thing is that they haven't taken you to a horrible, disgusting, filthy place, full of pestilence, famine and disease. It's just a different place. So you must go out and buy new guide books. And you must learn a whole new language. And you will meet a whole new group of people you would never have met. It's just a different place. It's slower-paced than Italy, less flashy than Italy. But after you've been there for a while and you catch your breath, you look around.... and you begin to notice that Holland has windmills....and Holland has tulips. Holland even has Rembrandts. But everyone you know is busy coming and going from Italy... and they're all bragging about what a wonderful time they had there. And for the rest of your life, you will say 'Yes, that's where I was supposed to go. That's what I had planned.' And the pain of that will never, ever, ever, ever go away... because the loss of that dream is a very very significant loss. But... if you spend your life mourning the fact that you didn't get to Italy, you may never be free to enjoy the very special, the very lovely things ... about Holland.

thank for the info. I plan to go naturall but if I have lots of pain I wil get the epidural, I'm not trying to be super women. ohh and I just read your story, they told me at 20 weeks that someting was not ok with my baby. that she had cicts in her head and something in her kidney. they said it could be downs syndrome, I also refused to have an amnio because no matter what we were going to keep the baby. after 3 ultrasound they said the baby was normal the cicts had disolved but that there was still a chance she could have D/S. I still think about it sometimes but I don't think that will change the love I have for my baby.... I do belive in god but have never asked him to send me a baby that doesn't have D/S, I think that he sends these babys to people that will accept them and love them no matter what, so if my baby has downs syndrome I will still love her the same or more......good luck to you I will leave you now cuzz all this makes me sentimental>>>>>>

Hi Sweets. I don't mean to scare you but I read what you wrote about the docs saying 'wait till it gets worse' for your headache, your hand swelling...I wanted to share this bit of info with you and URGE you to demand a check up or walk into ER and tell them you need to be looked at. Best of luck to you - please read this:

What are the symptoms of preeclampsia?

Preeclampsia can come on suddenly, so it's very important to be aware of the symptoms.

Call your midwife or doctor right away if you notice swelling in your face or puffiness around your eyes, more than slight swelling of your hands, or excessive or sudden swelling of your feet or ankles.

Sudden swelling is caused by water retention that can also lead to rapid weight gain, so let your caregiver know if you gain more than 4 pounds in a week.

Be aware, though, that not all women with preeclampsia have obvious swelling or dramatic weight gain — and not all women with swelling or rapid weight gain have preeclampsia.

With more severe preeclampsia, you may experience other symptoms. Call your caregiver immediately if you have any of these warning signs:
Severe or persistent headache
Vision changes, including double vision, blurred vision, seeing spots or flashing lights, sensitivity to light, or temporary loss of vision
Intense pain or tenderness in your upper abdomen
Nausea and vomiting
Symptoms can vary from woman to woman, and preeclampsia can occur without any obvious symptoms, particularly in the early stages.

Some symptoms of preeclampsia, such as swelling and weight gain, may seem like normal pregnancy complaints, so you might not know you have the condition until it's discovered at a routine prenatal visit. This is one of the reasons it's so important not to miss your appointments.

well it worked i guess,i started getting contractions that felt like my belly and lower back were in a vice but they eased ova a couple of hours then just got lots of real tight b/h.. is that wat happend to you? do you think it helped with dialation?

teigan - Saturday, 23 Feb

i had a tablespoon with pinapple juice :) your so right bout the lipstick flavour too, haha, yuk!
i dout it'll start full on labor but any contractions means just that lil more dialation.
i'll let you no how i went later.

just red your post bout the caster oil and it sounds like it does actually work.. i was reluctant on trying coz i heard it makes you sick and thats the last thing i want along with the pain and moods but if it helps labor then i reckon i'll give it a try.. i heard cod liver oil can work but i've been taking it in capsules for a week and nothing so that blows that one out of the water :)
i'll give caster a try today and let you no if it worked on me.

Thanks for the response. It's reassuring to hear that you have had a healthy baby measuring small in the past.

MommyJewels - Tuesday, 19 Feb
Oh my gosh...I am from week 25 and just read your post. I have had a very rough pregnancy and am on strict bed rest. I try to keep a positive attitude everyday and your post really hit me. I am crying so hard I can't control myself. THANK YOU. That was one of the BEST things I have read in a LONG time...or ever!

emmasmommy - Monday, 18 Feb
That was one of the nicest things I've ever read. Thank you!

butterblocksmom - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Just read your message about tired all day and awake all night...so true. I am so bummed I asked my doctor about getting prescription pills to help me sleep because the Gravol is no longer working...she refused! WTH? She said at our stage we should just be taking it ' more easy '. Good grief!

sirat - Thursday, 31 Jan

lilmamma - Sunday, 30 Dec
yea... 6 months of exercise sounds about right for me too- Ive already tipped the scale from 115 to 138! but Id like to fit back into All my old clothes and have everything the same after! You are young like me too tho, so that is a good sign. Well I guess the droopy belly is my biggest fear so that is good, ha. Sounds dumb but I'm too young for a lifetime of 1 piece bathing suits here on after! i have no sisters to compare with... I know its all kinda stupid to worry too much about, but its hard gaining weight and wondering if I'll never see my old hips again... my waistline! Where have you gonnne???

anyways, thanks for that, and good luck with your baby girl- lucky you! xx

first-time-momy - Wednesday, 19 Dec
I don’t know I will be sensitive to the epidural. This is something that my doctor will find out that I am sensitive to it or I should find out? I will do my best to have my first baby without epidural and natural, but I never can say maybe it turns to C-Section. I just want my baby to be healthy. Take care

my family has money, all of my brothers do to, money isn't a problem.

i just dont want my parents to feel disappointed that i threw my life away, i feel confused.

scared, and excited.
all at the same time.

i will just wait a while see how i feel

i dont want to be in your face all the time, but if i need to talk to someone can i talk to you? i dont have any sisters. only 3 older brothers. just a thought..

vanessa;duh - Friday, 5 Oct

That is so weird my hips and thighs are aching too and sore. It is strange all the things your body does while you are pregnant.
