My name is Alicia. I just got my BFP this morning. I can't explain how I am feeling right now...excited and scared would be the best way to describe.

I have been watching everyone's post since April '07, the last time I was pg. I definitely have a few of my favorties. I have followed dvsrunt, jessluvkev, spencerbaby, and babynheavin religously and am hoping for the best for everyone!!!

A little history for all of you...

Found out in Feb. '07 that I was expecting my first. Only to find out a few weeks later that I had in fact miscarried. I bled and the doc did an ultrasound and checked my levels and said the pregnancy was not viable. Over the course of the next 3 weeks, I still felt like I was pregnant. I would go to the doctor every few days and get an ultrasound only to find out that all the "material" has not passed that is why I felt like that. I had a total of 5 us. and a large doctor bill to boot. My last us was on a Monday evening and the doc said that there was just a bit more to pass and I should come back in a few days, she was confident that it would be all over with. It was the very next morning that I didn't feel well... I was passing out and my boss took me into the er. They gave me morphine and sent me home because the my ob said i did not need a dnc. I went home and tried to sleep, my husband started begging me to let him take me back to the er. Good thing I let him because I need em surgery and 3 units of blood to save me. My doc had missed the fact that I also have a baby growing in my tube. She did not check my levels to make sure they were decreasing as she should have. I lost my left tube and hoped to conceive again. It took me a year but I am back!

For everyone out there who is pregnant or has miscarried, make sure that you ask questions when at the dr. No question is stupid and also follow your instincts!

They moved up my first appointment to Wednesday, May 21. I suppose I will have vaginal ultrasound and pelvic exam. Hoping to see a heartbeat.

Wednesday May 21
Saw the heartbeat. YEAH!!! Feeling pregnant now... Almost like I am hung over.

Wednesday June 4
Had another ultra sound this morning. Still not exactly sure why. I guess the doc wanted to double check on a few things. Saw our little baby and heard the heart rate. Probably to date one of the most awesome experiences of my life! I cried.

Tuesday, June 17
Regularly scheduled appointment. Doc said everything went well.
Heart Rate- 168

Wednesday, July 23
Regular appointment. The baby was moving around so much it was hard for the doctor to tell me the heartrate. It was kicking the microphone.
Heart Rate- 152
