Hey Mommies, mommies-to-be and the ones ttc. My name is Arlene and I have the most wonderful husband to be James. I have 2 beautiful little girls, ages 9 and 2. Well this is our 2nd baby together but my 3rd since my oldest is from a previous relationship. My girls are named Rosemarie and Aiyana. My honey is hoping for a boy this time around. I was kinda wanting another girl but if it's a boy I'll be happy as long as our lil one is healthy. I don't have my next u/s until another couple months so I won't know the sex of the baby til then. =( lol Cant wait! Well I found this site by accident and thought it was really cool and interesting to read other womens stories. I'm so excited and was really worried when I first found out I was pregnant this time cause I had a m/c in Sept./2007. I wa suppose to be 9 wks. and I kept bleeding & cramping so I went to the ER and had to have a D&C since the stopped growing in the 6th wk. That was very devastating but I believe everything happens for a reason. Well I'm looking forward to speaking to some of you ladies and making new friends to experience this blessing with. 8 weeks

Well I `m 8 weeks today. I `m very excited about this pregnancy and hope everything goes well since I had a m/c September 1st. I have my first u/s on Friday the 22nd of Feb. and I cant wait to see if my lil one is okay. Well I feel a migraine kicking in and it sucks cause I cant take my med. This is just a lil something goin on so far =).

Today is the 23rd of Feb. and I had my first ultrasound yesterday. We were so glad to hear a heartbeat and see our little teddy bear lol. So far everything seems to be doing okay. 9 weeks 1 day

Well the last time I went to my Dr. `s appt. he asked if I had problems with nausea and I replied not much. He said if I had problems let him know and he could prescribe something for it and I quote he said " cause it will get worse ". Boy did he jinx me lol. After that day I started to get really nauseated to the point where I didnt eat much and just felt sick all day with a headache. I thought if this keeps up I `ll have to call him up. Well so far I `m doing better and hopefully it stays just this bad. I get a lil nauseated here and there but everything else is cool I guess. Oh except that just brushing my teeth really makes me sick and gag lol. I hate it! My next appt. isn `t until I `m in my 13th week. I can `t wait so I can hear my baby `s heartbeat again. My honey is hoping for a little boy. I `m kinda hoping for another girl.. even though I have 2 girls already. If it `s a boy I `ll still be happy as long as he or she is healthy. Another thing.. I been craving some buttered rolls from golden corral lol. Looks like I `ll have to go there for dinner lol.. just for the rolls. Well thats just some stuff going on so far. If any ladies want to talk just hit up. Im a cool person to talk to and get along with. I would love to hear some of you ladies stories. 10 weeks

Well I had a scare at 2AM. I really got woken up because my sister wanted me to watch my nephew so they can take their baby to the ER cause she was really sick. So I `m like okay. I then go use the bathroom and I had like some goowey blood.. I know sounds eww lol. So I `m scared and call the Dr. and hes on call at the hospital and says he wont be able to see me until the next day and it would be better to go to the ER. So I gotta call my sis and tell her I can `t watch my nephew(felt bad but I had an emergency too). Well good thing everything was okay with the baby but they did say I had a threatened m/c and could still have one so to be on pelvic rest and to relax and try not to stress. I `m still really scared and worried since I had a m/c already before. Well just wanted to update real quick.

10 weeks 2 days

Well I `ve been feeling a lil better. Less cramping and spotting. I just hope it stops completely and everything goes well. I feel lil movements here and there so I know everything is good for now. I `m afraid of having another m/s. I ordered one of them fetal dopplers so I can check on my baby on my own and have peace of mind. Also I `m planning to get one of them new gender predictors to see if it really works. It `s 90% accurate so we `ll see. I wont have a u/s until another couple months to really find out the sex. I `m just to anxious to know I `m gonna buy the gender predictor and see what it says. If any of you ladies used one before let me know how it worked okay?? Well thats it folks! I `ll update when there is some news.

11 weeks 1 day

I had my Drs. appt. today and was really nervous since I was bleeding the last time. He tried to pick up the heart beat with the doppler but couldn `t so he did a u/s. I was relieved that everything is fine and the baby had a strong hbr of 176.. yay! It was so cute cause he/she was kicking its little legs. I `m so happy! Yesterday I was worried because I had bought me a fetal doppler online and couldn `t pick up the heart beat, but I guess it `s still a little early. I have my next appt. on March 24th so we `ll see how everything goes. Hopefully I get another u/s. My doc said he `ll see me every 2 weeks for now so I won `t have to go all 4 weeks worrying about my lil bun. Oh ya so far I have gained 3 pounds.. hmm I hope I dont gain too much this pregnancy. Well last night I had a dream that I went to the docs for a u/s and they said I was having a boy. I know usually they say you have the opposite of what you dreamt so we `ll see. Just wanted to make a note of that lol. I been kinda hoping for a boy lately. It `ll be weird since my family is nothing but females. I have 5 sisters and no brothers and even the rest of my family is mainly females. So maybe we `ll have a lil man in the house. =)

Well today I am so happy to be in week 12. Im gonna do that intelligender test today and post the pic up so check it out ladies. I know I know its not for sure but Im just doing it for fun and see if it matches the results from my u/s later on in pregnancy. Well theres nuthin much going on just same ol stuff. Today I finally heard my babys heartbeat at home. Wooohoo!! It was 165 bpm. Im so happy since I tried for the last couple of weeks and it wouldn `t pick it up.

Monday, 24 Mar

Well I went to my appt this morning and got to see my lil bean again on u/s. Im so happy cause the baby was so active and jumping around. It looked like he/she was waving hi lol. I asked the doc if its too early to tell the sex since I hear alot of the women say they found out around 13 and 14 weeks. He said its still too early to tell for sure but he said he `ll try and see. Well we saw alil pointy thing and he said it looked like a boy but he didnt want to give false info. cause it could be the cord. He was trying to move the baby around and the thingy was still there and he said well maybe it is a boy cause every time he looked it was still there. Im so hoping for a lil boy but Im just gonna wait to find out the sex later since we arent fully sure yet. Im keeping my fingers crossed lol. Well everyone have a great day.

Today I am 14 wks and 2 days. I haven't updated in a while so I thought I'd do that now. Well like a week ago I ordered a crib bedding online from Walmart. It's an 11 pc. set for boy or girl since I don't know what I'm having yet. It's so cute.. its a jungle theme with soft baby colors. It has light aqua green, baby blue and some light pink and purple but not too much for a boy. It comes with a lamp and wall decor and all the bedding of course. I cant wait to set it all up but I have a long way to go still plus we are planning to move so I might as well wait til then anyways. Well so far everything is good with the pregnancy. I been feeling the lil bean move more and its so exciting. I cant wait til he/she moves alot more to where I can feel and see it on the outside of my belly. I have my next dr.'s appt. on April 21st and I'm hoping I get another u/s to determine the gender. I'm really scheduled for a test to determine my risk of having a down syndrome baby. Today I actually saw my belly wiggle when the baby moved.. it was so cute! I been feeling flutters since early on but Im starting to feel the baby actually poke my stomache now and its so exciting. I cant wait til I start to feel it move alot more and stronger. I don't really have anything else going on just that I have an appt. on the 21st and I'm hoping I get a u/s to see what we're having for sure. If not then I have to wait til they schedule one which probably won't be until I'm like 21 wks.=( lol I'm just really anxious because I want to shop already lol. Well I'll update soon.

I had my doc appt yesterday and the babys heart rate was between 155-160. They scheduled my next scan for May 12th so I get to find out the gender then. Cant wait! This is gonna be a long 3 weeks for me lol.

I had my 20wk scan and everything looked fine with the baby but we were'nt able to find out the sex. At first when the doctor looked we all thought girl but then when he tried a lil later on it looked like a boy since we did see a pointy thing. He said it could be the cord.. again.. but he didnt see any testicles so that made him think it was a girl. He gave us 60% girl.. which doesnt really tell us for sure. Since the doctor is transferring to work at the hospital for a new job I have to find another doctor and transfer there. I decide to go to my old Dr. I had with my last daughter.

Wednesday, 21 May

Today I had my appt with my new doctor (really my old doc since I had her before). So I will be seeing her for now on. Which is good since she does alot more than the other doctor does. My blood pressure was higher than the last time and she ordered some blood work to be done plus a 24 hour urine test. Which I hate since I have to collect all my urine a some container.. ugh! She also ordered another ultrasound which we are really happy and excited about since we have another chance to find out what we're having. I hope this time the baby isnt shy and reveals its goods lol. Either way I'll be excited as long as my lil bun is healthy. Im just so happy to be preggo. Either way we have our boy and girl name. I just cant wait to start shopping for the blue or pink. Well I'll be updating next week for the ultrasound.

Tonight was the first time that daddy felt the baby move. It was so cute cause he/she kept kicking daddys hand on my lower tummy. Probably trying to tell him to move lol.

We had our scan and found out we are finally having a lil man. He had his little legs folded up to his head.. flexible thing lol. Everything looked fine with him. He weighed 1pound 2 oz. and he measured exactly my week(22). The bad thing is they had to put me on some meds for high blood pressure. They make me feel like crap. Oh and after finding out its a boy we went and bought some cute boy outfits.. instead of neutral.

Monday, 16 June

I had my ultrasound follow up today at the perinatal office. I got to see Gabriel and once again he had his lil legs folded to the top of his head lol. We didnt get to see a good view of his face because his legs were covering them. I guess he was trying to hide from us. He weighs about a pound 14oz. The tech said he is growing like he should be. The bad news is I have to start taking insulin shots for my blood sugar. For some reason its high in the mornings but the rest of the day its okay. I hate going through all of this stuff. I just cant wait to have my lil man. The good news is my bp came out normal again and thats one thing less I have to worry about now. At least for now. I did plan on having atleast one more baby after Gabriel but after all of this mess I have to go through Im not so sure now. My doc already told me that my body isnt in the best health for more kids. If we do have more I will be sure to get healthy and lose some weight before doing so. Also Ive been shopping for Gabriel like crazy. I think I need to calm down on that for awhile. Docs told me that since I have the gestational diabetes that he can come out really big and I just really hope that he isnt. I have no idea how I would handle it since it was hard enough delivering my 2 daughters which were 6 pounders. Well I'll try and update again soon.

Tuesday, July 15

I had my ultrasound yesterday at the peri.. my baby weighed in at 3lbs 5oz. I told the tech.. isnt that too big.. she said you think so. Im thinking to myself uh ya shouldnt you know, you're the tech lol. Well she said he's a little above average but that hes fine and within 10 days of my due date. Im so scared since I have the gestational diabetes and what if he is a big baby. They had already told me before that if he is huge then they will induce me. Not sure how early though. He was also head down. I figured since Ive been feeling him way below. I guess thats where that needle sting is coming from. Im just glad hes moving and okay. I cant wait to see him. Im so in love with him already. Oh I also had my blood drawn today. I have been so lazy and done it at the last minute lol. I was suppose to do it before my appt tomorrow and I just hope my doc gets the results in time.. oops lol. Well another doc appt tomorrow.. we'll see how everything goes. She is suppose to be checking my cervix. Well talk to you all soon.

Tuesday, Aug 6

Today I went to see Dr. Mirto and things seem to fine other than I have dialated to 1cm already. I asked her if that was bad and she said if it was my first baby she would have said yes but that I should be fine. She said it could be from the discharge softening the cervix. I have been worrying that I will have this baby ealier than expected but idk maybe Im just being paranoid. I have my next ultrasound on the 11th so we'll get to see what Gabriel weighs then. Im thinking he will be in the 5's or 6's lol. At least I have his bassinet set up already incase he decides to show his face soon. Plus we finally got him a dresser for his clothes so Im happy about that. The only thing is that we had planned to move before he came and thats not happening. We might not move until November or December which I was upset and disappointed about but whatever.. Im over it now lol. I'll just make the best of it and enjoy having my little man. Well I'll be updating within the week about my ultrasound.

Monday, Aug 11

I had my peri appt today and had another ultrasound.. Gabriel is weighing in at 4lbs 6oz. So glad since I thought he was gonna be in the 5lbs or something lol. Just glad to hear he is doing fine. We saw little fuzzies and the tech said that was his hair. So for sure we know he has some hair lol. I am 32+6 tonight. They highered the dose on my insulin so now Im taking 12units instead of 8. Well they are going to be seeing me weekly now so my next update will be next week.

Monday, Aug 25

Well today Rose started her first day of school so I took her there and went to see Dr Mirto for my appt. She did another exam and I am dilated to 2cm now and she said his head was right there.. So glad since that means he may be here soon. I was in pain the whole time walking from the parking garage to her office. Plus I had to go grocery shopping and it was a pain just walking around in there. The doc said all these bh contractions Im getting are softening and dilating my cervix. Im so anxious and cannot wait til he is here. I already love him so much and plus Im tired of being preggo already lol. Well my next ultrasound is next week so hopefully we get to find out what he weighs.

Tuesday, Sept 2

I had my ultrasound today to see how the babys lungs are.. hes doing fine and breathing well. They didnt do measurments or weight.. thats next week. After the ultrasound I had another appt with Dr Mirto and they gave me the option to get checked to see if Im dilated. I said yes for sure.. I figured it would give me hope that things are progressing lol. I was 2cm on the inside and 3cm on the out, and he was engaged. Last time his head was down but was bouncy and this time she said its in place. So all we are waiting for now is for little man to pick a Birthday. I cant wait and hoping its really soon. My next ultrasound and ob appt is next Tuesday so I'll be updating then..if I make til then lol.

Tuesday, Sept 9

I had my appt at the peri and Gabriel is weighing 6lbs 6oz. and they decided to give him 2 weeks to come and if not then they will set a date to induce. The nurse said when he's born he will probably be 7.5lbs. I guess we'll see when he comes. After that I went to see my ob Dr Mirto and she checked me and I was 3cm dilated and she set my induction date for 9-24. So if my little man doesnt come on his own he will be born on that day. So happy but so nervous at the same time. Im scared to be given pitocin again.. eek! Well My next appt will be next week so we'll see if I make it by then lol.

Wednesday, Sept 17

Had my last ultrasound before the big day on the 24th. Baby was breathing good and heart looked good aswell. Also went to see Dr Mirto and she checked me again.. Im still 3cm dilated and Im 50% effaced. She decided to do a sweep on me to see if I get things going on my own and so far just a little cramping here and there. My weight is the same like always.. which is good to me. So these are my last appts and Im getting induce the 24th unless Gabriel comes earlier.. Im so nervous. I have to be there at 6am. Excited but nervous! Oh and I asked her how she will induce and she said she may try to break my water first and see if I labor on my own but not sure since it depends on how I am at that time. She may give me pitocin so Im scared. Well the next time you'll hear from me I will have little man already.. hopefully lol.
