2.9 hours ago So I finally got a chance to look at your blog and let me say you look fantastic and the girls look so happy! They have definantly grown. I love the names, I love that you use the same soothie pacifiers that we do and I love that you are getting out and about with them. We just took our first plane ride this week to go to grandma & grandpas house. I think you say it best when you say true gifts from God cause we are totally in love with our babies as well. I havent started a blog but I know that I should. I did such a great job while I was pregnant updating..things are just busier now LOL I will try and keep an eye on yours and see what I can do about starting a blog for the babies... take care! amyj -
Sunday, 11 May I would LOVE sleeping tips. That would make my life sooo much easier!! My MIL will watch the girls M-T-TH and I will take off Wed and my husband is taking off Friday's. I will let you know how it goes this week. The girl's spent the night at my MIL's last night while my husband and I went to a college graduation party. We are just hanging out at the house today. It is in the 90's down here and I am going to work on my tan today!! :)))
You are going to have to give me tips on traveling with the twins too! I bet your family is soo excited about seeing the girl's. What a nice vacation!!
We are planning a few outings in the Summer.
Harrison will participate in the World Series in Louisiana the week after the 4th of July. My brother is getting married in August in the Texas Hill Country near Austin. We are going to end the Summer renting a beach house in Galveston for Labor Day. I will need good packing and traveling tips for the babies!!
I ususally go with my sister to an out-of-town Astros game every year. She flies for SWA. I am not sure if I will do that this year. My DH is taking one of his client's to The Texans-Steeler's game in Pittsburgh, so maybe I can pull off a Fall baseball trip with my sister??? Do you watch the Rockies?
That is funny about the top-half of the dress!! Welcome to my world!!!!!!!
Happy First Mother's Day to you and give the girl's hugs and kisses from their Texas friend's!!!!!! amyj -

Monday, 5 May Thank you!!! We are enjoying EVERYTHING you sent. I did not have very many preemie clothes and the girl's are getting a lot of wear out of them!! What are your plans for Mother's Day? Please give Addison and Kerrigan a big hug from us!!! I will write more later after I get my messages answered. i have been away too long!! xxxAmyxxx padow -
Thursday, 1 May Well, I was typing you a message and my power went out.....I am soo glad you sent me a message because just earlier this week, I was thinking about you and reminded myself that I needed to send you a message to see how you are doing. I know you must be soo busy with your little angels! How are they doing? Growing so fast?? I am doing really good. I can't believe how fast time is going, but I am soo excited to meet Norah--it's going to be so amazing! I've been getting things together (somewhat), but we are moving mid-July, so we are not setting up her room until after we move. It's hard not be able to get it all ready, because I am soo excited. Feeling pretty good...ankles are a little swollen and my heels are numb (?) but other than that--doing really good and taking it easy. I've been taking naps during the day pretty regularly now--my dh said that if I don't, he's not going to come home! I guess that means I'm a big grouch when I don't, huh?? So, how are you? Didn't you have a c-section? How was the recovery from that? I keep anticipating birth and I just hope I'm not a big mess afterwards! I worry too much, though! DH loves me, no matter what happens! Well, I hope you are doing well and type me when you get another chance! Also, I will check out your blog too! Take care! JessH -
Wednesday, 30 April Time is going by way too fast. there are so many times I wish I could stop the clock. there might have been a lot of aches and pains but they were all so worth it. I wish I knew then how great being a mom would be now. How are things with your girls? are you working or staying home? breastfeeding or bottle? We may have talked about this I just cant remember! Im back to work, still breastfeeding I just pump at work. speaking of babies I hear one fussing now -- talk to you soon! AmyJ -
Monday, 14 April Hey girl!! Not feeling the hokey pokey this weekend! Ouch!!!!! Now I have to hold off for my son's baseball tournament this weekend. I do not want to miss that! The ballpark is going to be the girl's second home!
This is my last week of work, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have been taking some dictation to work on at home.
Oh Girl!! I am an idiot!! I got sooo fried on Saturday laying in the pool. I was in there 15 minutes laying on a float and my DH decides to go buy a basketball goal for the pool. I need help getting out of the float and I told him I would be fine until he returned. He said he did not want me to drown, but I assured him if I fell off I would float for sure! He told my son he would feel better if he would stay with me while he was gone. There was a breeze, so it did not feel like I was getting too much sun. He was only gone 30 minutes or so and then I had him help me out of the float. Of course then my son and I had to play a game against the DH. We did have to cheat a little to win, though. I am surprised I did not go into labor with all the fouling going on between me and the DH. I lotioned down Saturday night because I could feel the heat and when I woke up Sunday I was even puffier. I do not need any help in that department!!!!
It was a beautiful weekend, though. Too bad I was unable to enjoy the weather Sunday as I did not dare to expose myself to the sun again.
I LOVE the updates on the girl's. They are getting big and they do look soooo much alike the older they get. I will need to get my husband to set one of those
sites up, especially since his entire family lives in England. There are a few family members that are flying in next Monday for the birth, so we are excited!!
I can't wait for the girl's to arrive. It sounds like you are having so much fun with Addison and Kerrigan!!!
I will keep you updated!!!!

Friday, 11 April Hey Girl!!! I went to the OB and specialist yesterday. I was told they are cooked and ready to go! He said the lungs were developed. He told me and the DH to "get busy" this weekend and we might have them early! I am thinking NOT as I am still completely closed. My plans for the weekend is to get everything ready and bags packed.
Wow! The girl's are sleeping 6 hrs at night. That is GREAT!! Thanks for the tip on the babywise book.
I need all the info I can get!!
Thank you so much for thinking of my girl's. You are right about the hot weather. We do not get much use out of Winter clothing, but we do enjoy the little cold we do get as it is a welcome feeling after a long, hot, Summer!!! I am planning on lounging in my pool all weekend as one of my last weekend's before the girl's arrive! I just bought a new float, so I am ready to go. Actually...with the way I look now I probably do not need a float!!
How are the girl's doing? I bet they are growing now!!!
Are you able to tell them apart now that Kerrigan is catching up to Addison?
My DH and I were talking about sending you something so let me know if there is a special restaurant by ya'll that you and your DH like to frequent. I am not even sure if ya'll have time to get out much with the girl's. If not if there is a favorite store you like to shop at or spa you like to be pampered at. We want to send you something for thinking of our girl's. If not we are going to go online and just guess :)))
I hope you have a great weekend!! Give the girl's a BIG TEXAS HUG from us!!!

Wednesday, 19 Mar Yes....C-section for sure!!! I had one with my son too. It was an energency c-section, so I have the old-fashioned cut...vertical from the belly button down. He had a prolasped cord so he cut of his oxygen. They had him out in seconds! My cut this time will be the regular horizontal cut. I am very happy with the c-section avenue. I would much rather deal with that then ever go through labor again!! So...I was having a c-section either way...multiples or not. My OB did tell me she deliver's all her twins via c-section anyway. Did you have staples with your c-section? I did, but I hear now they are using glue???
Four hour stretches at night is great!!!! I bet you are happy about that. Mine are on different schedules in the womb. I have a night owl and an early riser, so I hope I do not have problems getting on schedule when they come.
That is funny you miss humidity. You will not here anyone complain of low humidity down here. The humidity is always high. We live off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. We live about 30 miles inland from Galveston Island. It keeps us on our toes during hurricane season!!
It is a pretty day today, but I am stuck in the office :(
We have Friday off for Good Friday. Do ya'll have Easter plans? This month has flown by it seems!
I see my OB and have my next scan on Wednesday.
I was going to ask you about activity/gym mats. Do your girl's have a particular one they like? I have been looking and can't decide which one to purchase. Do you have any suggestions?
Who is going to watch the girl's when you go back to work? I know you said you would mainly work from home and just drive a few days to Denver.
My feet are starting to get puffy so I need to rest this weekend.
I am so glad to get a three day weekend!!!

Tuesday, 18 Mar Congratulations!! Your girls are beautiful. How is it caring for twin girls? I want twin girls so bad. I asked God for them and I know he has answered my prayer. God bless you and your family. AmyJ -

Thursday, 13 Mar I am feeling good and just popping out!!! I have now gained 4 pounds with the pregnancy. I am still working and plan to keep working up until I go in..which will be????
I am seeing my OB every two weeks. I saw her today. Guess what...she told me she would be out from 4/4 to 4/21. So either one of her associates will deliver or I will wait until the 21st. My husband does not want to wait until she returns because he is sooo inpatient!!!
I will talk to my specialist about it on the 26th. I will know more then.
Harrison is in a wax museum at his school tonight. He is Elvis. I am so miffed at my DH because he picked today to drop our travel trailer off at the camp grounds. I hope he makes it back in time!
You are correct about weather down here. We will be in the upper 80's tomorrow. If the rain holds off I picture me in the pool this weekend like a beached whale!!! Everyone down here headed for the snow for Spring Break. We were planning on doing that until I got pregnant. Maybe next Spring Break! Harrison is dying to see snow!!
Three hours at a time sounds great to me. Especially if they are doing it together. Kennedy is an early riser like her Dad and Karsyn is a night owl like her Mom, so I hope I can get them into sync!! I plan on supplementing too!!
I did not produce enough milk for Harrison and I had a bit of PPD. I am hoping to avoid that this time. I think supplementing from the start will help. I appreciate all your expert advice!!!

Monday, 10 Mar The updated pics are great!! You can tell that Kerrigan is catching up with Addison. I had my US last Thursday. The girl's weighed 3.4 and 3.8. My specialist said to hold on for 5 more weeks and that 6 would be golden. So I will get with my OB on Thursday and see if we can narrow down a date. I want to wait until 37 weeks, which is April 18th, but Harrison has a tournament that weekend and I do not want to miss it.
I start going for weekly NST and bio-physical tests starting next week. My shower's were this weekend. Now I just have to buy the things I still need. That is great that you have a few weeks before you return to work and even better that you can do things from home! How long are the girl's sleeping through the night? I hope you are getting enough sleep! Take Care of yourself! xxAmyxxx doublethejoy2lilboys -
Friday, 7 Mar Thank ya! Man I wanna meet my boys! :0) 37 weeks 1 day today... doublethejoy2lilboys -
Tuesday, 4 Mar Okay, good. I feel normal now. Yeah, I hate looking at my feet, knees, and legs. Ew. They look so poofy, lol. I keep gaining weight when I go to the doc. I know it's got to be that water! I stay thirsty though! I will probably gain around the same amount of weight. Nope, no ambien. I'm actually sleeping pretty well, except for having to go pee every 3 hours, lol. I guess I'm lucky on that aspect. doublethejoy2lilboys -
Tuesday, 4 Mar Feeling really good still but, wow...my feet look HUGE! Did you swell a lot in the end?? The doc said it is normal. I just don't want to do this for 2 more weeks, I know it can't be good for my legs/feet and heart, oh well. doublethejoy2lilboys -
Wednesday, 27 Feb Oh wow! I hope I can do that well with my boys! That sounds like a good schedule! Awww! It seems like everyone I've talked to on here has already had their babies now! I'm ready to meet mine now :0) baby-beans -
Wednesday, 27 Feb Hey there! How are you? We are getting SOME sleep... :) Danny goes back to work tomorrow, so I'll have my first day at home with the boys by myself. Wish me luck! I see that your girls are identical- how exciting! Our boys look enough different for us to be pretty sure they are fraternal. Take care!

Monday, 25 Feb Well the healing time doesn't sound as bad as I thought it would be. I'm going to the docs tomorrow for my 36 week appointment...yay! Are you getting much sleep? Do you wake them up to feed them or do you just wait until they wake up? AmyJ -
Sunday, 24 Feb Oh wow!!! I did not know you found out they were identical...you are right...it is the rarest. That is great!! My specialist has said from day one mine are identical too. He told me on my first visit they started out as one baby and then 4-6 days after conception they split into two identical babies. Even at my last US the US tech asked me if my Dr had told me that they were identical. I told him that he had and he said that he thought so too. My brothers still do not know....33 years later. My Mom had no idea she was having twins until delivery. She wanted to know, but they were born May 3rd and the Dr had a plane to catch to the Kentucky Derby, so he was in a hurry and down the chute her placenta went! I think my husband and I are going to buy them that test for thier upcoming Birthday to find out. My brother's girlfriend does not think it has more to do with being more alike than looking alike. My brothers can finish each others sentences....know what each other is thinking....talk to each other without saying a word....etc. My brother's girlfriend has twin cousind that are fraternal and look alike...but are polar opposites. I know the fraternal gene is hereditary on the Mother's side. That makes me think that my brother's are fraternal and mine are too??? I am going to have them test mine at birth just so I know for sure!
So...How are you telling those sweet babies apart? They do look exactly alike!!!
I just went to my first Mom's of Multiple's meeting Thursday night. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the bi-annual buy and sell next month. It is coming at just the right time.
I am still working and plan on working as long as possible. I am praying that I don't go on bed rest.
I want to take two weeks after the girl's are born off and then come back on a modified work schedule....quit laughing at me!!! I know that sounds crazy! Don't worry...I have nothing in writing!! Are you going back to work or staying home?
Are the girl's on the same schedule? Are you getting much sleep at night?
Take Care and give those sweet babies some BIG Texas hugs from me!!
