Thursday, 24 April i still bf and my daughter is 10 months my period came on around six months after having her but i've never lost my sex drive ...but it might be a sign though melsvb -
Friday, 18 April I dont think it has anything to do with the breastfeeding, i think it may just be your body coming back around to itself. good luck, idk about my sex drive cause I have no man..hehe.., are you pumping when you are at work?? I pump at work Angiepangie -
Wednesday, 16 April I was between 5 and 6 months post-pregnancy when I started my period again. I had been hoping it would hold off longer! A second one wasn't in my plan! We're really exited now though...the shock has worn off! So it may be any day for you now...so don't forget to pack something for yourself in the diaper bag when you go out! :0) Angiepangie -
Tuesday, 15 April I was pumping every 3 hours when Douglas was 6 months...give or take a half hour...day and night. At that age that is how often they would be nursing, so that is how I pumped. My supply by that time was well established, and I could get about 5 oz from each breast in about 15 min. I froze the extra. I used the hospital grade Medela pump, so I could pump both breasts at the same time. If you pump until you have had 2 'letdowns' before stopping a pumping session, you should see an increase in your milk supply within 12 hours. Then maybe you don't have to pump as frequently. Your baby's primary source of nutrition is still going to be breast milk...so even though you're offering solids, don't expect their appetite for milk to diminish. I started pumping every 4 hours around 9 months, then every 5-6 hours at 10-11 months. Remember if they ever get a cold or feel 'under the weather', they go right off solids, so you want to make sure there is always extra breast milk around. Hope this helps. Angiepangie -
Tuesday, 15 April I noticed you requested a page for pumping..I exclusively pumped for my first born for 12 months. He was born 'tongue tied' and I had flat nipples. Everyone (including the lactation consultant) said I would be lucky to get 3 or 4 months...but I did it! If you ever want to chat, just post me. jenakers -
Tuesday, 15 April "Head rubbing" is cranial manipulation therapy. It is a new technique much like a chiropractor. They are suppose to be able to reshape their heads by pushing on nerves and the skull plates. You can google it to find more info. We took our son to that doc from 8 months to 10-1/2 months. We felt, for us, that it was a waste of time and did nothing to correct the problem. It's a tough situation. Only you and your hubby can decide what (if anything) you do. Our son was considered sever. I felt, like you, that I needed to try to do something before it was to late. Luckily my husband felt the same. Take care, Jen Bri -
Monday, 14 April That's funny. I wasn't trying to get pregnant at all. I was on birth control but afterwards I was looking into when I would have ovualated and such and could have sworn I was having a girl. My sister tried the same thing for a girl and now has two boys. I will be happy with whatever we get but I think it would be fun to have one of each. I can't wait but then again I can. My little boy has been getting up every hour during the night and it is killing me. I just want his teeth to come in so we can get back to normal. I think when Kekoa is potty trained we will go at it again. HAHA! Bri -

Hey thanks. We think he is a keeper. you little girl is so cute. I can't wait to have a little girl. I know I can't predict what we are having but I'm going to use the chinese calander and an ovulation kit and try for the best. HAHA! I haven't seen the chinese calander be wrong yet so we'll see! HAHA! kirstin -
Monday, 14 April Thanks a lot for the info! I am definitely going to buy a Medela, either the Pump in Style or the Advanced. This will probably be my last child, but ya never know!! But, I really want to make sure my baby gets breastmilk, either from breastfeeding or from pumping and putting it in the bottles. Thankyou so much for taking the time to write me!! jenakers -
Saturday, 12 April Sorry to hear about your experiance with the cranial people. Fortunately the people we went to were the exact opposite. With no pressure at all. I wish they could have at least been helpful for you. Take care, Jen jenakers -
Thursday, 10 April Hello, I am so glad to have helped in any way. The excess fluid is fairly common and is NOT harmful. It only causes some physical delays because it takes him a little longer to get a stronger neck to componsate for the added weight. It doesn't effect fine motor skills. Once he has complete head control he'll catch up to his milestones and really already has. Take care, Jen *Precious.Moments* -

Wednesday, 9 April I am happy to be able to help anyone before they end up in our situation. Your daughter is so cute. Limit time spent in excersausers/walkers. Tummy time issues can be helped with neck strengthening excercising. Once she has more control of her neck she will be more comfortable on her tummy. Also it is a tiny red flag if they favor one side or don't like to look up look up. If she lays on the left side of her head, then she prefers to look over her right sholder and vice versa. Once you know the direction she prefers to look in, then work on getting her to look the opposite direction. Here are some things to help with neck strength. Once she is comfortable looking both ways then you can get her to lay on the unfavorable side and balance her head out. 1. You can help her excercise by making noise (clapping) or shaking an interesting toy on both sides of her head (just to the limit of her sight) to make her look left and right. It is also important to make her look up. It is a long process and it could take several weeks before she has full motion. 2. Lay her on the floor, on her back, take each hand in yours and pull her into a sitting position then back down again. Like baby sit-ups! 3.You can also rotate her in her crib (head where her feet normally are)or put a crib mirror/toy on an unfavorable side. 4.I have heard great things about the Bumbo seat all from doctors. My son was to old. The end game is to get as much tummy time as you possibly can out of her. Tummy time is actually a form of PT. My son STILL won't cooperate when it comes to tummytime. We have recently found out our son has a fairly common problem where he has a little more fluid around his brain than normal. They found it on a CT scan. It makes his head a little larger and heavier. The fluid should assimilate by age 2. *The best suggestion we received was to carry him around on his tummy and show him things around the house. It made him look around, lift his head and stretch without being flat on the floor. It really strengthened his muscles AND OURS! A modified form of this is hold her sideways, with her back on your tummy and the flat side of her head up. This strengthens her weaker side. After she starts rolling over: sit on the floor and lay her chest over your leg with a toy on the otherside. When you do this, try scooching her knees under her and she will eventually push her arms up on your leg and will be in a kneeling position. There is also another technique for sitting up. Lay her on the floor bend one leg and place your hand on it for support. Take her hand (opposite her leg) and hold it. She should naturally want to pull her hand toward herself and wha-la she will pull herself into a sitting position. It doesn't always work right away but, she will eventually get the idea and want to do it on her own. Good luck and congratulations. Take care, Jen

Tuesday, 25 Mar Hey, I saw your post. My baby's head is big and lump sided. It's 44cm. Her doctor is worried that it's growing too fast so she's having a ultrasound tomorrow. I pray that everything is ok. Leah is such a happy little girl. Your daughter is a cutie. sonya75 -
Thursday, 20 Mar That's funny you mentioned the beer for increasing milk supply. My OBGYN told me that as well. I have 1 a day as well. It's fine if you don't overdo it. I don't know if it really does increase it or not. But I don't mind trying it. joeyandzacksmommy2007 -
