I'm Alex and me and my husband are expecting a little boy on December 7th 2008!
I have been pregnant on both sides of the pond. Hubby is from California but we are back in England so that I can have our baby with my family and home comforts around me.
We are both *very* excited about starting a family. My husband is amazing and he is going to be a great daddy.

i believe there back begining of september at this point lol. Yeah that would be cool. Im sure same would love to see eloise. shes loves babies lol.

The weather was good this avo. I was at cromer carnival had eloise in bonnie baby comp. it was a bit of a fix, everyone happened to be from cromer and knew the judges. My mum won 3rd in glamourous granny though lol That made me giggle.

I know it does seem silly to buy lots of shoes when they can't walk in them and when they grow so fast..lol. I just want to get maybe like 2 more pairs though since I technically only have one. I don't want a huge shoe collection until I know what my baby is and when there needed.

My nan's bday party was crazy. Had fun seeing all my cousins and aunts and everybody though. Got tons of pictures and a lot of ppl commented on my belly and what they thought I was going to have. Most said boy there but a couple said girl. Everybody says boy because of the way that I'm carrying..all out front and not on the sides. I will see if that is actually correct for me once I have the baby but right now I think all that out front/boy and on your sides/girl thing is hogwash..lol.
My nanny seemed to have a great time though so that was very nice to see.
Yes, if I do have a girl I am naming her after my nanny. It will defo be Helene for the first name...still unsure about the middle name. Boys name is Camdon Noah for sure and my bf loves the name Ty too so we may throw that in there as well...lol.
I like the name your hubby picked. The story about it is funny too..I probably would have forgot all about in the morning.

No prob on the water thing. But it very important to drink at least 8 glasses of fluids a day. The baby needs that water too. If you don't drink enough than their amniotic fluids may lower too. I always make sure I have water in my hand all the time during the day..I love water though!
Plus, if you have any swelling drinking water helps flush it out of your system quicker too.

I do get bored sometimes during the day when I'm home. Matthew usually doesn't get home from work until late so it is a long day. But, I'm always pretty busy with housework cuz he is a slob..lol. This site helps heaps too cuz I just come on here or on youtube if I'm bored outta my mind.
If I was you I would just ask to be put on part time hours at your work. Like work maybe 20 hours a week or something that way you won't be exhausted and baby can get rests in between too...and you will still have money coming in cuz that for sure helps!!

I have not had any time to watch the Olympics. We have been on the go for the last 2 weeks I think. Family get togethers and funerals have really tired me out. The next thing will be my baby shower but that won't be for another couple weeks..I think..lol.

Good luck at your appointment!!!
Are you guys going to move before you have the baby or after?

And no...I have not decided on any theme for the babies room because we are not staying here for the long haul. We are going to move after baby gets here if we can find something decent at that time. So, right now I'm just concentrating on getting the crib put up...which will be today I think and trying to make the room look as ready as possible.

ok, well I hope you have a awesome weekend too and remember to take it easy!!

CanadianNat - Friday, 15 August
yeah, apparently they do need shoes..lol
I see on the nursery pages on here of some ppl's nursery's where the babies have tons of shoes..I seriously have only one actual pair of shoes..like you. But, I have a couple pairs of the slipper type ones.

Sorry to hear that you have had cramping. Are you drinking enough water and fluids? I drink tons of water and one day I just forgot to drink hardly any and i started to get these stitching pains start in my stomach that ended up moving all over my belly and my sides and it was hard to breathe...it turned out I was getting dehydrated and that's why I was feeling like that. They say to drink a couple big glasses of water when this happens and lay down on your left side cuz your body has better circulation when you lay on that side..it helped me anyways.
Are you going to the doctor today to make sure everything is ok? I hope you will just to ease your mind and make sure that your not actually having contractions.
Yeah, I think that you should take it easy if your feeling like this. Just put your feet up this weekend and watch some movies. Get your hubby to make you all your meals so you can just relax...you and baby probably need it.

I'm still doing fine. Getting charlie horses in my calf for the last 2 days though and it's so annoying. Organized all the stuff that I got for the baby last night so I feel better about that. I'm going to go to my nan's 80th bday party this weekend so I will be having lots of good food..lol

I figured out that the pram was the stroller cuz one of my other friends let me in on it..lol
Thank you for letting me know though...

I hope you feel better and everything will be great with you and baby!

CanadianNat - Friday, 15 August
Oh wow!! I really like that stroller and the reviews on it sound great too!
Thanks for looking at my baby stuff so far. I'm so relieved now that I have my stroller and car seat, crib and change table. Now all I have to wait on is my glider and ottoman to come in and get that bed out of the babies room so we can actually put the crib and change table up! So much to do still...ahhhh!! lol
I seriously have got to go out and get this baby some shoes to wear..the poor thing only has a couple pairs of slippers..lol
The weekend is almost here..hehe..don't worry!!!
How you feeling right now anyways?

flickmonkey - Tuesday, 12 August
Hey all,

Hows it going? its a misserable day here in sunny ol norfolk lol. Just a lot of rain. Eloise is asleep shes being a trooper. She had her seconds jabs yesterday and she barely screamed.

oh my thunder and lightning! yay

How is your little one/s doing? i hope all you having little ones are doing great and even the ones who have children or are new to it like me are doing fabulously.
I wish you all the best. take care. Felicity xxx

CanadianNat - Sunday, 10 August
ok..I made a couple of spelling mistakes and wrong words in places in there but I hope you understand what I was trying to say.
The baby has taken my brain and is keeping it hostage right now....lol

CanadianNat - Sunday, 10 August
Hey!
Thanks!! Yes, the 3d was absolutely amazing! You HAVE to get it done you will not be disappointed. Just wait until your further along that way the pics will turn out super.
It's great your baby is doing lovely in there growing like it should. I'll tell you...carting around a 5 pound baby right now is not easy work! I'm getting more and more out of breath all the time and it feels so freaking heavy. My stomach is just stretching farther and farther out ....I have no idea how..but it is..lol ..and I got my lovely stretch marks to prove it..ugh.
Yep, it sounds like he was stretching you with the cramps. I have to watch it when I get up now cuz If I'm lying back and then get up right quick my ligaments will feel like there being town into it hurts so bad..SO, just remember to get up SLOWLY...lol
Yes, the good old looking for the perfect family car for babes...how exciting!! Hope it is perfect for you guys.
I have been getting a bunch of things for the baby lately. I have my crib already at home but not set up yet as I have to wait to get a double bed out of that room for baby. Then, I have my change table coming in on Tuesday and my Glider and ottoman set coming in on the 20th of this month. If you don't know what I'm talking about by glider it's just like a rocking chair only cushioned with pockets on the sides. Here we call the stroller/prams ..stroller and car seats..at least that's what I think you are talking about when you refer to the pram thing....I never really understood too much what you guys were talking about when you said pram either so I just guessed it must be like our car seats..lol
I hope you will put a pic up of the stroller/pram when you get it. You sound so excited it must be pretty nice.

I'm getting pretty anxious about the delivery day now that I'm getting closer. Today I had pains in my va-jay-jay(lol) as Oprah like to call it. I could hardly walk right so I was thinking to myslef I wonder if baby is trying to get engaged in my pelvis?! Dunno...but I know it is gong to hurt!! My only relief from knowing this is that it is not going to last forever and when it is all over I will have my gorgeous baby!!! As will you when it is your time!!
Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well for you my dear!!
take care and keep in touch!

flickmonkey - Friday, 1 August
im in dereham atm lol how come youve come back here to have the little one? are yo going back afterwards? i was dating Adam kempf, not sure if you'll know him as he has been here less than three years i think. Ahhh the outtie, yep i got one pretty early i think its in my pictures. Its funny i loved poking it when my partner was around cos it really freaked him out ( i know im weird ) lol I went to my antenatal classes that the local midwifes do, id say they pretty much tell you the same thing in each class even though there ment to be different, if you goto any, go to the phsyo one its on breathing and it involves your partner too on how to comfort you. and the after care class i would do those two with the phsyo od first. do you know what you having?

upchurchmomma - Thursday, 31 July
Yes, Laney and the baby will be sharing a room. David has two boys that share a room so it worked out well for us to have another girl as far as the room situation goes! I am doing circles and stripes in pink, green, and purple. The walls i am painting 10 inch and 4 inch circles and doing the border in stripes of the same colors. And it is funny you are doing sports too, we just re-did the boys' room in sports..it turned out really well, i may actually post pix of both rooms when i post. Sports is good for any age, baby thru teens, his oldest is 13 and it is totally appropriate for him still. Anyway, gonna go do some more laundry b4 turning in for the night, good to talk to you, drop me a line!!!

flickmonkey - Wednesday, 30 July
