So far 24 weeks have gone by pretty quickly. I know I am having a girl... and her name is Riley Elizabeth Stephens! I really did want a girl so this is so wonderful! Today I went to the doctors and everything was looking good. I have high blood pressure, but I take meds and it seems like its in check for now. I asked the doctor about my concern about taking a test for nursing 5 days after my due date... in order to get into nursing school in the fall, and he said that they will work around my date... and because of my HBP they think the baby will need to come early anyway... so I feel good about being able to take the test. I know it seems rather petty and babies come when they come... but I will not be able to enter nursing school for an entire year after if I don't take this test.... and pass of course. All my ducks have been lined up and this is the last remaining item I have to complete. Anyway, I am so excited about Riley... and I can't wait for her to be here. Its about 15 weeks away!!!! I haven't gotten the nursery set up yet... but after the holidays we will be working full steam ahead on it.

I am so irritated... My foster daughter (just turned 18)just found out she is pregnant... and she was pretty much trying since I was trying to TTC myself. Her boyfriend is a drug dealer. She is moving out this week, after 2 yrs and I think I will be 100% less stressed when this happens. This is the kind of stuff I have been dealing with day in and day out since I got pregnant. Her damn pregnancy scares, her behavior on top of it, her choice of boyfriends, and drug use, and finally her actually getting pregnant. I have had all I can take. She needs to leave ASAP! Sorry to unload.. but I feel like she is cheapening my special time... the one I worked very hard to achieve since we had to have a vasectomy reversal in order to even try to have a baby. I am so irritated. Thanks for listening. {{{HUG}}}

Today marks 60 days until my due date... and I am probably getting induced a week early so its even 7 days less. I am not sure how that works... since 60 days is two months, which is about 8 weeks all together, but yet it says 10 weeks to go??? I am confused??? Oh well... Very scary that she is coming so soon if you ask me!!! I am getting very excited!! Today we started painting Riley Elizabeth `s room... two walls are light pink, two walls are light yellow. Its going to be so pretty when its finished! So many things to do before she comes... and it will keep me busy. I am hoping to go in for an ultrasound soon, which I hope will be the 4D. Right now, I have a cold that is a bummer... and I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes 11 days ago and that has changed the way I live every day a lot. But its all very worth it. I have actually lost about 6 lbs so far... hope not too many more. I want bread and dessert mostly but it will be weeks until I can indulge:( My blood pressure has been creeping up... but I am watching it. We start our birthing classes this week too!!!! Its all moving so very quickly. Good luck everyone!!!

Wow where did the time go... I am 9 months pregnant now... and have 26 days to go!!!! Everything is going pretty well. My gestational diabetes has been managed well and my high blood pressure seems to also be in check! I have gained exactly 20lbs... which I had a little extra to begin with so this is excellent for me. I have been doing exactly what the doctor has been telling me to do and they are happy with everything I am especially proud because I went into this with some serious issues that could have been really bad, but its turned out well. I am starting to be ready for this to be all done though... although I am not sure I am ready to bring my little girl home since I know nothing about birth and babies :O LOL But one thing is for sure... she will be here soon enough, and I will be the best I can be to her. She has been active in my stomach these past few weeks. She is definitely head down, feet kicking my guts... she is really low too, which makes me really sore after walking too much. Small projects are overwhelming now. Grocery shopping has been difficult to say the least. I am so tired all the time. Where is that burst of energy? I could really use it right about now. I keep looking at all the things I want to clean before she comes, but I haven `t got the energy to do it. Its all happening so fast. Its also pretty exciting because in my family we have my two sister-in-laws who are also pregnant.. and we are all about 3 months apart. So far, we will have two girls... and I am dying to know what my SIL who is 10 weeks pregnant will be having!!!! SO many babies in 2008!!! Its funny because we all got married relatively at the same time too! Anyway, hope your all having great pregnancies and I will probably post next my birth story :) Good luck to you all!!!

Hi There! I have three crib sheets so I am probably OK for now plus I have two bassinet sheets for when she first comes home. We could always use diapers :)preferably size 1 or size 1-2 since I am thinking that she'll grow out of the newborn pack I bought pretty quickly just like Matthew (and Riley) did! I had luck last night. My friend and I were able to find a dress at the store that doesn't make me look like a complete house! It's not great but it will do and now I just need to try to get myself in for a pedicure and an eyebrow wax on Sat morning. It was a nice night out with my friend...very relaxing. Have you started packing for the weekend yet? Man - there is so much to bring when you travel with a little one! It's like packing up your whole house. LOL! Looking forward to seeing you guys...:)

Lets not rush the 39 week thing. I have too much to do before then. I will post more pics soon. I wanted you to be able to see me sooner rather than later. I have a significant bump now. I hope the drive is good and she will sleep for you. I can not wait to see you an her. I hope the little cold that I have goes away before then. I am not quite sure if it is a cold or allergies. Hey There. Just letting you know what went on at my appt. The U/S went well. The tech said the fluid measured fine. The Dr will review the measurements today/tomorrow and let me know. Hopefully they won't need to induce. I am 1cm dialated but no signs of the cervix thinning out yet. Let's keep it that way for at least another 2 weeks! TTYL!

I am felling great. I have been feeling him move so much. He has got me a few times that have brought tears to my eyes. I have posted a couple of pics for you to look at. They are of my ever growing belly. They are all right. How is little miss Riley doing. She must be so big. I can not wait to see you guys on Saturday it seems like we have not seen each other in months. I bought a dress but when I look at it on I do not like it. Everyone seems to think that it is fine though. I just do not feel like buying another one for this occasion. I will deal with the one that I have. LMAO I have to run I will TTYL. Hope all is well.

You will be just fine traveling with Riley. Just make sure that you leave yourself plenty of time to get down here so you can stop and feed her along the way if you need to. :) Plus Hunter will be with you for some of the drive to help you out.
I will gladly take the newborn clothing...it's less that I have to buy! Are you planning on coming down for Christina's shower this summer? If so we could do some photos then. What size is Riley in now...0-3 or 3 months?
We will be around all weekend so swing by whenever on Sunday. Matthew would love to show you his room too! He gets so excited to show it off and then he brings people down to see his sister's room...it's so cute. He points out the stencils on the walls and everything! LOL! TTYL

No final decision yet. We were planning to discuss it on the way to the shower yesterday in Vermont but it didn't happen (I did however get to catch up on my magazine reading). I have finished washing all her clothes and the nursery is complete. I just need to pack my hospital bag and I am good to go. I'd like to make it pastt June 3rd because it is a relly busy time at work right now but after that I am ready. YAY!

I saw the pics that you posted online...I can't believe how big she is getting! I had a few of those mini contractions yesterday. I was walking out the door in front of Charlie on the way to the dr and I had to stop short because I had one and the pain took my breath away. He bumped into me and spilled some coffee on his jacket. He complained about me stopping short and I simply replied that he shouldn't walk behind me if he was going to tailgate me! LOL! I'd better make it to the wedding! She did the first internal yesterday and I'm not dilated but she is head down. The cervix is starting to thin out. She gave me the green light to go to the shower this weekend as long as I am feeling good tomorrow morning. It's a long drive but I'd like to see my friend because after the baby comes it will be awhile before we get together (she lives in Albany, NY).
Is the Lansinoh creme heling you at all? I just picked some up the other day in my "getting ready" shopping trip. It's all coming back to me now...LOL! Can't wait to see you guys...

I am so happy that you are feeling good. I can not believe that she is smiling and giggling already. WOW. It seems like yesterday that she was just born. Luca has been kicking so much lately. Trust me I will not be doing that again. It is a horrible feeling. I did not mean to not eat I just was rushing around. I have done really good. I never ate breakfast before I became pregnant this time and I have every day since I found out. He does come before me and I was an idiot for forgetting to do something for him before myself. I always have candy or something in my purse or my car etc. I used to have these all the time while I was pregnant with Taylor. Luca is sucking everything out of me. But, if that is the only downfall then so be it. LOL. I am borderline Anemic and it sux.

How is baby Riley doing? Is it normal for you not to be healed all the way by now? I am feeling good today and I have eaten alot today so that he will be happy. I hope all is well. TTYL

That's great you had a good weekend with your Mom. It's nice to have an extra set of hands to help out! I am sure that your Mom's house will be pretty busy the weekend of the wedding becuase I bet Carol and Patty will want to stop in to meet Riley!

I am surprised at how fast the time has flown by. Only 28 days left...how could that be? Her movements are stronger but more concentrated in area. Some are quite painful...I actually had a few times yesterday that I was thinking wow...are these her or contractions??? I can't do that for 4 more weeks...ouch!

I was hoping that the card would reach you int time! I had a great weekend. I had lunch yesterday with my aunt and today we spent the morning at the park with Matthew and then had some lunch out. Matthew and Charlie got me a half day at a spa for Mother's Day. It includes a facial, a 60 min swedish massage, a manicure, a pedicure, and a hair treatment. I am planning on using it after the baby comes (probably right before the Kenny Chesney concert). It's called the "Return to You" package and I am so excited to go!!! We had a low key cookout for dinner and spent the afternoon puttering around the house. Charlie cleaned out the truck and put the base for the infant seat in the car. We had to move Matthew over to the side now to give him a chance to get used to not being in the middle anymore. Poor thing...so many changes in his life but he's taking everything in stride...for now. We'll see how he is once she comes! Looking forward to seeing you on the 24th...hopefully I'll still feel good enough to do a little dancing at the wedding!

Hey. I am going to buy a dress at the last minute because I am getting bigger by the day. I had the worst thing happen to me today. I did not eat breakfast this morning because I was rushing around trying to get things together for Taylor to help his dad today and then I wrote my list. I get to the grocery store and I went to the deli to get some lunch meat for Mike and I started to black out and I had the cold sweats and everything. I know that it was that my blood sugar went too low. The lady at the deli asked me if I was all right because I was as white as a ghost. By that point I could mot see at all. I could only see black. Weird. I told her that I was fine and finished ordering. Then finally after what seemed like forever I came back to and I could see. Then I left the deli still feeling woozy and called Mike right away. I had a piece of candy in my purse but I still wanted him there. Usually I can have that kind of episode and be all right but this one scared the hell out of me. I went home and ate something and I was fine. It was just scary thats all. I just have to have the doc now test me for Anemia again. The last time (when I was pregnant with Tay) it was a mixture of borderline Anemia and low blood sugar but it was nothing serious to worry about. I was hoping that I would not have the issue this time but I guess I was wrong. If that is the worst thing then so be it. At least I did not fall in the grocery store and really pass out because I would be so embarrassed. LOL. I hope you had a good mothers day. I will TTYL.

I am always so busy with Taylor, work and the house. I am not complaining but, it is very tiring. How is the munchkin? I can not wait to see you guys. Is Jay and Hunter coming with you? I have to ogo and buy a dress and some shoes for the wedding. I have to check at the motherhood maternity outlet in Wrentham. I will be going with my girlfriend. I feel better today I am not as tired as I was last time I wrote to you. Little baby luca has had the hiccups alot in the past few days. He has also been moving a lot. I can not wait to hold him for the first time.

On another note I can not wait for the next princess to arrive either. It will be funny to see if all the 2008 Garbarino/Stephens babies look alike. It would be kind of funny. Well hon I have to run. I have to get back to work. I will TTYL. Hope all is well.

I feel as big as a house today. We went out for dinner tonight and I really ate too much! I keep forgetting that I don't have as much room as I used to. On a different note Matthew managed to sleep in his new room last night (thanks to Charlie falling asleep with him again) and tonight (I sat at the edge of his bed until he fell asleep). This is kind of a bummer that he can't seem to fall asleep on his own yet. I am hoping that after a week or so he will be more confrotable and be able to do this on his own but I don't want to take the easy way out and just sleep him in the crib either...argh! Either way we are probably making a mistake...which is the lesser of 2 evils??? I would rather that he gets used to his room BEFORE she comes so that he doesn't associate the move with his sister. How's Riley and the rest of the fam? SHe must be growing so much every day...has she given you a smile yet? That's the best!

Doesn't the time absolutely fly by? It's nuts...you just start to get comfortable and settled into a routine and then you have to go back to work (not that I would be a very good SAHM)! Matthew slept in his new room in his big boy bed all night last night...no issues...let's hope this continues. He has 6-weeks until she comes so he should be nicely settled into his new routine by then (I hope). Hopefully you guys will have afew minutes to stop by in May when you are down for the wedding to check out the room (he is so proud of it). I haven't chosen a crob set for her room yet. My Mom wanted to buy that for us but I haven't seen anything that I LOVE yet so I am holding off. She'll sleep in the bassinet in our room for the first couple of weeks so I can always go out after she is born to pick something out. We are leaving the walls yellow so I wanted something with yellow/pink/purple in it but I haven't seen too much. I loved the pictures that you sent out and that you posted on your page. I'll have tp pick out a special little frame for it! :)

Woo Hoo I find out tomorrow. I have a list from work and out of 15 people only 4 think it is a girl. I am not sure but I have a feeling that it is a boy. I will find out. Ohmigosh! I can't beleive how cute she is...she's getting so big too! We never did professional pictures of Matthew at that age (I wish we did). We finished Matthew's room this weekend. Charlie is just upstaris now putting the bed frame together and I am washing his new "Cars" sheets. We'll let him decide if he wants to sleep there tonight...hmmm...this could be interesting. I want him to have as much time as possible to get used to the transition before she comes...and she will probably stay in the bassinet in our room for at least the first month. We can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks...:) How's maternity leave going?

Once we get Matthew settled this weekend I can really work on her room a little at a time. I hope to have it all set by the 10th of May so that I can enjoy Mother's Day and the showere and the wedding after that! And I really don't want to be doing anything after the 24th except for packing my bag for the hospital. I bought another 4oz bottle and 2 more silicone nipples for the Playtex nursers that you gave me so I should be all set there. I really feel like it's all coming together. She seems to be moving so much now...I forgot how forecful it could be...sitting on the couch last night I winced in pain a few times as she got me with a good swift kick! I can't believe how fast Riley is growing...by the time we see her again in a few weeks she will probably be so much bigger! We have talked about 2 names that we like but there is no consensus at this point...and the discussion continues!
