So far 24 weeks have gone by pretty quickly. I know I am having a girl... and her name is Riley Elizabeth Stephens! I really did want a girl so this is so wonderful! Today I went to the doctors and everything was looking good. I have high blood pressure, but I take meds and it seems like its in check for now. I asked the doctor about my concern about taking a test for nursing 5 days after my due date... in order to get into nursing school in the fall, and he said that they will work around my date... and because of my HBP they think the baby will need to come early anyway... so I feel good about being able to take the test. I know it seems rather petty and babies come when they come... but I will not be able to enter nursing school for an entire year after if I don't take this test.... and pass of course. All my ducks have been lined up and this is the last remaining item I have to complete. Anyway, I am so excited about Riley... and I can't wait for her to be here. Its about 15 weeks away!!!! I haven't gotten the nursery set up yet... but after the holidays we will be working full steam ahead on it.

I am so irritated... My foster daughter (just turned 18)just found out she is pregnant... and she was pretty much trying since I was trying to TTC myself. Her boyfriend is a drug dealer. She is moving out this week, after 2 yrs and I think I will be 100% less stressed when this happens. This is the kind of stuff I have been dealing with day in and day out since I got pregnant. Her damn pregnancy scares, her behavior on top of it, her choice of boyfriends, and drug use, and finally her actually getting pregnant. I have had all I can take. She needs to leave ASAP! Sorry to unload.. but I feel like she is cheapening my special time... the one I worked very hard to achieve since we had to have a vasectomy reversal in order to even try to have a baby. I am so irritated. Thanks for listening. {{{HUG}}}

Today marks 60 days until my due date... and I am probably getting induced a week early so its even 7 days less. I am not sure how that works... since 60 days is two months, which is about 8 weeks all together, but yet it says 10 weeks to go??? I am confused??? Oh well... Very scary that she is coming so soon if you ask me!!! I am getting very excited!! Today we started painting Riley Elizabeth `s room... two walls are light pink, two walls are light yellow. Its going to be so pretty when its finished! So many things to do before she comes... and it will keep me busy. I am hoping to go in for an ultrasound soon, which I hope will be the 4D. Right now, I have a cold that is a bummer... and I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes 11 days ago and that has changed the way I live every day a lot. But its all very worth it. I have actually lost about 6 lbs so far... hope not too many more. I want bread and dessert mostly but it will be weeks until I can indulge:( My blood pressure has been creeping up... but I am watching it. We start our birthing classes this week too!!!! Its all moving so very quickly. Good luck everyone!!!

Wow where did the time go... I am 9 months pregnant now... and have 26 days to go!!!! Everything is going pretty well. My gestational diabetes has been managed well and my high blood pressure seems to also be in check! I have gained exactly 20lbs... which I had a little extra to begin with so this is excellent for me. I have been doing exactly what the doctor has been telling me to do and they are happy with everything I am especially proud because I went into this with some serious issues that could have been really bad, but its turned out well. I am starting to be ready for this to be all done though... although I am not sure I am ready to bring my little girl home since I know nothing about birth and babies :O LOL But one thing is for sure... she will be here soon enough, and I will be the best I can be to her. She has been active in my stomach these past few weeks. She is definitely head down, feet kicking my guts... she is really low too, which makes me really sore after walking too much. Small projects are overwhelming now. Grocery shopping has been difficult to say the least. I am so tired all the time. Where is that burst of energy? I could really use it right about now. I keep looking at all the things I want to clean before she comes, but I haven `t got the energy to do it. Its all happening so fast. Its also pretty exciting because in my family we have my two sister-in-laws who are also pregnant.. and we are all about 3 months apart. So far, we will have two girls... and I am dying to know what my SIL who is 10 weeks pregnant will be having!!!! SO many babies in 2008!!! Its funny because we all got married relatively at the same time too! Anyway, hope your all having great pregnancies and I will probably post next my birth story :) Good luck to you all!!!
