Thursday, 5 June Hey There fellow Mom to be. Im not a doc or anything but from everything I have read and researched, I would not worry a bit about the drinks you had before you knew. In some books, they actually say a mixed drink once in a while during pregnancy is not going to hurt a thing, even my doctor said that and some people even suggest a glass of wine once in a while, even though I would not feel comforable doing either. Befire I knew I was pregnant, and because of the fact that this was not a planned thing, in fact I found out I was pregnant when I went to get my depo shot that I was only a month behind on, but before I knew, I drank several drinks a couple different nights. I was pretty loopy twice in my first dew weeks before I knew. I am now at almost 19 weeks and everything looks great and I told my doctor about it and he said not to even give it a second thought or worry. But of course you don't want to drink anymore but don't stress out, everything is fine! lisatek82 -
Thursday, 5 June Hi Alicia... I just wanted to let you know not to worry. They say that it isn't bad if you drink b4 the first couple months bc it doesn't cross through. I drank heavily a few night while prego b4 I knew and I have had two beautiful children. I just have complicated pregnancies. Don't worry though and everything will be alright. mummatobe -
Tuesday, 3 June Hi there. Don't worry about having had a few drinks. I didn't find out I was pregnant until after 6 weeks. It was just after Christmas and New Year and I had drunk a lot at family parties. My midwife told me not to worry and that even through your pregnancy it is ok to have the occasional glass of wine. Just think, in some countries, women are not even tole to stop drinking - their babies turn out fine :o) vikki -
Tuesday, 3 June Abby, I saw your post on wk5, Let me tell you that you probably have NOTHING to worry about. I understand your fear ( more than you can know, you can read my story if you like, it explains all) If you don't drink any more then you should be JUST fine! Please feel free to stop in and chat or ask questions or just to vent. Breath, and congratulations. preggers87 -
Tuesday, 3 June Hey-
I think I remember you from last time. My daughter is 13 months old. Anyway I think I remember you having Abbi right before I had Sophie. I never opened an account until this time when I found I was pregnant. Just thought it was neat we seem to be making babies at the same time. LOL. I would not worry about the whol alcohol thing. Just as long as you are done now. There are people who do plenty worse. They will check your levels and all, but I think at this point it does not matter and who knows exactly how far along you are. Don't stress it I am sure everything is fine. Hope everything goes well at the doctor. I go tomorrow to get my levels checked again, but I am moving on to week 6 now! StephCross -
Tuesday, 3 June Hey girl. Allthough it's not "ideal" to drink during PG, I don't think that you should be beating yourself up over it. I know several people who got completely trashed weekends in a row before they found out they were PG, and their babies came out perfectly healthy. Also, I have a friend whose dr told her that an occasional glass of wine during PG is fine. I personally won't do this myself, but she did and gave birth in March to a beautiful and healthy little girl. My advice would be to not worry about it and focus on all of the joy of this baby until the day you see the dr. It would be worse if you kept yourself stressing until then. Hope I have eased your mind a little and CONGRATS on your baby!!!
