I was diagnosed with PCOS last year and was told that getting pregnant was going to be very difficult so I feel extraordinarily grateful and thrilled to be here! We've been through the ringer this past year with surgeries, Clomid, Metformin and lots of acupuncture. I still can't believe I have this teeny bean inside relying on me for everything:) I love her sooo much its crazy.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much for the comments. I love the pictures, but you know what's funny. I was all bruised from pushing. I had purple bruises under my eyes and broke blood vessels all over my face. Even my feet were bruised and Russell said that I was bleeding out of my mouth from pushing so intensely. I couldn't believe the pictures turned out the way they did!

I went and looked for those diapers. My Target doesn't have them. Do they sell them at diapers.com? I have a coupon for that place and want to try it out.

oh geez, sorry you got picked up! You are very beautiful, and honestly, yours are very sexy preggie pics...but not at all in bad taste, just sexy and beautiful.

A hypno coach or doula sounds like a good idea.

Russell's going to have a hard ime going back to work, too! He's so in love with Rose.

The Red House is in Pacific Grove, between Carmel and Monterey. Carmel has tons of lovely food I'm sure.

I've had a half glass of wine and a piece of chocolate cake, but I've been pretty good still. I'm sort of sticking to the GD diet because it's healthy.

I don't know about vaccines. I'm going to meet my pediatrician this week.

I hope you have a lovely trip. Sappy as it may sound, I'll miss you when you're gone!

I didn't take the picture of her sucking her thumb. It happened so fast. I've taken a ridiculous amount of pictures, though. She's one week old today!

Russell's off work all week, yipee. Then I have four solo days until my mom comes here. I think I'm going to have my MIL come over to keep me company and give me naps.

Rose just started making cute noises yesterday. Also, she's so soothed by my voice. If she's fussy at all, I just have to talk to her. It's amazing. You'll see.

I really have faith that you can do it naturally. I think you've been practicing and have lots of tools. I really think I might've done better if I hadn't had lost sleep and contractions for days before labor really hit. Exhaustion got in my way for sure. I have more faith in you than I had in me...LOL.

I think it's always cool on the coast, especially in Carmel! I hope that you and Charie have the best time together, loving each other.

Sorry it takes me so long to reply these days. We had guests for lunch and then Rose and I passed out for 3 hours. It's great because she's only eating every three hours today! She was eating every hour until yesterday when it went down to two. Breastfeeding is an intense job at first, but it is so worth it. I won't lie. It is painful, but the worst day was when my milk came in.

Oh, I don't know what your feelings are about pacis. I learned in my breastfeeding class that I should hold off until 1 month on it. I told the hospital not to give her one, but when she came back from some testing one day, she had it. The hospital told me that she loves to such and some babies just like so suck all of the time. They also told me that the American Society of Pediatrics recommends the paci as it decreases chances of SIDS. Since Rose has such a good latch, I use the paci often. I love it.

I know that 3cm is supposed to be in the first stage of labor, but it was incredibly painful for me. Every person has a different experience with labor. Perhaps I am a wimp, I don't know. I do know that I couldn't walk, talk, or even visualize near the end of the 12 hours where I went from 2 to 3. I talked to my girlfriend recently and she said that she only had 4 hours of feeling ANYTHING. She felt a twinge, and 4 hours and 3 pushes later she had a little girl. She only had a few minutes of the kind of pain I describe. What's funny is that my friend has the skinniest butt you've ever seen! She's a size 4 with no hips and had a nearly 10 pound baby. I have "birthin hips" and couldn't get out a teeny bean!

Rose is doing the cutest thing right now! She's found her thumb and is sucking it. I know that's silly, but when you meet Lucia, you will also love every coo, every little thing she does. It's ridiculous!
