Here I am expecting my second "miracle" child.

My husband and I couldn't wait to have children and began trying immediately after our marriage 7 years ago. After a year of unsuccessful "tries", I began seeking medical help for infertility. The doctors told me there was nothing wrong with me and that I should have no problems conceiving. I had done a dozen artificial inseminations and 4 IVF cycles, including fresh and frozen eggs. I also miscarried 5 times. In the meanwhile, I was battling depression since many of my friends and family, all younger than me, were having children. After gaining 38 pounds from injectable medications, my husband and I decided to stop trying and give myself a break, looking into other options. At that time I heard of a doctor in California that treated patients by solely detecting DNA patterns. I figured lets give it a try since there was no medical reason why I was unable to conceive.

Dr. Beer analyzed my immune system and found that my body was "attacking" my husbands sperm, preventing me from carrying to term. I had my husbands blood cells injected, similar to an immunization shot, in June of 2005 and my son was conceived one month later. He was my first miracle~born on March 28, 2006.

Unsure if I would ever conceive again, after so many years of failed attempts and the uncertainty that the procedure would last, I settled on enjoying every moment with my son. Of course I wanted more children, but wasn't going to put myself through the roller coaster of emotions.

The first day of starting my new job, I had to call out sick as I was throwing up all morning and felt as if a Mack truck had hit me. I ran to get some pregnancy tests, and finally convinced myself after 4 positive outcomes, that I was indeed pregnant again!

The c-section is scheduled for July 1st and are excited as can be! We will not be finding out the gender (we didn't find out the gender of our son) because we feel so blessed to be pregnant after all we had overcome!

Oh wow, I'm glad I could help- I didn't know if it would be your taste or style- but I'm glad you found something. What one are you interested in?

Mindieswan - Monday, 12 May
Yeah, I think the c-section would be worth it at that point. I love the idea of having the baby natural, but why go through the pain if you don't really need to. I'm hoping I don't have to have one, but if that means my baby being healthy, then so be it.

Good Luck, talk soon.

So you are having a c-section, or that is just your new due date??

I will find out tomorrow, she might move my due date up. The tech seems to think I am a week further then what I thought... we will see

I was just concerned, I had not thought about the possibility of having a big baby and possibly having a c-section... that is my main concern. My belly is big as well.. I have to put some pics up... When is your due date??

Hello i am 31 weeks pregnant also but my 2 other daughters were good size babies 7'10 and 8'9. So im guessing you will just have a good size baby which is a good thing. Small babies like 6 pounds are good too but so small he he

What a beautiful song, I hadn't heard that one before. The video is awesome. Congrats on miracle #2!

Ok, now the uterus rupturing makes sense to me. I have heard that if you've had a previous c-section, most doctors and hospitals require you to have another one if you get pregnant again because you can rupture your uterus from your old cut/scar. 16lbs in 2 weeks? You poor thing and I don't blame you for just wanting the baby out...ha ha. You probably smiled when he told you that you would be early.

My fibroid is on my upper right side growing up towards my lung. Unfortunately, mine keeps growing =( As of 4 weeks ago, it was measuring at 10x13 cm. The fibroid decided to grow when I got pregnant. I had just had my yearly appt 3 mos before and they didn't feel any fibroids. They said it was probably the size of gravel before I got pregnant. I see my hi-risk doctor this Friday and we'll see how big my 'other child' (aka fibroid) is getting. But I do get an u/s every Wednesday (I know I'm spoiled) but they are checking baby, the placenta and the cord.....makes me feel better. The fibroid is definately not in her way. A few weeks ago, they zoomed in on her and she was kicking the fibroid....so if anything, it's giving her plenty of excercise =). It still hasn't bothered me, so I'm crossing my fingers that I stay lucky.

It's so nice to talk to someone who has fibroids too....I know it's common, but noone I've talked to seems to have them.

Thanks for the message on breastfeeding :) i wanted to get some opinions from any women who have already gone so thanks a bunch! My DH said he would go with me if I asked him to go but he would rather not...:) The only reason I'd want him to go is to see how difficult it can be for new moms but I think I'll be able to explain that part to him. Thanks again!!

Hi! Yeah, I got lucky with the location of the fibroid. It's at the top and isn't blocking the 'way out'. The hi-risk doctor and my regular ob tell me that I couldn't ask for a better location of it. I'm scared of natural child birth and would love to have a c-section....but this is my first so I don't have anything to compare it to. As long as she's healthy, I'll go either way my body wants =)

Is your fibroid pretty large? Does it cause you any discomfort yet? Mine hasn't bothered me yet thankfully.

thanks for your message, feeling much better about her weight now (how weird is it that our babies are the exact same weight? lol) - I had my OB appointment yesterday and she reassured me that our baby girl is not big for her 'age' at all. And I looked at my 'What To Expect When You're Expecting Book' and it says the baby should weigh 2lbs during the 6th month. So that made me feel alot better too!
