My name is Amber. I am in a relationship with my partner in life- Bob. We have a 5 month old son named Logan, who we adore more than anything! I am currently pregnant with our second child. This will make 3 kids for Bob. He has a 3 year old daughter from a past relationship. We live in a small 3 bedroom house and it just works for us. We live in North Dakota so its frigid for the majority of the year. I cant wait for all this snow to melt so I can take my little man for his first real walks. :)I am currently working on writing a book, and being a stay at home mom. Bob is busy at work, for the oil field. His family lifes in Missouri, and My family live 2 hours away. Its hard living in a town with no family. Babysitters will be needed. Logan and this baby will be 14 months apart. That is good, we want them to be close. We are not going to find out what sex this baby is, even though its going to be hard for me not to know. We are looking forward to expanding our family and we cant wait to meet our little bean! So that is us in a nutshell.

The relationship
When did you first meet?: We first met on Jan 7th 2007

The pregnancy
When did you suspect the pregnancy?: Middle of December
When was it confirmed?: Yes. I took a preggo test without even telling him I was. I got a plus sign and just about fell off the toilet!
What was your first signs?: I kept getting nausous. Even bought nausea pills. Then I was tired alot and I thought. hey.... maybe
Who was told first?: Bob. I walked out of the bathroom and told him
What were his thoughts?: "well thats weird"
What were your thoughts?: OMG things just got ALOT more complicated, how am I gonna tell my parents?
When did you start to show?: around 16 weeks I could tell I had a bump, but other people really noticed at around 20 weeks
When was your first prenatal appointment?: December something
Did you go to a ob/gyn,family physician,midwife?: I went to a family physician the first few apts
When was your first ultrasound?: March 8th because of the car accident
When did you find out what the baby was?: May
What did you want him/her to be?: I knew it was a boy. Call it a mothers instinct
What was the sex of the baby?: Boy
Were there any complications?: No. Just the car accident scare
How many ultrasounds did you have?: total, we had 3
Who was there at the first ultrasound?: Bob and his mom
What about the gender seeking ultrasound?: Bob, My mom, and brother Adam
The dream birth
Did you want a home birth,water birth,or in a hospital?: Wanted a water birth, but they dont offer that here
Did you want it natural or medicated?: wanted natural, but after 40 hrs of labor, I changed my mind
What medications were taken during birth?: 2 different type of shots. One made me VERY tired, the other took the edge off the contractions. Then I got an epidural
Did you want to see it?: No, but I wanted to feel his head with my hand. And I did
Who did you want to be in the room?: My mom and Bob

The actual birth
Were you scared going in?: No, I was more than ready. I got scared at the breaking of my water, and when I souldn't dialate past a 4
Where did it all start?: At home. Then we went waking at the park, then we went in and they sent me home so we went to the grocery store for milk, then bed. The next day we went to the hosp again and they kept me.
How far along were you?: 40 weeks 2 days
Did your water break on it's own?: No. They broke it. I was stuck at 4cm
Were you induced?: No
How many centimeters were you when you arrived at the hospital?: 3, but they wont keep me until I was 4cm
How far apart were the contractions?: at first they were around 5 minutes apart
Did you recieve any medications?: Epidural, and a couple different shots of painkillers before the epi
Did you watch?: No, but I felt his head as he was crowning with the first push!
Who was in the room?: My mom and Bob and random nurses
Who cut the cord?: Bob did
Was it like you thought it'd be?: No. I thought pushing would hurt, but I couldnt feel a thing
Did you wish things had happened differently?: No. I enjoyed the whole experience

Well ladies, seems like a miscarriage to me. After lots of cramping I passed something that was about as big as a toonie and I am pretty sure it was the sac/yolk/embryo. Needless to say I am devastated. :'(

THINGS NO ONE TELLS YOU ABOUT.....was there anything you experience in your pregnancy or labour, where you were left thinking nobody told me about that??lol mine was when i was in labour, i had no meds and as my baby girls head was born i got 'a big ring of fire' horrible burning pain for about 10 seconds that took the breath away from me, than with my second daughter...also had no med and when her head passed i got no ring of fire that time, apperantly it dosent happen all the time...lol just some info!

so ive copied and pasted all the blogs i want to keep and its 8000 word slltogether...lol...all my babble..ha ha.its lovelt to read over them tho. ive ordered my scrap books one for each of the girls, im gonna put the blogs, keep safes bits and their record book all in the scrap book. looking forward to it, but its gonna be a job and a half..lol.
