My name is Amanda and I am 27 yrs old. I have been married to a wonderful guy for the past three years. We are expecting our first child March 22nd. We are super excited to be first time parents.

So I thinks some of my page was deleted?? Anyway I guess I can update again... So no more upset tummy woohoo!!!! This past two weeks has been wonderful! I guess I just took longer to shake the first trimester symptoms. Tues we go back to the doctor and hopefully will get to find out the sex! I am also now in maternity clothes and you can see my baby belly. That's the biggest changes that have happened this month.

Had my appt today and the ultrasound tech told us even though they don't normally tell the sex until after 19 weeks that she would look and see if she could tell...... its a boy!!!!!!!! We are soooooo excited both of us wanted a boy! I am super excited now to do some shopping!!!!

Starting to feel little flutters!!! It's soooo exciting. The hubby has not yet been around to feel any of the little kicks, but hopefully soon!! I am so excited to be moving into a new phase of baby changes!

Had my 19 week ultrasound yesterday. Took about thirty minutes for the tech to take pictures of all the organs and body parts. The good news is we checked out just fine!!! Very glad to hear he is normal! They also confirmed that he is a he. I am sooo excited to be having a baby boy!

Preggy hormones in full effect today watched We are Marshall and cried through the entire movie. What the heck??? I am soooo emotional right now and that is sooo not like me!

Ok so its been a while since I have added anything.....oops. Well Charlie and I finally picked a name Cayden Luke! We love it and are soo thrilled to be parents in a few months. Everything has started to go by so quickly. I finally have a baby belly that people can tell is a baby and not just me being extra chubby thank goodness!!

1/1/08Finally we are in the year that we will become parents!! I am so excited that I am getting closer to my due date and finally get to hold my son. How strange that is to say that I will have a son!!!! 2007 was great tons of great changes in our life that we are thrilled about. Cant wait to live throught 2008...

Well lots has happened since I last updated. I failed my 1hr glucose test and had to go back for the 3hr test which I passed. Normally I would be excited except the doctor is still telling me I need to go on the diet and monitor my sugars daily. I dont really understand why when I passed the 3hr test, but if its for the better than I understand. The only problem is his wife is the doctor he sends his patients to see she is the nutritionist. So if I passed the test why still send me to her?? I have only gained 18lbs and have excellent blood pressure and am measuring perfectly for the week I am each time. Dont really get it???? They also want me to go to a half day seminar on diets/eating when I graduated from college with about 12hrs of nutrition classes. I think I understand the difference in good and bad carbs by now. I just dont feel like they are listeneing to me I feel like I fit in this stereotype because im overweight and thats how they are dealing with me. Oh well just my rant for today...and yesterday and the day before. Actually I have been upset about this ever since it happened two weeks ago. The thing that actually pushed me over the line with them the other day is when after I left the doctors office from passing my 3hr very proud of myself I got a call from the nurse saying `since you failed your glucose test we are sending you to a nutrionist ` I said `but I passed ` to which she said `oh you did.. let me check... your right you did well we want to send you anyway and they are going to put you on a diet and monitor your sugar levels daily ` I say `but I passed ` she said `yes but we want you to go anyway `. Let me tell you I was upset. Still am if you cant tell. She said they would call me with a time. Four days later at my regular appt she told me they were having trouble getting me approved for the nutrionist ( guess my insurance was confused on why they had to pay for something extra also) so I finally get word they got it approved and I would be called by the nutrionist. That was four days ago now and still no call from them. We will see what happens...

Ok here is my update!! No gestational diabites for me woohoo, but my doctor is still treating me like I have it boo!! He says just to be cautious. Whatever gotta roll with the punches. Had my checkup on Monday and everything is normal. Measuring 31 weeks and I was 32 weeks at the appt. Gained a pound which puts me at around 19 total. I am really happy with that!!! After my next appt we go to weekly appts holy crap its time for that!

Wednesday, 20 Feb

Well just got home from three days in the hospital due to low fluid levels. When they first became worried I was around a 9 and then dropped to a 6.7. So they hooked me up to an iv for a few days and loaded me full of fluids. I got up to a 10.2 and they let me go for now. I have an appt on Friday to make sure things are going ok still.
