My names Alyssa, my husbands name is Ryan, and we are expecting our first child. I am very new to the pregnancy experience, and it's wonderful so far, but I am only in the 6th week. My husband is a teacher and I am currently a college student studying Social Work. I consider myself a very lucky person for the people I have in my life!! Well everything is going good so far, no nausea... YET, just some fatigue which I can live through! I `ve been fighting through a cold which is NO fun when your pregnant!! I `m a bit scared of a miscarriage because I `ve had one before although my OB trys to keep me at ease about everything, It `ll be in the back of my head until my 12th week (the end of March I `m counting down!). Our first ultra sound is March 10th, HEARTBEAT!! I `m so excited, I think thats when it will really sink in for my husband and I! Although he is already talking to my belly haha I keep telling him they cant hear you yet... but.. hes very persistent lol... daddys =)Wednesday, 5 Mar
Welll so far so good!! The nausea has kicked in, but every morning same thing oyster crackers & ginger ale it helps!! I am sooo excited for the heart beat!! Kind of weird when I sleep on one side of my body I wake up to it numb?? My OB said its normal, but it doesnt make my like it anymore haha. Other than that everything is going great =)Tuesday, 11 Mar
So our very first ultrasound was today!! Hoe exciting to see the little heartbeat, amazing! My OB says everythings going great, and right along schedule. I `m 8 weeks 3 days and my official due date is October 17th.

So far so good here! :) He keeps mommy on her toes! He moves around LOTS now and likes to kick around even more when mommy is hungry lol. I think that's his way of telling me "Go get some food mom! we're hungry!" lol I hope that now that you're getting out of the first trimester that you'll be feeling better soon!!! I was always SO tired and just wiped out during the first trimester...and for me, morning sickness came in the second trimester....lucky me! lol I hope that you have smooth sailing from here on out with your little one!!!! I'm due a day after you and I still feel cramps. Last couple of weeks it was more a pulling sensation, now it feels like premenstrual cramps. Just went to the doctor today and saw the baby's fine so I think it's normal! :-)

I am getting pains on my right and left side above my pubic bone. I am assuming that they are growing pains, and nothing to worry about. The baby will be going through another growth spurt. I would think that if you weren't having pains that would be unusual.

Hello! Congrats on your pregnancy! I am 9 weeks as well and I am still feeling all of the aches and pains. This is my 2nd and with my 1st I felt them for a LONG time :) It is normal and everybody is different! I take it as a good sign that everything is still stretching and growing in there!

Hey hun, doing okay here, muscles are sore and my hips and lower back are hurting a bit...but I'm sure that's just making room for the littl guy! :) Yeah I have to admit too, with deployments, my hubby was gone for 7 months. You wouldn't think a Navy guy would deploy to Iraq, BUT he's stationed with Marines and he's their 'Doc'. So he would fix them up when they got hurt and all that fun stuff....he's actually delivered 2 babies already lol. He was a Firefighter/EMT back home in Minnesota...he wants to be a Firefighter when he gets out of the Navy and we move back home.....I so can't wait to get back HOME!!!

Isn't it amazing to hear the heartbeat for the first time?!!? I'll never forget it! And the look on my hubby's face when he first heard it was PRICELESS!!! :) Gotta love it! I am so excited for us both! :) Are you going to find out if you're having a boy or girl if the little one will let you see? ;)
