The same thing happened to me when a different midwife measured me, I asked my midwife how I could shrink and she said everyone measures different so she was disregarding the other midwifes measurements. Check your next measurements and who does them, if your original doc does it it should go back to normal and if the new doc does it it will be a bit small again. But don't worry I have been measuring small all the way through.

I'm really sorry about the insurance and the gestational diabetes. I was reading in a magazine about the Maternity Card, I know nothing about it and I cannot vouch for their claims, but it may be worth a try. Their number is 1-800-568-7903 (I'm assuming that you live in the States).
Good luck!

Sorry to hear that you are having all these problems. I had gestational diabetes with my daughter, it wasnt so bad. Just eat smaller meals more often. As for the insurance thing, you can try going through the state if you qualify, if not then the only one I've heard that will take you and cover your current pregnancy is Cinery Health. Your current doctor might even take it so you may not have to switch doctors so late. Good luck.

I'm so sorry to read about your trouble w/ the insurance company and the doc's office. People can be so shallow; it really sickens me. ESPECIALLY with insurance companies in the US..it really pisses me off; it's like they deliberately try to find a way to screw people out of their insurance just so they can make their money. It's a crime. I'm sorry; I take it personally b/c things like that have happened with my family; it gets really old!! Best of luck to you with that xo
In the meantime, take care of yourself! I don't know much about gestational diabetes, but I know you should eat small meals and cut back on carbs and sugary foods. Hope you're feeling better!

I am so sorry you are havng so much trouble! Not that I am a Doctor or anything, but if you were diagnosed with gestational diabetes, then the best thing you can do is eat small, meals or snacks throughout the day, low carbs, more proteins, and cut the sugars way back. I would check it on web md, and will your insurance reinstate you ?

the hospital should offer some kind of medicade or something like that for pregnant, uninsured women. One of my friends didn't have insurance, and they made her an offer to pay so much over a year time.... she paid i think $115 a month for a year... and that was with a c-section.... i believe anyway. Hope everything works out for you... i know its hard.. but try not to stress.... the baby feels it too... best of luck to you sweetie!
