Hi :) I am Alyssa. I live with my boyfriend Leon, and our puppy Fiona. We are pregnant with our first little baby and I am so excited. I want a girl, and he of course, wants a boy. Really, though, It doesn't matter... we are just really excited. We are heavily influenced by art and motivated by creativity (him being a web designer/graphic and myself, photographer) so I have a feeling we have a little artist in the oven... this expirience will be so amazing and I am excited to be able to talk to girls on here, since I have no pregnant friends . Some of the closest people to me are not longer living thier life, and so I will cherish this little one more than anyone will or could ever know. Yay for babies. xo

19 weeks, I finally have a little somethin poking out but not much. People are always like 'you dont look pregnant at all, and im like IM A TINY LADY WITH A TINY BELLY WHAT THE HELL???" LOL

Yeah I also had issues before pregnancy. In fact I used to take meds to help me go, but had to stop with pregnancy. I TRY EVERYTHING also, and nothing works. I will look forward to your feed back from you doc. Hoping that you can report a cure for this horrible curse!

it sucksss i was like 25 lbs lighter then i gained all this weight and got pregnant so i know i wont show bc i got so chubby before! if i was my weight before i might be showing.
makes me sad how some girls get such cute bellies!!

My doctor told me to take Metamucil for the going problem. I take it every day and it's a LIFE SAVER for me, if you know what I mean :)

I just read your entry about wine, I too am a WINE LOVER!!!! I miss my wine, I am 8 weeks preggo and haven't had sip of vino since I found out I was cooking a baby! ha ha!

I actually took a trip to Napa Valley by myself :) That was such a riot!

I am pretty content with not having a glass of wine while I'm pregnant but I might ask for some as soon as the baby is delivered :) ha ha!!!

Are you also suffering with the constipation curse? I have been struggling to go to the bath room also for the last 3-4 days, and it is soooo horrible! I dunno what else to do, I am trying all kind of things- prunes, fiber, and the list goes on. What works for you?

Thanks re our view - it's nicer on a sunny day in real life because the photo makes everything seem further away. We just love it! we are sooo luck our place is big - 2 bed + den over 1200 sq ft. Awesome for a condo in our area. Most of them are about 800 or less.

Isn't it wonderful to feel your baby! Since this is my 3rd I felt him (or her) at 13 weeks. You are doing great. Hoping you enjoy your second u/s! I get one May 7th to find out who is in there.

not sure what your really asking about..." what will they do" with the ultrasound... it looks like you've had one before, so it will be just like the first one you had... did they tell you to drink a liter of water 45 minutes before your appt? cause i was given instructions and that is what it said to do. They may also do a vag. ultrasound if they can't preform the one on the stomach. Hope that answers your question.. if not... maybe be more specific. best of luck!!

hey! I'm a wine lover myself... BIG TIME... so i drank non alch wine. It's not the greatest but you get used to it. no don't drink it's not worth it. But non alch wine and beer kept me feeling part of the crowd.

They didn't mention a biopsy. She said I had inflammation she is not sure why. She used a brush to scrape the inside, and will send it off to the lab. I will get the results on Monday. She didn't seem to worried so hopefully it will be ok.

I think i felt a few movements too.. it's such a great distraction from everything.. waiting for the train, work, supermarket check out :) I finally think i am showing now.. all day not just in the afternoon :) few more days and i think you'll be there too. you sound like me ^^ I tried to quit smoking when we decided to start trying- but it took actually getting preggers to get me to completely stop (ill admit.. i was pissed off at something last week and smoked half a clove ><)
anywho!
i go to the dr tomorrow, and am sooo hoping for the gender! im trying to prepare myself to be a little letdown- and not being able to know for another 4 weeks.. but ima hopin. it's been such a crappy 2 weeks, that i think my husband and i both deserve some happy friggin news

aside from that, i haven't felt the little one yet. i've been so stressed and busy- that i just haven't taken the *time* to lay down and try to feel the lil one. i know s/he's in there though so when I feel it, I feel it

although i SWEAR, about 4 weeks ago I felt the bebe! I know it was probably too early- but i 1) didnt have gas 2) wasnt hungry and 3) just sorta knew :) it felt like a shooting star in my tummy ^^

Read your post about the gender of the baby.. its not that its too early to tell, its just that they dont want to give you false info. and be the one to blame if you go buy all blue just cause they said it looked like a boy. They like to wait till you're at least 20 weeks cause by then you are able to be more sure. When I went for my last u/s I was only 12 wks. 6 days and we saw a lil something that looked like a boy part but my doc said I should still wait just to be sure because it could also be the cord. I know there have been a couple of ladies that I conversated with on here that said they were told they were having one gender really early on in their pregnancy and came out to have the other later on in the u/s. On one of the ladies photos she even had the u/s pic and you could see the boy part.. so we thought but it was really a girl. Well congrats on your pregnancy. I hope you find out really soon.
