Hi :) I am Alyssa. I live with my boyfriend Leon, and our puppy Fiona. We are pregnant with our first little baby and I am so excited. I want a girl, and he of course, wants a boy. Really, though, It doesn't matter... we are just really excited. We are heavily influenced by art and motivated by creativity (him being a web designer/graphic and myself, photographer) so I have a feeling we have a little artist in the oven... this expirience will be so amazing and I am excited to be able to talk to girls on here, since I have no pregnant friends . Some of the closest people to me are not longer living thier life, and so I will cherish this little one more than anyone will or could ever know. Yay for babies. xo

19 weeks, I finally have a little somethin poking out but not much. People are always like 'you dont look pregnant at all, and im like IM A TINY LADY WITH A TINY BELLY WHAT THE HELL???" LOL

Hey hun, I saw your post on the 16 week wall and just wanted to let you know that whoever told you you can't tell the sex untill 22 weeks is definatly wrong. I went for an ultrasound last week (15 weeks) and found out it was a boy. That's usually too early, they can usually tell during your 18 week U/S.

i made an us appt today for nest week. That will be week 17. My dr said 80-85% of the time they can tell the sex by then. Im sure its not that diff where you live. Tell the tech to keep looking.

It's going pretty good so far .. I've felt a few baby movements .. I have 2 girls now so I wouldn't mind a boy this time around.. lol.. but as long as it's a healthy baby I'm good.. How about you?

No, I have not felt the baby move yet which is crazy to me because he was bouncing all over the place! I am patiently waiting to feel that "flutter." Our baby is 6.5 inches long so I think it is pretty amazing that I cannot feel him. That is pretty long!

hehe! the belly will come i balloned at like 37wks (the belly shot i took on my profile - yes theres only one in there and im 5'2 prepreg.119lbs lol) when baby starts growin so will the home! lol.. but take a pic every week u'll be amazed at the changes! im good.. just typing one handed with my little man hes been a real mommas boy this morning! lol wht do u too want??? when do u get to find out?

haha... I wish I had your problem! My doctor hasn't done any sonograms or ultrasounds since my first appointment at seven weeks and doesn't want to do my ultrasound until week 21. Like you, I want to be sure its far enough along to know what we're looking at, but I'm dying of curiosity! The last time I got to see anything, it just looked like a half-melted gummy bear. I had my third appointment this morning, and all they did was check my blood pressure and listed to the heart beat for a minute. Granted, I am extremely relieved that everything seems to be going fine and she doesn't have any reason to be concerned, but I am so jealous of everyone else's pictures. My only picture looks like a blob, not a baby! :)

i haven't been on in a few days, but i thought i would throw my two pennies in about the pap! mine came back irregular as well, but i had a colposcopy in october, and the gyno said i was just fine (and that usually women are just fine after having an abnormal pap!)

oh, and julian was a name i wanted for a boy- from an anne rice novel though (the witching hour series). so i think it's lovely ^^ but since hubby and i had to agree, we went with something different :)

sometime when your pregnant your cervix cells kinda get not abnormal but not quite normal. I wouldnt worry i am in the same boat

Hey how are you going? Don't worry about the abnormal pap! Abnormal paps are really really common.. some women have an abnormal result every pap they have. Certainly have it repeated but I would not stress at all.. you are way too young for cancer. Breath easy it's not cause for worry. Have you died your hair again or is it a wig? I'm loving my big boobs as well :) Go easy on the hair dye.. i saw this horrible documentary about the chemicals in all the cosmetics we use and how they can permanently damage the babies hormone regulation systems.. hair dye was a big one.. now i'm paranoid about putting on moisturizer.. ah you can't win.. too much to stay away from. x

alyssamarie: I wouldn't worry about an abnormal pap. Definitely tell you OBGYN, but don't worry about it. I had an abnormal pap for 2+ yrs. I had my last pap in Nov that finally came back normal and I got pregnant in Dec. My dr. was telling me even though I had an abnormal pap it wouldn't affect pregnancy. So don't worry about it. You and the baby don't need that added stress. Just be sure to tell your OB.

abnormal paps could be from a ton of different things. if you had sext to close to the day it was done that will give you an abnorm reading. just let your new doctor know and he may do another or not but keep a check on it after the baby is born.

Hey :) I was told not to get a pap smear while I was pregnant and for 6 months afterwards because the cells would come back abnormal even though there was nothing wrong... Call the doctor that did it and tell them you are pregnant... it should turn out to be nothing. Good Luck :)

for some reason i can not edit my post -- realized something didnt make sense lol. your ultrasound pic has 11 weeks or 10 weeks 6 days. just count forward from the u.s date and that will tell you how far along you are.

hey i was just stopping your page. on your ultrasound pic it says you are either 11 weeks 0 days or 10 weeks 6 days on 9/22/08...so that will let you know how far along you are vs. asking at your next ultrasound. hope that helps.

i baught some bedding tonight and have picked up a few things here and there, so no i dont think it is too early for that yet -- since u are having your shower after the baby you will need some stuff to get by on :)

^^ i am SO excited to almost be 15 weeks!!! I remember thinking in week 3 * this is never going to END* and now im feeling 100% better ^^

just think of how big your baby is going to look when you go to see it ^^ that's what i look forward to the most, is seeing the growth (well, next to seeing *my* baby in me!). it's just nuts!

the kitty is a serious dollface ^^ we finally named him glitch from the scific 'tinman' series (geeks).

I feel so much more content now that im in the 2nd tri :)

have fun staying home, sorry it's because you feel crappy! when i took classes, i would skip only when i felt good.. and try to tough out the other days ^^ it gave me a break from fulltimework/school. ugh, 3 years ago i was pregnant, working fulltime, and going to school fulltime >< that SUCKED SO BAD!

Yeah, me too, although I've actually gained about 2 pounds back of the 6-7 pounds I lost in the first trimester!!! Haven't caught back up to the original weight yet... but I'm sure we'll both start noticing it creeping up on us soon:-)
