Hi :) I am Alyssa. I live with my boyfriend Leon, and our puppy Fiona. We are pregnant with our first little baby and I am so excited. I want a girl, and he of course, wants a boy. Really, though, It doesn't matter... we are just really excited. We are heavily influenced by art and motivated by creativity (him being a web designer/graphic and myself, photographer) so I have a feeling we have a little artist in the oven... this expirience will be so amazing and I am excited to be able to talk to girls on here, since I have no pregnant friends . Some of the closest people to me are not longer living thier life, and so I will cherish this little one more than anyone will or could ever know. Yay for babies. xo

19 weeks, I finally have a little somethin poking out but not much. People are always like 'you dont look pregnant at all, and im like IM A TINY LADY WITH A TINY BELLY WHAT THE HELL???" LOL

Congrats! The baby dates say you're in your third month of pregnancy, because you are...you're not 3 months yet, but you're IN the third month. This week you're in the tenth week. Understand. Good luck:)

That is great!! I am feeling pretty good, just really tired. I have a 4 year old to chase after. Plus, my husband is in school full time, so I am pretty much a single mom in the evenings. I have an appointment next week, I am ready to hear the heartbeat, just want to make sure all is well.

ya i agree. it doesnt really feel real to me yet either...its weird. i am starting to get a little bump but i think it is more of a bloat than anything...maybe in the next few weeks. where is des moines?

AF means aunt flow- your period. BFP means big fat positive reffering to a positive pregnancy test. on the week by week calendar pages there is a scroll down menu on what all the abbreciations mean - under the part where you type to post a message. hope this helps. Congrats on your pregnancy

If you are only 4 weeks the heart beat shows on 6 weeks I think so be patient. Don't worry yourself.

Good luck and try to relax as much as possible. I've been on both the good and bad sides of things. My first pregnancy, I went in for an 8 week ultrasound and they found that it never went past 5 weeks. I was devestated for a long time (it's still hard). My second pregnancy, I went in for an ultrasound and, again, no heartbeat. I even started spotting and I was so upset. A week later and lots of blood tests later, we saw the heartbeat. I'm now past 5 months and our little girl is ok. Like I said, just breathe and know that you'll get through this.

Are you going by the first day of your last period? A four week sac will not have a heartbeat yet...a 6 week fetus will. If your HCG levels are up tomorrow you'll probably be doing fine! Maybe you're just off on your dates.

I too have bizarre twinges - but nothing compared to the breast pain. Hormones are definitely all over the place - mostly the weepy hormone! My 2nd scan is also on February 1st....time cannot go quick enough. Take care x

Don't feel to bad my first appt is not tell the next month. But I just found out a lil after 5 weeks. My friend did not find out tell she was 5 months and everything was ok with her and the baby. When she found out she thought she was about 3 months. She ended up being @ 5 already. I'm sure you will be fine.
