Hi I am Amanda, I was pregnant and due Jan.19 2008 but at 34 weeks 3 days I got pre eclampsia and had to be rushed to Savannah hospital which was 2 hours from where i live. They planed to induce me Mon. night but my diabeties started acting up and my blood sugar droped to the 30s and his heartrate droped to the 80s. They did a emergancy C-section. He was born Dec.11, 2007 (6 weeks early) at 7:06 AM. He was 6LBS 3OZ 17 1/2 IN LONG.

He was healthy! I was sent home Dec.14, 2007 but had to go along. He has to stay behind a few more days cause he is a premie and didn't wanna eat that well. Other than that he is just fine. I am so lucky and so happy everything was ok with him. That scared me, and was the first surgery i have ever had and omg i never wanna a c-section again.


He finally came home after having to stay in the hospital for 10 days. I was so happy to bring him home. He is doing 100 percent better. He is a good eater now. He has his nights and days mixed up cause the first 2 nights he has stayed up at night and early morn and slep all day. Today he has done really good. He has been up looking around and he knows who mommy and daddy and big sister are. I am a so happy he is a healthy baby.
