Hello all mommies and soon to be mommies. I am currently 24 weeks 1 day pregnant and am due May 18, 2008. This is my 2nd child however it feels like my 1st because my daughter is now 11 years old. It took me a little over 9 years to get pregnant this time around and was about to give up when boom I was pregnant. I recently found out I'm having a little boy and was happy for so many reasons. For one our family never has boys, we have such a shortage of them...lol. Secondly my grandfather who was my father passed away on December 20th, 2007 of lung cancer and he was the last man left in our family other than the ones that have married in so I felt like maybe it was a blessing from my grandfather that I was having a boy and made his death a little easier for me to handle. My new little bundle of joy will be named Kenyon Neil. The Neil part after my grandfather, even though on the baby names vote it has mostly thumbs down but that's ok because everyone doesn't know the meaning behind it. I'm going to try to leave an update at least once a week. Hope to meet all you great people!

my baby is doing the same thing with sleeping all day. the only thing is, she's awake around 4 in the morning and wont go back to sleep until around 6am and then sleeps all day long. she might wake for a bottle but once its in her mouth she falls right to sleep. i guess its a normal thing and soon we will be wishing the sleep upon them. good luck!!

I had my little girl on May 20th at 7:45--she was 7lbs, 7 oz. and she's beautiful!! It was a very intense labor b/c I was induced, but I'm just so glad it's all over with!!! I will post pics soon.

I've been getting the same thing--the crampiness and whatnot. I'm just soooo ready to be done! I keep watching a baby story and it just seems to weird to think that I'll have a baby in a couple of weeks. I just need to keep myself away from the oreos--I seriously have issues; I just ate like 12. Again.

Man, I can't wait to find out how much my little one weighs. But again, we won't find out until a week from wednesday. Now that I've stopped work, my swelling has gone down SO MUCH!! I'm so glad!! I swear it was these socks I wore to work--they just cut off my damn circulation.

Now that I'm home I don't know what to do with myself. Isn't that crazy? I couldn't wait to get off work and now that I am, I'm already going stir crazy.

I'm ready to have this baby!! oh my god! I just want to see her little face and know that we're about to start our journey as parents, you know? I wish I was 40 weeks already and I could just have her.

About your allergies...I've been taking my Claritin almost since day one. Both my doctor and my midwife say it's fine and perfectly safe. Same goes for my Flonase. Hope this helps. Oh, and if you have a cold, I was told Sudafed was perfectly safe also.

Hey--we finally got the 4d like 3 weeks ago it came out pretty good! Some of the images were all garbled, but she looks pretty cute. It's insane to be able to see her little face in there.

You are sooo lucky you've just started to swell. I'm supposed to stay off my feet as much as possible because mine is so bad--it's sooo boring to do that. I feel like I'm going to go nuts. I can't even wear socks because they just cut off my circulation. I've forgotten how I used to feel/look. I can't believe we still have like a month left. UGH!!!

I hate stretch marks. It's just not fair. I don't know what kind of pollen or what is going on here, but it's awful. My sinuses are just killing me.

I don't find out how much mine weighs or what position she's in for almost another 2 weeks. I'm getting so impatient.

I look like one big filled up water balloon!!!

I'm actually being taken off work early. Tomorrow is my last day--I just can't do it any more. Even a little bit of walking around and my feet and ankles just blow up. It's horrible. And my blood pressure is ok--it's just that I get nervous when anyone takes it, so it's high all the time at the dr's office. Basically they have trouble with telling what's normal on me or not or knowing if they have to worry.

I just feel so gross right now. I don't even look like myself b/c of all this swelling---and I had stretch marks before I got pregnant, but NOTHING like this!! UGH! I mean, I have them absolutely everywhere and they're dark and huge. Men should have go through this too.

I'm having some horrible allergies too! Where do you live?

Good luck on the little one being in the right spot. When were they going to induce you originally?

Hey!! Sorry I haven't responded in so long--I was off work for a few days last week and whenever I'm home, I tend to not be on the computer at all.

I saw your new picture! I can't believe how close we're getting. My doctor already put me on weekly appointments just because my blood pressure has been high and i'm swelling up like a water balloon. :(

My doctor said we would discuss all the plans on Monday. I am scared to death because he said she is already a big baby. My husband just doesn't understand. I am still having to do some lifting with my job, and not to mention the high stress that comes with being a paramedic. I am going to finish my 3 scheduled days this weekend and that will be it. Are you having a big baby also? Like I said, I am scared to death. Not to mention this has been a very stressful 9 months with a lot of family issues going on.

I had a 32 week ultrasound and he was almost five pounds then so yeah he's running large. His dad is also big and tall but not seven feet, lol, only six and a few inches.

WOW, I am not even close to being that big. I wish I was bigger though. I mean I am measuring right, so my dr. says, but I just think the bigger the healthier. How big do they think your baby is right now?? Good luck to you. We have the same due date.
