My profile

Hi everyone! My name is Amanda and my boyfriend and I are expecting a baby girl July 9th. It was definitely a shock when we found out I was pregnant, but since the beginning we've been so excited. We've been together almost five years and knew we would have kids someday, she's just coming a little earlier than expected. Our family and friends are super supportive and anxiously awaiting the baby.

Hi, I read somewhere that it is common for newborns to have what looks like crossed eyes sometimes. Don't worry.

My baby is 2 an half weeks old and she was cross eyed, still is now an again but we asked the MW about it and she said its normal and that it takes a while for them to focus their eyes tidy and its nothin to worry about xx

my daughter is 2 weeks also and goes cross eyed a lot i believe it's because they can't really see and their eyes do that but I don't think it's perm.

I was 135lbs pre-pregnancy and when I went in to deliver I got weighed and was 197!! I gained 62lbs!! Close to the end of pregnancy I looked at some pictures of me and was MAD that I let myself gain too much weight, I was so depressed. Immediately after delivering I lost 18lbs. Within the first week I lost another 10lbs ... and the 2nd week I lost another 10lbs! So I'm down 38lbs. I still have 24 more to go. When I think about it, its not TOO bad because I just had the baby only 14days ago. My face and legs and swelled back down and I look like my normal self again. But I still have a pregnancy pooch. It's depressing but I have faith it'll go back down and I'm going to start doing situps/crunches everyday.

I saw ur post about weight gain. I was 117 pre pregnancy, and gained 68 pounds....YIKES...I used to wear size 2-4..not anymore. My baby is now 3 onths and I have 25 pounds to go...YOU WILL LOOSE IT...IT comes off quickly in the first month....I just started working out (I had a c-section) so I needed to recover...don't feel bad for gaining weight...ur baby will thank you. My little girl was so healthy at 8 pounds 14 ounces.. Most of the weight is water...u will be fine. good luck to you and baby..:) sleep as much as you can now....:) the only advice that is needed LOL

Hey there, I saw your post in the losing preg pounds page. I feel the same way. I go to the doc tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I've gained a few more pounds since my last appointment 2 weeks ago. At the last appointment I had gained a total of about 40 pounds but I'm also 5'2 and I look like I'm 800 pounds. It's really depressing even looking at pictures of myself because I feel like they won't ever come off. I feel horrible because honestly, part of me feels a little bit more excited to have the weight off at this point, and to not have a huge belly (along with thunder thighs, cankles, 12 chins haha) than the actual delivery...don't get me wrong, I'm so happy to have my baby finally in my arms, but is it wrong to be equally as excited to not be fat anymore?? I, too, hope that by eating so much during my pregnancy hasn't done any perminant damage to my body. But yeah, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in how you feel about the whole weight thing haha good luck and congrats on the baby!

Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of feedback. One person wrote and said she heard from someone else that breastfed with implants successfully for 6 months her bbs were "deflated" looking but after a few months they eventually went back to there former shape. Her comment is on my page if you want to read it but again it's second hand information. I already have a few stretch marks on my bbs since I got pregnant (no where else just bbs). I don't care about that really it's the shape. I've only heard stories from another site and the two people that posted said they had sagged and nipples were pointed down after breast feeding. Both girls said they were probably going to have them surgically corrected. I don't want to go through that and not to sound like my bbs are more important than my baby but formula is available and my first daughter did fine with it. I will let you know if I find out any other information. I think I'm going to call my plastic surgeon and ask them.

Funny thing, I just told my hubby last night that know I get why people wait until after they have kids to get the implants. I have them and have had them since I was 19 and I am breastfeeding with no prpblems except constant engorgement and my son is five weeks. My breast do not look like they did before, they are heavy and gettign lower! ALso, I did not get any stretch marks anymore while i was pregnant or when I got the implants so I thought I was safe...nope. About two weeks after the baby was born, I got three stretch marks on one breast, and those blue veins on both. I was just thinking last night...there goes 5 thousand dollars!!! But the important thing is, my son has more than enough milk!
