He is the most beautiful sight we have ever laid our eyes on and we love him more than anything! Thank you God for answering our prayers.

After being induced with my first son he was delivered by emergency c-section 17.5 hours later weighing 9lbs 2oz and 20.5 inches long. He was due on August 11 and wasn't born until September 3, 1989. He is my 20 year old metal head.

My second son was delivered 24 hours after induction by routine c-section weighing 8lb 3oz and he was 19 inches long. He was due on January 15 and was born February 1, 1994. He is my 15 year old metal head.

My third son was born by scheduled c-section on April 18, 2008. He was 18 inches long and weighed 8lb 15oz. He is my 1 year old metal head.

Jonathan came into this world by c-section delivery kickin and screamin at 9:51 am Friday April 18, 2008. He weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces and was 18 inches long. He has a head full of dark brown hair and looks just like his daddy. It's hard to believe I played a part in making something so beautiful.

Oh, it was the very best part ... when they wrapped him up in the blanket and put him in my husbands arms to show to me ... to see him look down at the little life we created with so much emotion you couldn't even begin to describe ... I just cried. I didn't get to hold him but I did touch him and kiss them both before they left. They let Ryan carry him off to the nursery while I was being put back together.

We had a ton of visitors mostly family and some dear friends. So many wonderful gifts for baby pretty flowers and goodies for Mom. We were released from the hospital on Monday afternoon and thought we would need a moving company to get all our items out to the car. Daddy made several trips to and from the car while Mommy learned a few things about breastfeeding.

Jonathan went to his doctor Tuesday and only weighed 8 lbs 2oz. I had to see my doctor on Wednesday. He said my incision looked good they took some kind of stitch out and steri-stripped me closed. It was nice not having to have staples removed. With my older boys I was closed with staples. There were 21 with Andy and 17 with Daniel. I was a little bit upset because I had only lost 10 lbs after having an almost 9 pound baby. They said I was still carrying a lot of fluid and to be patient it will come off. He also said I wouldn't need birth control as long as I am breastfeeding!!! Who knew?

06/01/2008 - Hello everyone! Jonathan is now 6 weeks old and keeping me very busy! He doesn't sleep very well and I am not producing enough breastmilk apparently. So we spend several hours a day skin on skin trying to make it all better. His doctor has me supplement with formula so he will gain more weight. I felt like a failure at first but now I know it helps him get what he needs. I give him 3 ounces of formula 3x daily.

Jonathan weighed:

8.15 on 4/18 ... Birth

8.2 on 4/21 ... 4 days = circumcision

8.5 on 5/2 ... 2 weeks = check-up (umbilical cord came off 5-4-08) BATH TIME!!!

8.15 on 5/9 ... 3 weeks = weight check-up (cap removed from penis 5-9-08)

He is so big now but I have no clue what he weighs until he goes back to the doctor on 6/18 when he will be 2 months. I have absolutely no complaints I love him to pieces!

6/18/08 - I had Jonathan to the pediatrician today for his 2 month shots and well child check-up. He did fine with the shots although it broke my heart. He weighs 12lb 3oz and is 23 inches long!

07/04/08 - We went to the Scott County Park to watch the fireworks then back home for a safe Independence Day Celebration with our beautiful baby boy! He really watched them closely, we had a great spot to view them from. It did sprinkle a little, but it wouldn't be the 4th of July without a few sprinkles! We drove our Durango for the first time together as a family of course Daddy drove it home from the car lot lol.

07/19/08 - First trip to the Bluegrass Fair. Daddy won a nice green frog with orange feet! It was oh so 90 degrees HOT with about 90% humidity and Mommy wasn't nursing in public so it was pretty miserable! It was so nice to get into our air conditioned Pontiac and let my little guy suckle finally!

07/25/08 - Sophia Thomas was born today!

07/28/08 - Jonathan is growing up so fast. I can't believe my own eyes sometimes. He is so heavy and strong and curious about things going on around him. I love every new day spent with him even more than the last. It is great being a stay at home mom. We aren't doing very well financially, but who is these days? We are just living pay check to pay check like most people around here. We were happy to see gas had dropped down to $3.79 yesterday it had been up to as much as $4.19 around here recently.

8/14/08 - Louisville to visit little Sophia - she is such a cutie looks just like her Gammy!

8/20/08 - I had my little man to the pediatrician today for 4-month shots and well child check-up. She wrote "healthy boy" in his chart! He weighed 15lb 4.8oz and was 25 inches. His head circumference was 42cm. Everything was charted at 50th percentile. I am still breastfeeding and supplementing with formula. I have started feeding him rice cereal mixed with formula and he likes it. He smiles and laughs all the time and is oh so ticklish! Still loves bath time and gets at least one per day sometimes two if cereal gets too messy. I am having the time of my life!

9/10/08 - Jonathan tried Beechnut stage 1 green beans and LOVES them! He also has tried butternut squash (didn't like so well), sweet potatoes (likes), pears (likes), applesauce (likes), and bananas (really likes). I feed him 3x a day with just a little bit of cereal and about 1/2 jar stage 1 baby food. I mix a little cereal with the baby food so it is a little thicker. If I don't mix it up that way it splatters all over the place when he sucks and smacks them little lips. LOL ... He is sooo much fun. I still feed him cereal mixed with a little formula at least once a day in addition to the jar foods. I am only feeding him one 6oz bottle of formula per day now at bedtime after breastfeeding. He doesn't usually take all of it and he is breastfeeding very well. He has started sleeping 8 hours straight some nights. Not all of them! Yesterday he took a nap in his bedroom for the first time in his crib. He has a lovely cradle beside our bed for night time sleeping. Ryan wants me to start putting him in his crib for naps to get him ready to move. I hate the idea of him on the other side of the house, but it is a small house.

9/18/08 - Jonathan is 5 Months Old Today !!!

9/23/08 - Had Jonathan checked out today he weighed 16lb even and 26 inches even. Pretty perfect if I do say so myself!

10/15/08 - Road trip! Ryan, Daniel, Jonathan and Mommy went to Cumberland Falls State Park today! Wow what a beautiful sight and we couldn't have picked a better day to go - BEAUTIFUL!

10/18/08 - Jonathan is 6 months old today! We attended a huge Fall Fest Reunion Cook-out gathering of the entire family at Uncle Nathan's house. It was a good time.

10/19/08 - Jonathan cut his first tooth today! (bottom right)

10/21/08 - Jonathan cut his second tooth today! (bottom left) My little sister had her 20 week scan It's a BOY!

10/22/08 - Took Jonathan to his pediatrician today for 6 month shots. He got 2 shots in each leg (one was flu) and an oral vaccine again. They also stuck his finger and took a urine sample before I gave him a dose of Tylenol and some boobieJuice. Poor little guy they really put them through the ringer. He weighs 17lb 5oz and is 26in long. Head circ. 43.8cm. Doctor wrote "Doing great!" in his chart. Raised the amount of Tylenol he can have to 1.2cc every 4 hours. It breaks my heart to see how many clothes I have to take out of the closet and put away every week. He is growing up super fast.

10/27/08 - His blocked tear duct opened up FINALLY!

10/31/08 - The ladybugs are taking over!!!! Yikes that is the only bad part of this time of the year! Jonathan went to our friends house dressed as a little lion. Such a cutie! Maddie had a ball playing with the little guy. Took photos in his clown suit at home.

11/1/08 - Papa and Nana came for dinner at our house. Taylor and Kennedy came too. They kept baby entertained all evening. The little guy slept all night long 10 hours! It would be nice to have kids around more to wear the little fella down.

11/15/08 - Went to Papa and Nana's house for dinner. Uncle Aaron and Aunt Michelle were there as well as Grace Mike Julie and all the kids.

11/22/08 - Can go from laying to sitting to laying down again all by himself! Yay and pulling up like a pro! Growing up so big so fast!

11/27/08 - Dinner w/Courtney family to celebrate Thanksgiving.

11/28/08 - Met Papaw Tony for the first time. Hard to believe he lives in the same town and you just met. Well, Mommy has sent him pictures from time to time. His loss.

12/01/08 - Baby has the sniffles... Took to dr says he will be fine not to worry. 17lbs 15oz.

12/20/08 - Visited Great Papaw in St. Gr. then had pictures made too cute in your little flannel shirt. Came home and baby had a fever of 102.6 - sick boy. No sleep for Mommy! Found out later it was Roseola when he broke out all over his trunk with a rash. Lasted a day then went away before Christmas! Sweet Boy.

12/24/08 - Got together with Daddy's family at the Hamilton's home. He did his best opening gifts but Memaw helped him out a whole lot. Wore spider overalls and spider onesie and it was almost too small - another outfit packed up and put away.

12/25/08 - We went to Great Granny & Pappy Courtney's for brunch and then up to Papaw Tony's house to eat dinner.

12/31/08 - Happy new year evening at Roger and Christina's house in Georgetown. We left early and were home before 1am.

01/02/09 - Joshua David Riley was born today. Welcome little cousin!

02/06/09 - 9 month visit ((NO SHOTS)) Doctor wrote "Doing Great" infant Tylenol is still 1.2cc every 4 hours if he needs it. He was 28 inches long 19 pounds 3 ounces 45.5cm head circ. Perfect!

02/25/09 - Nathan Daniel Perry was born today! Mommy spent the whole day in Danville with Aunt Brandy giving birth to Nathan Daniel. I got there at 10am and he wasn't born until 7:30pm. By the time I got home at 11pm I had to get my little guy out of bed to nurse because I was in extreme pain. This is the first time away from little man. Oh I missed him a bunch! Cousin Nathan was 6lbs 7oz and looks like Daniel Lee Perry. I brought Lanie home with me so her Mommy could rest, recover and bond with her new baby boy. We'll take her back home on Friday night (the 27th) when Brandy gets out of the hospital.

04/20/09 - Well child visit. 12 month shots. 29.5 inches 20 pounds 8.6 ounces 46.5cm head circ.

07/05/09 - My little sister Brandy just informed me that she is pregnant AGAIN! July 4th celebrations were postponed until today (because of rain) so we went to see fireworks at Harrison County High School. He really enjoyed them this year.

07/19/09 - We went to the fair in Lexington! Little man had a ball! Memaw, Brianna, Hannah, Mommy, Daddy, and Bubby went. It was a Sunday afternoon and the weather was perfect (a very unusual 74 degrees in July!!!). Daddy won him a big Blue Frog with big green eyes. He loved funnel cake!

07/20/09 - Well child visit. 15 month shots. 31 inches 23 pounds 11 ounces 48cm head circ. Doctor wrote "Growing fine - try to up milk intake -If needed - - - use infant drops Tylenol 1.2cc or 3/4 tsp of children’s Tylenol".

09/05/09 - Took Big Bubby out to celebrate his 20th birthday.

09/12/09 - Spent the day on our boat fishing and exploring Corinth Lake. What a day for Mommy Daddy Bubby and Baby.

09/30/09 - Poor baby has a runny nose, sneezing, and some coughing too ... what's a mom to do? I changed him out of his jammies right into some more jammies and cuddled him up on the couch in front of PBS and we've been enjoying Clifford and Sesame Street all morning long. Now I'm waiting for a call back from the pediatrician to see if there is anything I should be giving him or doing for him to help him feel better. I am quite fortunate the little guy has been a very healthy baby. I do have some Johnsons Vapor Bath for later. The weather change is what did it - I think. We went from upper 70's to the low 50's overnight.

10/20/09 - Well baby visit 18 months 2 days old.

height: 32.5 inches tall =48% weight: 26lbs 5oz =55% head circ.: 48cm =50% He received 4 vaccines 2 shots in each leg.

I went to the doctor today, I have been on a diabetic diet for one week and lost 8lbs. My sugar levels seem good my BP is 120/80 and his heartbeat was very strong. He kicked my OB twice while listening. I am doing better! Still have sugar in my urine??? Not sure what's up with that! BP seems to be doing better now.

I went to my OB yesterday and lost 2 more pounds BP was 120/80 and all is looking well as far as little Jonathan goes. We will be having another ultrasound next Thursday! I am so excited I can `t wait to meet him. I love him so much already!

My OB is the longest delivering OB around here so I am confident he will take care of me but as the date approaches I become more and more nervous about the delivery. Simply because I am having my third c-section doesn’t `t mean it will go smoothly does it. Especially since my first two where so long ago. Doc seems confident everything will go well these days... but the first 6 months he was sure I would spend the last several weeks in the hospital. As much as the last 3 months anyway do to pre-eclampsia. He took me off work - January 29th was my last day and since then I have done better and better with each passing day. The first two weeks I lost about 10 pounds of fluid! He was very worried about my BP and swelling. Yesterday my BP was 110/80 doesn’t `t get much better than that I don `t think. He has my weight at 6 pounds heavier than I was at my first appointment. So I have gained 6lbs and Jonathan weighs 6lbs. I am trying to eat better and monitor my blood glucose 4x a day at least 3 days per week. OB said be sure one of the days is on the weekend since I was kind of avoiding monitoring on the weekend. My baby shower was held on Sunday March 16, 2008 after being postponed due to the storm of the decade. You know how you schedule something and mother nature drops 9 inches of snow on it. My luck...lol. I got so many nice things. I am seeing my OB 2x weekly and he runs NST one day and ultrasound the other day. He said he will do this from now on and if there are no further complications he will deliver Jonathan by c-section on April 18, 2008. I hope to just go into labor and deliver him the old fashion way but that would be too easy.

Happy Easter. We chose to go visit my Mother and Sister in Danville instead of going to any of the other places we were invited to go to. I am so glad we did. This was the last time I saw my Mom.

My mother was found in her bed at 7:30 this morning. She died sometime during the night between 2 and 4 am. I am a wreck for real. Why? She just turned 55 years old on Saturday! SO sad.

My mother was laid to rest today. It was difficult for me to talk to everyone at her funeral about her ... it was much easier to talk about my big belly. I didn't go up to the casket and view her body.. I just couldn't bring myself to see her that way.

Thanks to everyone who wrote in regards to my mother. I am coping as well as can be expected I think maybe even better. I am looking forward to meeting my newest son on Friday morning!!! I can't wait to see my husband hold him in his arms and down look into his eyes. I know he loves him so much already. This is a wonderful website and although I didn't use it too much until recently it has been a God send for me at this time. I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate the thoughts and prayers from you all. I truly believe the power of prayer works and it has made this much easier for me. Thank you. ~Tracey
