November 2nd, 2007- Went to the doctor and found out we are having a baby girl!! I couldn't be happier! Every single person in my family & all of my friends swore it was going to be a boy! What a wonderful surprise :) I am 20 weeks pregnant and she is measuring at 20w 5 days and weighs 13 oz which is larger than where she should "technically" be at but doctor said that is great! Better to be bigger than smaller! Her heart beat was 143bmp and she was very active. We had the whole ultrasound recorded on DVD. This has been a very healthy & blessed pregnancy. I've had it pretty easy compared to some of the stories I've heard!

So here is my birth story:

March 1st-

2:30am I was sleeping (well trying to) and realized I needed to pee OF COURSE. So I layed there for a little while knowing that it would take me a while to get up and walk the whole 10 feet to the bathroom when all of a sudden I felt a gush..... I thought OH SHIT. MY WATER JUST BROKE. I was sorta in shock, but I had to jump out of bed. I never thought I could move that fast lol. I went to the bathroom and still felt leaking so I woke my boyfriend up and told him about it. He was still half asleep. Said "Call the dr" and fell back asleep. They told me to head into the hospital. I felt fine, only had one contraction so I didn't think too much about it- I was ready for a LONG labor lol (just thinking the worse). We got to the hospital about 3am and told them my water broke and they had me sit and fill out paperwork for like 10 minutes! What the hell! Hahaha I was sitting there and could feel more and more gushes of fluid. I got up to the room, got hooked up to an IV. They checked my cervix, I was already 5cm dialated- within a half hour! I started having contractions, but nothing what I thought they'd be like. They were just uncomfortable. My hopes of having a drug free labor were looking pretty good................. Then they started. BAD. OH MY GOD I was screaming! I told the dr I wanted a pain killer. They had to check me again, if I was too far along the only choice I had was an epidural. I was checked at about 5:30 or so and dialated to 8cm. Epidural it was. Thank god for that! Relief! 7:45 came around and I was fully dialated so time to start pushing! I pushed for an hour and our baby girl was born at 8:48 am. She was 6lbs 6oz and 19 inches long. Absolutely PERFECT! We decided to name her:

Gabriella Destiny Montoya

She is the most precious thing I've ever seen. I LOVE being a mother and I don't know what I would do without her in my life. I never knew I could feel a love like this. There aren't even words to describe it. I'm sure all you other moms know exactly what I mean!
