Hey, my name is Amber, Im 23, From MO. I'm married and have a 4 yr old son named Camren. I'm expecting a baby the first of June but may be induced the last week in may.I hope all goes well because Im really nervous this time around!

My husbands name is Mitch and we have been married for a lil over a year.

Things are going ok right now, it seems like this 2nd pregnancy is already taking soooo much longer then the first but I was also 18 with my first one and totally oblivious to everything! Now im such a worry wart! But I had a M/C back in feb and we tried for several months and finally got pregnant. Im hoping for a lil girl this time but I will love whatever god gives me boy or girl as long as its healthy!

Oct 27- My first Doc appt, wasnt to much excitement just the lab and fun paper work but at least Im prego!

Nov 27th- 2nd doc appt went well. I got to hear the babies heart beat which was 160. My doc says since I had a BIG baby last time we are going to play it safe and induce me in my 39th week. I got set up for a sonogram on Jan 3rd but a friend is hooking me up with a sono earlier since she does that for a living on Dec 22 so by then I should be close to 17 weeks! I cant wait, Im ready to shop! Im soooo nervous that something might be wrong and its driving me nuts!

Dec 21- Well Im really upset. I was supposed to have a sonogram tomorrow and I have been counting down the days and then come to find out tonight that the girl cant do my U/S now! Im soooo upset! But I guess Jan 3rd isnt that far away anyways for my next U/S! Especially with the holidays Im sure time will fly. I had my hopes up so high though.... And Im so nervous about something being wrong with the baby or something. I mean I have a 4 yr old who is perfectly healthy and I have taken good care of myself so Im sure everything will be ok but still Im ready to reassure myself!! Anyways I will definitly let you know when I find out Jan 3!! Had to vent!!!

Jan 3. ITS A GIRL! Im sooooo Excited. I wanted a girl so bad. She weighs 7 ounces and the doc says shes very well proportioned. I do however have a low lying placenta and my doc told me not to worry that 90 percent of the time it will move up when I get bigger. Im hoping it will. I will have a 2nd U/S at 28 weeks to see if it has moved up otherwise I will have to have a C-section and that freaks me out! I have only gained 4 pounds so far. I went shopping right after my sonogram and had a blast picking out dresses and all kinds of stuff. Cant wait to start on her room soon. My husband and I cant agree on a name. I want Mckinley Marie but he dont know if he likes it or not. Im hoping I will win that one in the end....We will see....

Feb 22- Well today I went for my 25 week checkup and had to do the fun glucose screen test. I FLUNKED! My level was a little high so I have to go back next week to do the lovely 3 hour test. Im really hoping everything comes back ok. This pregnancy has been far more complicated then this one. Im just ready for the months to fly so I can have this lil girl and stop making myself so paranoid. I go back March 18th for a second songram to see if my palcenta has moved up since it was low at 18 weeks. Im hoping for the best cuz a c-section scares the hell out of me!

Feb 27th- well I did my 3 hour glucose test. I was sooo freaked out about getting sick and although it wasnt a blast and I didnt feel the greatest it wasnt so bad. My husband had to work that day and was upset about going alone but then a friend of mine went with me and made me feel much better. I had to get blood drawn 4 times and that wasnt fun. I will know in a couple of days weather or not I have diabetes, Im hoping for the best but if i do have it I will have to deal with it the best way I can!

Feb 28- Well we have decided on a name. We are naming her Madalyn. As for a middle name thats still up for debate! Anyways I still havent heard back from the doc on weather I have gestational diabetes. I had the 3 hr test wednesday and they said they would call if I had it but if my test came back ok I wouldnt hear anything, so Im hoping since I havent heard anything yet that I dont have it. Im keeping my fingers crossed!! Also we are finishing up her nursery in pink and brown, its suposed to be nice this weekend so we are going to move in the furniture and set it up and I cant wait to see it all start to come together. Next sunday the 9th is my baby shower and im soooooo excited.

March 9th- Well today was my babyshower and it was soooo fun. Madalyn got lots of cute lil clothing and stuff. Although I was hoping to get more bottles and diapers I did take some things back I got doubles on and was able to buy her a bouncy seat and some diapers and bottles. I cant wait to get her room all the way together. I go back to the doc on March 18th to see if my placenta placement moved and Im a lil nervous! Im soooo afraid that when I go back for another sonogram that they will tell me its a boy instead of a girl! lol

March 31- 2nd doctors appt today. Went well, im measuring 32 weeks and im almost 31 weeks. I have gained about 21 pounds, not to bad. I was having soo much pain on the left side of my belly and it was getting hard so I was afraid I was going into labor but it turned out being nothing thank god! Every 2 weeks now~!

May 1st- Well I haven't kept up much with writing about my doc appts. Well last week I had to go into OB to get checked out cuz I was having cramping and some spotting. Everything was ok but in her sonogram she wieged in at 5 pounds 12 oz and I was only 34 weeks. Shes a pretty good size. So I went to the doc April 28th and talked to her about the size of her since they were already planning an induce date may 29th and we are going to do another sonogram May 20th to see what her weight is again and if shes a good size which im sure she will be she will send me to KC to get an amnio test done to see if her lungs are developed and if they are, which they should be, I will be induced the next day which would be May 21st. Im really nervous but excited and I cant wait until the 20th. I go back to the doctor May 12th to have my group B strep done and she will check to see im dialted. It would be nice if I had at least started dialting to get things moving along! We will wait and see......

May 12th- well Im 1 cm dialated and 50 % effaced, its some progress at least. Madalyn is head down and low. Im having an amnio test to make sure her lungs are mature on May 20th in KC, im a little nervous but im still hoping maybe I will go into labor on my own before then.... Im scheduled to be induced may 22! I cant wait!
