Hi I am Amber, I am married with two children ages 10 and 5.....I guess my husband and I are on the five year plan! I am an active duty military member who is lucky enough to have a stay at home husband who takes care of the kids (and does a great job!) This pregnancy was quite a suprise but a great one, as I was supposed to be deployed to the desert this summer! I am enjoying this pregnancy so far and am looking forward to having a late fall baby this time. Healthy baby wishes to all you mommies out there!

Saturday, 16 August I hear ya on this one being so different. My other two were a breeze. With this one, it seems like what ever pains and annoyances that are available, I am experiencing. But they said its a girl... just like my last two. Must be being older! brownsugar -

Wednesday, 13 August I was reading our comment and was thinking that it totally sounded like me. I have two boys and never had any problems with the glucose testing until this pregnancy. I just got the call from my doctor yesterday that I failed the glucose test and now have to take the 3 hour, don't know if it has something to do with carrying a girl?

Wednesday, 13 August Yea...after you have the glucose test you will see the Dr. every 2 weeks...I had to drink the orange stuff. I was ok. They actually called me back like the next day with my results. Everything came back ok. I'm just glad that part is over...lol. Good luck to you. babbott -

Friday, 25 July I know it is hard when you are always hungry. I have to eat all the time it seems like. I was put on bedrest at 23 weeks so I cant even get in a workout. I cant do anything so I just sit here and grow. I am dreading the scale next visit there going to have to make me stand on two scales LOL!! Emilie -

Friday, 25 July Hey I gained 10 pounds in one month too! My dr said it's normal to see one huge weight gain, but she doesn't want to see it again...Hey neither do I! mandy poo -
Wednesday, 23 July hi hows it going? sondra0031 -
Tuesday, 22 July BUT DONT YOU HAVE TO BE DIALATED OR CERVIX SOFT? I HEARD THAT THAT CAUSES UPSET STOMACH THAT MAKE IT FEEL LIKE CONTRACTIONS? elizabethf -
Tuesday, 22 July I am sure it would be fine to get it at 28 weeks. You could always ask your doc if you could get it sooner. My doc left it up to me when I wanted to have it done, she just gave me the paperwork & the glucose drink and said anytime between 24 & 28 weeks to come in and have my blood drawn. *babylicious* -
Tuesday, 22 July I have just got to be really careful. Luckily, they didn't break completely - if they had, I probably would have had to deliver because of the risk of infection, but apparently because it was just some of it, it can top itself back up. I'm feeling lots better, but it's just fustrating not being able to do things like I could before! Thanks for your support! xx Numommy23 -
Saturday, 19 July Use playtex drop-ins. They are automatically BPA free because the milk is not poured into the bottle but rather the pouch. They make them in wide neck so you can use that. We also wanted to use Dr. Browns but they are very expensive and way more to clean. Playtex dropins you just clean the nipple. excitedmom2be -
Saturday, 19 July When I went for my 20 week check up I was 126 and now 5 weeks later I am 133! So I know how it feels to seem like the weight is just piling on. And I feel like I still have the whole third trimester to get through! I go see my dr. on monday, so we'll see what he says about the weight gain :\ We probably shouldn't be so obsessed... jenadamandbaby -
Friday, 18 July also, about the bottles...another thing not to worry about too much! my husband is a know it all...he'll tell you! I'm sticking with the dr. brown's. cacasey1981 -
Friday, 18 July I had the same feelings about BPA bottles and my cousin looked into it and AVENT drop ins are BPA free and all of their bottle nipples are interchangeable now. They also sell extra rings and accessories now. Jodinc77 -
Friday, 18 July Hey don't beat yourself up over the weight gain, my doc told me early on she wanted me to gain only 15 to 20 pounds (yeah Right) I work in an ER and one of my charge nurses told me that is so unrealistic even if I was heavey before hand. I feel just like you sometimes, I have gained 30 lbs and I can't do much exercise b/c I have Degenerative Disc Diease and with the pain of just walking there is no way I would ever be able to work out, hey just think of it this way soon enough you'll have your little bundle of joy and at least 6 weeks off to get some of the extra weight off. Good Luck!!!
