Time to update this thing...

My name is Amie. I am engaged to a sweet man named Matt. We have a little boy that is now 7 months. (born at the end of January). Loving being parents. We actually are talking about having another one right after we've been married. We have been engaged for..a year and 9 months..making that almost 5 years total together! whew! Twice now we've bumped our date. Mainly we want to be able to do what we like..and unfortuantly for us we've put other priorities over that. We are finishing up our house. Matt works alot and I'm a stay at home momie. We're probably going to go away and marry when it's all said and done...(which is my wish anyhow ;0)

Other than that...I paint and scrapbook. I run 3 miles daily. I get on here every morning. Nolan doesn't get up til 8:30. I get up at 5 so that I can clean up the house..eat some breakfast... get on my elliptical and pump some milk! When my little guy gets up...we go on our run...come home take a nap. It's a good life.

Hey hon! Yes girl, she is definitely on a pretty consistent schedule. She naps twice during the day and sleeps for 12 hours at night. Pretty much around the same time as Nolan. She's still not in her crib yet though. That's my project for this week. I've decided to make her babyfood since I'm still home so she's about to start eating potatoes and carrots. I hoping she really likes em. She'd been rolling over from tummy to back but this morning she rolled over for the first time from back to tummy so I was all excited girl. It was too cute. I think I kinda screamed in a high pitch like, "Good Job Kam" and it scared the shit out of her - haha. Girl she looked at me like, wtf are you talkin about mommy - haha! The mil has gotten a lot better girl. I think she's getting the hint to stay the f^^k out of our business these days. We still haven't set a wedding date. We've been kind of beefing a lot lately over nothing but we had a get-a-way weekend this past week so that's really helped some. Girl, he has been working my damn nerves. But I think its really because I don't have anything really occupying my time so I have to watch the nitpicking. Well anyways hon, that's all on my end. Oh, when did Nolan get his first tooth?

Well that is something else that Nolan is able to do that! You are going to have to keep a close eye on him for sure! I read that you go jogging in the morning with Nolan- What kind jogging stroller do you have? I have the BoB and LOVE IT! I rarely use my other stroller because this one maneuvers so nicely.

try playing peek a boo more and more. I heard it teaches babies that we will leave and come back. start with hands, then blankets, then try it pooking your head around a corner. try each a couple days til he gets okay with it. maybe this might help? I helps me when i'm getting ready in the morning. taylor will sit there staring at where i left, and i check in ever couple min and say peek a boo, she laughs, and i go get ready some more. oh, and i'd pick him up more often. like you said you cant spoil a baby, and the more you confort him now, the more he knows you'll be there and he can relax and know you'll be there when he really needs you. I know a lot of babies are like this, but we havn't had any trouble with taylor doing this. hope this helps some.

Hi there! I saw your msg on 7 month public page. I remember you from pregnancy, I don't know if you remember me but it's funny, Gavin was born a day before your little boy. Your boy is adorable. I know it's hard when you have to do stuff and the little one's extra clingy but I was just talking to a friend of mine today with a baby the same age and we were like, "why are they being so weird lately?" And then we're like, oh, yeah, they're teething, growing, learning to sit, crawl, and babble. that's an awful lot for them to be going through so I'm sure that's why they may be a bit more needy now. He won't even play in a jumper or exersaucer? That really helps me get stuff done. Good luck! I hope it gets better soon. Take care!

this is that age where they are building strong attachments and can finally tell a difference between mommy and daddy, stranger and friend.I think your bubba is just attached to you and expresses it when you leave.I think he will grow out of that.

To be honest I don't believe picking up a baby 'spoils' them ... he sounds like he wants extra attention from his mummy so maybe just give it to him

I know you prob already do but could you sing songs and chat to him and be silly with him while you do your chores. That's what I do with Caden otherwise he gets bored. I think you have a very active alert child and he just wants that extra mummy time! Caden also cries at night when his dad tries to settle him, he only wants me to do it. I guess cos we are the main care givers they have that extra attachment.

Hi Ladies - Just wanted to let you know that my little lady has made 4 months and growing more and more everyday. She's such a joy - laughing out loud, rolling over (well from stomach to back but we're working on the other way) and she's still sleeping about 12 hours every night. I've also started her on solids. I've decided to make her babyfood (huge money saver) so I've been adding bananas and apple sauce to her cereal and she loves it! She has her 4 month checkup on 9/8 so she's not gonna be a happy camper since she has to have more shots but I'm sure she'll be fine. I just hope that the nurse isn't soo rough this time **wishful thinking**... Well that's all our new news. Here are some 4 month pics that we've taken the last couple of days.

my baby neever slept through the night, only twice in the last week. he always woke up every three hours to nurse, and now he wakes up once or twice for a bottle, he goes to sleep between 10-12 and wakes up around 3 or 5 for a bottle and then sleeps until about 7:30

Thank you for your comment. You were right.I was so excited because the past two mornings I pumped 4.5oz from one breast!! During the day I would get only 2oz per breast. so it's awesome to get that much off a one side shot.Thanks for the advice. Now I pump in the am and i'm good to go out for a few hours and do some running around. Ifeel so much better getting out of the house alone. i'm sure you know the feeling...thank you for helping me.ps:whats up with the oatmeal everyone talks about?

OMG Girl - are you ok now? what happened? Did you take him to the emergency room? I'm sure Nolan's fine girl. I just know that if I were in your shoes, I would freak out as well. Try not to worry and keep me posted.
