Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I really enjoy being on this site and sharing this journey with all of you.

My husband and I have been married nearly a year (07/07 is our anniversary) and have gone through a "trial by fire" of sorts. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with PCOS and I figured it was nearly impossible for us to conceive. I am medicated, but that doesn't always fix the problem. So, shortly after the wedding we decided to stop using protection. Imagine my shock and surprise at finding out we were pregnant after only TWO months of trying!

It took a long time for me to get used to the idea and the timing, but I had grown to love that child. Unfortunately I managed to get a rare bacterial infection and wound up losing that baby in December at 17w4d. I was realeased from the hospital on Christmas day. We immediately started trying again. I was so empty from the loss and wanted nothing more than to fill that hole with another child. My husband felt the same way. We will never forget dear, sweet Maddie, but it was time to move on and give ourselves something to look forward to.

After going CRAZY with the desire to be pregnant again, I resigned myself to living my old life and trying to enjoy it. After only two months of trying we managed to conceive again. We learned about this miracle on 03/22/08 - exactly three months after losing our daughter.

In the blogs to the right is our (brief) journey TTC and the trials of this pregnancy. I have been diagnosed with placenta previa and had a major bleeding episode in early June. Fortunately my doctor is keeping a close eye on me and on this child. As we get closer and closer to the point we were at before, the excitement and fear grow together. I can not WAIT to hold this child healthy in my arms!!!

Well.... I got a BFN at the doc!! Geesh! They did take blood though but she said she wasn't going to test for the hormone since the pee test was negative... whatever!! lol I'm a week late so it could still be early. Hope you are feeling great today!!

I am not affended at all, I am waiting on getting ins and then I can look into it more. So I do know I need to lose weight and have a gym membership and plan on working out. Thanks for the advice and I could always use more. Thanks again. Have a happy healthy pregnancy!!

LOL, you are too cute. Thanks for making me smile! Do you think the blood test will be the proof? I did take a digital test today... NOT PREGNANT!! :( But last time I was preggo, the EPT was very faint... Do you think I am going in too soon? I am 6 days late. Thanks for your note about Petey! He's such a dork. He had just gotten a hair cut that day! How are your fur babies? How are you?? :)

I just read your story, and wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. How devastating. I'm also pleased to tell you CONGRATS on your pregnancy this go around. I also have PCOS. We had an early miscarriage last November, and are pregnant again WITH TWINS! YAY!

So we are almost in our second trimester! I had an ultrasound with my aunt cause she works at a hospital and I have just been nervous but I do feel much better. I was able to see lil movements! Well I guess I found the 5 pounds you lost lol cause I've gained 5!!

Wow - elementary?? I thought about elementary but I wanted the older ones. Of course everyone thinks I am crazy for teaching middle school!! I think your kids will be fine to do a concert in November!! My son was in orchestra the past 2 years and the beginner concert was always screechy no matter what!

Thanks!! I can't imagine what you've been through - you seem like a very strong person. I'm so glad that things are going well for you now!! School ought to be interesting in the fall! I'll have all boys next year so I have no idea what they'll do - although my girls are so mad they'll be at another school next year and not able to see me and the baby!

I just read your intro, and my heart goes out to you. We had a miscarriage this time last year. Oddly enough: I was married on March 3 2007 and we were pregnant 3 weeks later with a due date of Dec 1. This time around...we celebrated our anniversary on March 2 (due to minor surgery I was having on the 3rd) and would you believe it, we are due on Dec 1 AGAIN. And I agree, even after the joy of getting pregnant again, I can't help miss what would have been with our other pregnancy. I wish you continued health through your pregnancy!! :)

I just read your story about Maddie- I'm so sorry that all happened. It does make you stronger and your relationship stronger too. I never wondered about who my child was- never thought about it. But you have such an impact in who your child is, it would be hard to say. I am really excited that you are pregnant again esp with PCOS. What a blessing!

He is my baby right now... actually I have another dog and two cats. lol :) Bando is 15... looking pretty darn good, too! :) Well, girl, AF is somewhat late but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm pretty regular, but with the change in my body lately, it could just be that. Will keep you posted! How are you feeling these days?

I too had a loss that was later than typical- 23 wks. (7 years ago). Everything is ok now, but it is close to my heart. Do you mind telling me about Maddie? How far were you and what did the dr say? I am so happy that you are pregnant again already. It took us more than three years to try again. My son didn't replace my first son (that's impossible)- but he sure healed my heart and filled in that bottomless pit of a hole that was my desire to be a mom. I don't think I could've healed this much without my precious Ethan. Although, now I feel sad sometimes because we can give Ethan such a rich and loving life that was stolen from our first Thomas Hunter. But I know that the life God is providing sure pales what I think is rich and loving on Earth. God bless you and your little one- I pray all goes well!
