Hello everyone. I just found out I am PG on my dad birthday October 10. I go to the doctor the 23rd. This is our first baby and we have been trying for 3 years. It seems as though our time has finally come.

I went to the doc. today and YESSSS they confirmed it. I go back on Halloween for the first u/s

I heard the baby's heartbeat today. It looked like a little peanut. As you see in the U/S. We are going to call it peanut until we find out if its a boy or girl. I have a strong feeling its a boy though.

Next doctors appointment is Dec. 10. One of the girls in the office said you can tell the sex then, but I thought that was too early. Oh well it will be great if we can. We can start planning the baby's room. We're going to have to get rid of alot of junk to make room.

I went to the doctor today, December 10, 2007. I feel sooooo much better after hearing the babies heartbeat. It had dropped about 5 beats since October 31. But she said that was fine that the bigger the baby gets the slower the heartbeat will be. My sister-in-law says that it is a boy because their heartbeats are slower than girl's. Her little girl's heartbeat was in the 180 mark and mine is in the 156 range. It will be great if it is a boy even though I would know more what to do with a girl. I am sure I can learn. I go back Jan. 16, 4 days after my birthday to find out what it is. I'm Soooo EXCITED.

Yeah, that's how big my husband is too. I'm no small girl myself so I'm sure that doesn't help :) My husband keeps telling me not to worry about it because I have to have a c-section anyway so I won't have to push anything that big out. Um, hello - I still have to breastfeed your big hungry baby! LOL - I love what you have decided to name your daughter. Very cute.

I'm also swelling up like crazy. I blame my weight gain on that. ;) I broke 200 pounds last week. This is my third baby and the first time I ever weighed this much. Lots of luck!

I know how you feel. I'm the school nurse at my school and we get out on the 23rd. Everyone keeps saying what perfect timing this is but I think it's a little too perfect. If I had it to do over again I would have planned a little later into June that way I wouldn't be so worn out and so over being pregnant and still having to drag into work everyday until the last day. We can make it though. My husband told me that and I wanted to slap him, so sorry!! Maybe we can make it....I will put it like that. Good Luck!

i don't think gaining 23lbs by now is too much weight! I'm not sure how much i've gained, i just ask my doctor to tell me if i'm gaining too much so i don't focus too much on the number. But my mom and my sister both gained at least half of their total weight gain during month 6 and then tapered off or started to lose a little after that. If you feel healthy I wouldn't worry, doctor's aren't always right! try not to stress about weight gain, just eat in moderation and as healthy as you can! Good Luck!

good to know that happens to someone else too--i thought i was crazy. one day i felt like i was going to faint for much of the day and my heart was just like pounding out of my chest--and I called my nurse to ask and she said that the racing heart thing is common during pregnancy. So that's good to know.

are you starting to get scared now that we're getting closer?? i know i am...

Every one is different in what they feel. I am still paranoid with this pregnancy and I am in week 31 LOL. I guess until I hold her in my arms then I will know she is ok. Just now I have been thinking I haven't felt her move much today and this worries me. I just wish we had a little window to look into just to make sure everything was going well. Good luck with your pregnancy and anytime you need someone to listen don't hesitate to write.

I saw your comment about stretch marks...I too have been trying to keep everything moisturized, and so far have been lucky. I have heard and read very good things about a product called Bio Oil. It is meant to prevent stretch marks and also diminish scars and even old stretch marks. I am going to buy some next week...I found it online at cvs.com (just type bio oil into the search box) and it is really inexpensive. I figure it's worth a try!

Suggestion for potassium....switch your regular salt with Morton's lite salt. It is potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride. It's an easy way to get a little extra potassium and help with muscle cramps. Besides, we should be limiting our sodium at this point anyway!

I'm not sure if that is your baby moving or not. It could be that she is up close to one of your organs and is moving around it or kicking it. You don't have nerves internally and feeling is much different in there, so....??? Since this is your first pregnancy, you may just have to wait until around week 25 to feel real movements. However, if you are concerned, go and see your doctor. They deal all the time with concerned mothers and they should put your mind to rest. If they make you feel badly, don't worry about it. It is much worse for your little one if YOU are upset or stressed. It is ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry. Good luck.

The ultrasound of your little girl and her little girl parts looks just like the pictures of my little girl and her little girl parts. A boy's parts look VERY different from your baby and my baby's parts. Congrats on that!

she-wolf - Tuesday, 5 Feb
Saw you were on line so stopped in to say hi. Hope all is going well for you!

KrystalnJosh - Tuesday, 22 Jan
Yeah, it looks like mine. So if mine is for sure a girl then I would say, yours is too.

teenMOMMIE - Tuesday, 22 Jan
hah im positive its a girl. ive had 3 techs tell me mines a girl, so i guess shes officially a girl :P

candace3 - Monday, 21 Jan
I have had 3 girls and all their ultrasound pix looked just like yours. Maybe when I go in a month for my ultrasound for this pregnancy we will see boy parts!! That would be a change.

She-Wolf - Sunday, 20 Jan
looks like a girl to me!! On our ultrasound, as we are having a boy, you could definately see his *ahem* 'private parts'. No sign of them on yours......

s - Sunday, 20 Jan
When I had my u/s done the tech was very sure that she was a girl and I asked her again halfway through if she was still a girl and she laughed and said yes. Then before I left I asked her one more time (she must have thought I was such a pain!) and she said yes of course she's still a girl. It wasn't until I showed my friends and family the u/s pic that I started to worry. From the moment I saw the pos. pregnancy test I always felt like she was a girl so when people tell me they aren't so sure when they see the pic, I get so upset lol I asked my OB how accurate the techs usually are and she said about 90%... that makes me so nervous! I'd really like to get a 3/d u/s done to find out for sure but I was told that they aren't as safe as 2/d and they can cause some hearing damage to the baby so I'd rather not take the risk and just wait until 'she's' born.

katiemom - Sunday, 20 Jan
my call is a girl too! I couldn't actually get a gender shot of my little girl...she wouldn't sit still! you are lucky to have something you can refer back to. CONGRATS!

ChrisssyP - Sunday, 20 Jan

meekiepoo72 - Sunday, 20 Jan
my baby would not stay still long enough for him to get a pic of her private...she was being uncooperative...her father says she gets it from me...lol

threeangelsofmine - Saturday, 19 Jan

meekiepoo72 - Saturday, 19 Jan
THAT IS DEFINATLEY A GIRL....I SAW ALL THREE LINES..I ASKED THE TECH 'ARE YOU SURE'...HE SAID 'I BET MONEY ON IT'...LOL
