Hey everyone! Congrats to everyone that's expecting! I have been logging on to the website everyday and thought that I'd join in the conversation! lol
I was with my boyfriend for almost a year when we found out about the pregnancy... a week later I found out that he was cheating and so I ended it. We still get along and he still wants to be a part of this baby's life so I guess that is good...
My son is 7.5 years old and sooooo excited, just like I am... the questions he's asking are hilarious though...
I've just purchased a fetal doppler, and can't wait for it to be delivered! I have my names picked out for both a boy and a girl and I'm not really hoping for one or the other either way.
So far so good, but super tired! Not really much more to complain about cause I haven't had any m/s, and I didn't with my son either. I've heard it's brutal though, so hats off to all you ladies that have survived through it!
I have my second u/s on March 4... hoping to find out the sex... but we'll see I guess!
March 5/08 - I'm feeling good, but kinda cranky today... I had my ultrasound yesterday and it was sooooooooo awesome! I was kinda scared that they would find an empty sac or no heartbeat or something (I know... paranoid right?). But my little baby has a heartbeat of 155bpm and is 13cm from head to rump! They couldn't tell the sex yet, but I am booked for another u/s April 1st and they said they will tell me then. The u/s tech's were really nice and patient.. it took 1.5 hours to get the pics cause the baby is moving around too much for the right pic to be taken.. it was funny all the things they had me doin to get he or she to get in the right position! Turns out that I wasn't 13wks 3dys but infact 14 weeks to the day! YAY!!! I've posted the five pics they gave me... take a look if you'd like. The other coolest thing ever, was that you could actually see the baby twisting its wrist around and wriggling its fingers!
I also got my fetal doppler today, and that is soooo cool! My son and I listened and found the hb... I can't wait to meet this little bean!
March 6/08 - Seriously too cool... I'm sure I just felt that little baby kickin me!!! It wasn't even a flutter this time... almost like a muscle spasm, but WAY different at the same time! It was very light, but still super cool!!!
April 4/08 - So I finally went for my big U/S on Tuesday! Cj was supposed to meet me but told me he couldn't make it... I was (shockingly) furious!!! On the way to the U/S, my car broke down so I was in a bit of a panic that I wouldn't make it, but luckily a co-worker was on the same street at the time of my breakdown, so he was able to pick me up and take me there... Thank goodness (I was soooo curious to find out the sex and really didn't want to reschedule). I walk up to the clinic and Cj was standing there with a grin on his face... "april fools!". You could only imagine the cruel thoughts going through my head... lol So anyways, when Cj and I got to see the baby, it was amazing! I've seen u/s's before, but this was especially cool... you could see the baby's tongue moving around and thumb sucking, and the lips were puckering! Then, we found out... IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son is soooo happy! He wanted a little sister! Cj said that when he heard the heartbeat, it totally sunk in that he has a baby. Anyways, baby is healthy and she is doing well! I can't wait to meet her! We will be naming her Sarina....

well i sometimes feel dizzy and light headed one day to a point where i blacked out for a few seconds. I went in to my dr's and he said that most likely my Blood Pressure dropped and that when ever i feel like this to lay down on my left side for a few minutes. i dont know if this helps but i know what you feel i still get kinda scared thinking it might be something else. oh when it happens too i get the cold sweat.

I just read your comment about the dizziness and light headeness and i just had the same problem.Im not sure if its something to be worried about or not but im guessing if it dosnt pass then a docs app may be in order.

just read your post about dizziness. i looked that up yesterday because my SIL who is 6 weeks behind me was pretty dizzy yesterday. if you go to www.americanpregnancy.org i think under Common Discomforts it talks about dizziness. gives some great info - but if something doesn't feel right at least just give your doctor a call. good luck - hope you feel better soon!

when my aunt went into labor she said it wasnt painful it felt like someone was tickling her across the bottom of her stomach! idk how long it took to actually have the baby but if its been happening for a couple days that might not be what it is... but idk

I was done during the morning sickness lol yeah the accident sucked but the baby is just fine it's just my back that is all messed up and even thats ok cause now I can go on disability for the next 2 months till baby gets here so that worked out ok.

that is so funny what a little diva lol My weekend was ok except for the little car accident I was in after work on friday. Thank goodness I'm ok and so is the baby but boy is my back sore I'm a reseptionis t so I have to sit for hrs and it was painful enough befor the accident now I just can't bear it much longer

I had one at every app with my son and he has had 3 or 4 ear infections in 5 years they worried less about things we worry a lot about today and things like ultrasound are probably like space crafts to some specialy the 3D ones lol I know my Grandma freaked out

I never heard about the ear infection thing but my mom is against the idea of so many too I see no harm init some women need them real often for monotring reasons any way about the oj I would say like 15 or 30 mins befor the appt you can practice today drinking some to see how long after she starts to move lemonade also works for me I usualy feel her within 10 mins

I'm trying to get my boyfriend to cough up the money for an other one lol I realy want to see how she has grown and developed so far. I had one done @ 16 weeks(creepy very skeletal) and one @ 27 weeks I would like one @ 33 weeks I guees I just can't wait to realy see her and have her here

if you drink a ton of water between now and your next 3D sono the pics will be super clear and befor you go in have some orange juice that should get her moving and maybe get you some nice shots thats what I was told to do after 15 min sof no good shots and it worked =]
