Birth Story

I was okayed by my doctor to travel back home for Christmas, as we live 5 hours away and arrived on Friday. By Saturday night my baby's movements were starting to feel different, not as many, and a much different pattern then they had previously been. Sunday morning in the midst of a huge snowstorm, I told my husband we needed to go to the hospital and get checked out. I was put on the monitors for over an hour when two doctors and 3 nurses came in with an ultrasound machine, as they were concerned with the baby's heartbeat because it kept dropping. What they found was restricted blood flow through the cord. Within half an hour I was in the Or for an emergency section. It all seemed surreal and still does. My baby is in NICU and will be in for the next month. He is having some problems with his tummy and they are discussing surgery options for the baby and me and my husband are meeting with the surgeon today. He is a beautiful little boy, and a real fighter. He was 4 pounds 1 ounce when he was born and is down to 3 pound 10 ounces.

It is has been very overwhelming and beautiful blessing to have him here. The hospital he is at is one of the best around. I thank everyone for their support and I wish you all a very happy, healthy delivery for you and your precious little ones. I'll update when I can~

Merry Christmas

I am 14 weeks pregnant now and have started to feel great. Have my OB appt. tomorrow. Hoping all goes well.
