Hi to one and all,

Well i am still stunned at having twins in the first place, but to now have them here is absolutely amazing, they are now 2 days old and are absolute gems.

My little boy and girl are now a month,

Natasha and Alexander aren't they sweet.

well i have just got round to updating my page and here is my birth story;

My twins were born on 26/07/07 at 5:48am and 5:52am, i went to 39
weeks, my daughter came first and then my son, it was all so exciting,
my waters broke at 4:30am but for about 10 mins before i was
pacing round with a dull period cramp, which intensified,
although i never got a single contraction all the way through
my labour, after we arrived at the hospital about 5:00am we was
taken to a lovely and comfortable room to wait for something to
happen, well the cramp had started to intensify a bit more so
they decided to check on my progress, to everyone's surprise i
was already 10cm dilated, nothing was ready no cots, heating beds
or anything as we all assumed we had a bit of a wait, so everyone
was running round getting everything together, constantly shouting
dont push we need 5 mins to get prepared, once ready they said
you can push now,
so 3 pushes and Natasha was born weighing 5lb 12oz, and 40cm,
as soon as Natasha was born Alexander had to be twisted so that
he was head down to be born, they burst his sack then he basically
flew out into the midwife's hands, Alexander weighed 7lb 81/2oz
and 45cm, and i did all this with just gas and air (begging for
something stronger though). And best of all i got a son well
worth the wait, i have 4 girls and 1 boy now.

Twins
Listen, my friends and you will surely know
how parents survive with twins on the grow.

Day of leisure is now just a pleasant memory
when our double joy was born to us, you see!

One needs changing and the other to be fed;
the laundry to be done while they're in bed.

And a trip of any kind is a tale of it's own,
just getting them ready so we can be gone,.

Or do you remember when romance was once there?
Well, if I'm not too tired, tonight I might dare.

The grim I've told you, but please hear the other,
for such a wonder it is being a twin's Mother.

For along with the double trouble, it does so appear
comes plenty of double loving from those so dear.

And if people ask you, "how do you ever cope?"
Answer, "God sent a blessing and lots of hope."

Special Delivery
Special delivery, special pair
two little infants left in your care.

It won't be easy this great big task
God thought you were the one He would ask.

To guide and rear two at the same time
through fights and mishaps and lots of grime.

He will give you strength for the longest day
and He will always be there to show you the way.

Though times you will feel that you are alone,
there are a lot of twins mothers
who have two that are grown,

So with this in mind that others have survived the test.
You'll thank God for your double blessing
and do your best.

Twins Forever
I love my twin the most of anyone.
Born minutes apart, our bond is so special.
Our whispered secrets, our special language,
our tears and laughter unite us all our lives.
We mirror and affirm each other,
walking hand in hand, hearts in tune,
my twin is "my other half"

Blessings
Pink or blue - multiply by two
What excitement that news drew
Two boys? or girls? or one of each
Precious bundles - skin like peach
Downy hair and dimpled cheeks
Trusting eyes take a peek
A whole new world to explore
Love and laughter - a whole lot more
Tiny fingers - tiny toes
Adorable babies - ribbons and bows
Bunny rugs and lullabies
Lots of lows and lots of highs
So if one day you get the news
That you will need two pairs of shoes
Be glad at heart you've paid the price
You're special in that you've been blessed twice.

Oh my gosh! I don't know how you do it. Like I said, you've got to be one strong lady! I have pretty long hair but I think I'd have pulled it all out if I were in your shoes!

It's funny to take my whole tribe somewhere, watch people count heads and look at us like my husband and I are nuts! There are days the negative comments get me down but I just have to remind myself that everyones' entitled to their own opinion and unfortunately a lot feel the need to share. But it's my life, not theirs and I don't regret what I've chosen to do with mine. :) Thank you for the nice comment on my family. I THINK I'm having a girl but not 100% sure. I could swear it's a boy but...maybe I just didn't want to mess up the rotation! LOL How old are your twins now? They are so cute. And look completely different. I don't think that I could handle 2 that little at once. You have got to be one stong woman!

Annie...sorry you for what happened to you. I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I was made to feel that way about our previous Dr. Needless to say, we moved to a new, wonderful pediatrician. I have a web site for you to check out. If nothing else, you'll get a good laugh! http://www.plomp.com/largefam/comebacks.htm There's noting like a large family! Have a good day...keep smilin! :)

LOL That is too funny! I can already tell a difference inside because one is active all day and ALL night whereas the other one only moves once in a while. I wonder how this will carry outside of the womb? Did you notice differences that remained in their personalities after they were born?

OMG!! I read your entry on 'twins'. Congrats, by the way. I've been having dreams about having twins as well. Everytime I dream about the baby, there's always been 2!! I've had like 4 or 5 dreams of twins. I have my 1st U/S on Monday (17th), so we'll find out then. I just thought it was crazy that you had dreams too!
