My name is Abbie and I am pregnant with my first child, though it is my husband's second child. My 7 year old stepson, Jaiden, lives with us and he would like a little sister.

I don't think that I will be able to resist finding out the sex of the baby as I'm a bit of an organisational freak and I'm already frustrated that I can't start planning anything for when the baby arrives. My husband, Chris, is in two minds about it but would be happy to find out if that's what I want.

Chris is extremely excited and though we discussed keeping the news quiet until I was through the first trimester, he couldn't help himself and wanted to tell the world and I couldn't bring myself to make him wait.

Jaiden says that he can't wait until October and wants the baby to come out in March (now) instead.

My parents are estactic and looking forward to becoming grandparents.

I think that my biggest hurdle will be avoiding the fuss from the in-laws. They mean well but they're a bit too full on for me.

Hi ladies! Well Rhys is one month as of yesterday. He is starting to coo a bit more and is entertained if you show a rattle or some him something bright. He is not the easiest baby though. I dunno if its gas or what but he gets really fussy in the early morning hours and is def not any where close to sleeping through the night. Does any one have any advice on this?He sleeps in the bassinet next to our bed, but around 2 :30 am he just starts grunting and squirming. It's hard for mommy to sleep( daddy of course sleeps right through). He also spits up alot. He is breastfed, is this normal? Anyone else having these issues? I hope all your babies are health and happy and that your getting more rest than I am!!!

That’s good to hear know, it is crazy when you first get home and you just want to get everything organised and running smoothly. However, easier said than done. I bet you are a great mum though and probably more on top of things than most. It would be good to catch up and have another look at that incredibly cute baby of yours. Just let me know when is good for you. Thursdays are probably my best days to catch up as it's the only day Jake is in kind and I am not doing the shopping and things. But if you don't mind Jake coming, I am sure you wouldn't really, any day but Monday and Tuesday, just let me know.

so fiance came home from work today an asked me what was wrong. i told him i was a little tired an he got a attitude! said i shouldn't be cause all i do is take care of the baby. um.... hello! she is 2 weeks old an want's to nurse constantly! sometimes i barely have time to take a shower! plus i'm up with her at night. i don't even wake him up when she gets up. i let him sleep. i'm feeding her constantly changing her (he's changed 1 diaper.... seriously) bathing her an am up with her day an night.... but i'm not supposed to be tired. pardon my language but that's bullshit! i want him to do all this for just 24 hours an see how he feel

Thanks so much for your advice! Your birth story made me shed a tear I was so happy, hahahahaha. I had to look up on the net what a sweep is; I'm glad I did because it's something I definately want to try if baby is late, rather than have the drugs. How long did you stay in hospital for?

Hi ladies I have a question about breast feeding when i feed my baby boy he feeds very well but it seems he always wants to suck on my boob i am wondering is he not getting a lot to eat I am worried that I am starving him and I feel so bad :(

Oh my god, seeing the pics of you and your hubby and your little man is just amazing!! It really brings it home to me that I will have a little baby myself next year!! He is so cute, I especially love the pic of him in the bath. Wow, I am just so happy for you!!!! You will have to post some tips - by the time I have my baby you will be in a routine and know what you're doing!
