Sunday, 21 September about the swollen thing...i have had aweful swelling and my feet and ankles are where i have swelled, the midwife told me as long as it was only in my feet and ankle area that it was not an issue but if it started in my hands and face too, then they would be concerned. i have some knee high compression hose that i got and if i wear them all day, i have beautiful ankles by evening. mccraig -
Saturday, 13 September Yay for big babies! Yep, he says we are looking at a C section at 39 weeks. I'm hoping I go into labor sooner than that because I am so uncomfortable. The baby looked pissed off in the ultrasound and I was like, "I know how you feel little guy!" Good luck with your little chunky monkey! Here's to hoping they don't stay too comfy in there. serehya -
Saturday, 13 September You may want to ask if your too young for the test, they usually won't pay unless your in your 30's. You should always check with your ins company about stuff the doc wants to do to you, they have strict guidelines, and unless you get labeled high risk, they don't allow for much in the way of testing, especially at 20. I wish you the best of luck with it, I hope you can get them to pay, talk with you doc and see if you to can come up with a viable reason why he would have it run, and then he needs to back that to the ins company. sazzy -

Tuesday, 9 September Thank you for the advice. I have no doubts that we will get married. But the way I feel is that a son should have his fathers name. Therefore even if something ever were to happen I still feel he should have that name. Ugh MOTHERS!! Most annoying part is that my last name isn't hers, she went back to her maiden name after my parents divorced. SO I don't see what her deal is. Well thanks!! smilepretty -
Monday, 8 September You sound just like me. I began packing my bags yesterday and got the bottles ready as well.
My hubby had the bassinent together back in June !! We have been keeping it in our master closet. =)
It's getting closer =) Bangel -
Monday, 8 September I put together the bassinet and I draped a clean sheet over the bassinet to keep it from getting dirty/dusty and put it in a big closet we have. janette -
Monday, 8 September Hi anxiousfirst. Swollen feet are very common and it is not a toxicity. Keep them elevated. Buy Epsom salt. Soak your feet in Epsom salt bath. Recipe: about 1 cup of salt for about 10L of icy cold water. First disolve salt in hot water, then add the rest of the cold water and add the ice. Its unbeliavable!!! It really works. Just do it every day. Good luck. Shaymika1987 -
Monday, 8 September Yes it is a part of being pregnant. it might just be that you have a lot of fluid on your feet right now from where your not keeping them elevated and up and around on them all the time quiet common. So them in epson salt and keep them elevated and they should go down then if they still arre very swollen then I would see my DR Stone -
Sunday, 7 September If your legs and feet are seriously swelled then you should call your Dr. If it is just your feet and alitle leg swelling then it is a normal part of pregnancy. Just put your feet up as much as possible. My feet get swelled to and my legs do alittle. I wasn't ready for it because it didn't happen with my first. I hate the way they look but sitting with your feet slightly above your heart really does take down the swelling. Now if only I could get my 17 month old to agree that mommy should put her feet up more often. CalebandChloesmommy1983 -
Sunday, 7 September my feet and ankles are huge too .. they will prob. tell you to stay off them as much as you can .. and prop them up above your heart and also cut back on salt .. Navy0wife told me to put my feet in ice water with episom salt .. its really cold at first so it really hurts but once you get used to it , its not so bad, this helped to take the swelling down for me .. hope this helps .. aanaka -
Sunday, 7 September I have had pretty swollen feet since around week 25. My doc doesn't like it at all and put me on bed rest because of it. We have a compramise that I stay in bed a few days and then I get up for a couple of days and get stuff done around here. If I let them get to bad he really scolds me. You might want to talk to your doc about it. I do get swollen halfway up my shins too though. Try to take a couple of hours out of the day to elevate them. If you work though I know it can be hard. Lucky for me I'm a stay at home mom and can afford to take a few days off here and there. My fiance is really supportive too which can make a difference in getting the swelling down. Bangel -
Sunday, 7 September My cousin had the terrible swelling and it ended up being the toxicity or toxemia..whatever it is. But I have terrible swelling and nothings wrong with me...just a part of pregnancy. lead cackle -
Sunday, 7 September That ice cream is super good although I think the dough chunks have a little too gritty of a texture... Shaymika1987 -
Saturday, 6 September Wow seems like you getting showered with everything today congrats on it all serehya -
Friday, 5 September The only ultrasound that qualifies as one to date your baby is done in the first 10 weeks of your pregnancy, anything after that is not accurate because they all grow at different rates. My baby was measuring at 36 weeks, when I was 31 weeks, but they would never recommend changing the date. Plus the later the ultrasound the more room there is for error, because the abdomen could be scrunched and creating a bigger measurement thereby adding more weight to the baby. These late ultrasounds are a also + or - 1lb. So I would just ignore the tech and listen to your your doc, remember thee techs have the bare minimum in college education, and probably don't even have a simple AA degree. mrskcich -
Friday, 5 September They changed your due date because of the size of your baby??? I guess with it being your first they would do that. All of my kids were big so we are summing it up to that. My sweet pea just at 6 lbs at my 31 week appt. I will get another u/s at my 36 wk appt. We are anticipating her being 8-9 lbs with 4 weeks still to grow. I have already opted for the c-section since I do not want to push out another big baby, plus I am getting my tubes tied again.
We are supposed to discuss the date at my next appt on 9/17. YAY! melizondo -

Thursday, 4 September Ouch! two wasps! nasty.
At first I thought it was one of the black berry brambles picking into me and I ignored it - but then it got to a point where I couldn't ignore it anymore. I had a dr.'s appointment yesterday and I asked her about it, she said there was nothing to be concerned about at all - so I'm not. she probably thinks I'm daft for asking - but whatever -
