My name is Ashleigh. I'm 20 years old. I live in Leechburg PA, with my fiancee Corey. This is my first pregnancy, kind of. I was pregnant last year and lost the baby in Sept. On Corey's brothers 20th birthday. I was only about a month and a half 2 months along. We found out that I was pregnant because I just started getting sick all of the sudden and I was 2 days late with my period. I am never late on my period. So..I told Corey that we needed to go to the store and get a pregnancy test. We got a box that had 2 tests in it. I took them both and they both read positive. I ran out side and showed Corey because he was working on our van. He was so happy and right after he fixed the van we went to the ER to get a shot the dr said I should get right away next time I get pregnant. Come to find out I dont need that shot until a certain week of pregnancy, so we waited all day in the ER waiting room for nothing.

I contacted my health insurance and Im in this program that will send out a car seat to me for nothing when I am 24wks along (thats next week) and they will also send me a brand new free breast pump!

I've had 3 ultra sounds since we found out and we now know that we are having a baby girl. I've always wanted a daughter of my own. Corey also was hoping that it was going to be a girl. So we are both very happy about that! We had her name picked out since the 1st pregnancy. Alexandrea Ryan Beck. Do you all like that name? I think its gorgeous! We have bought onesies and nighties and booties, diapers and wipes, alot of bottles, some binkies, bibs, diaper bag, babys first teddy bear, a swing..the list goes on and on!

I have the same problem with my breastfed 7 week old. It seems like she's always hungry. During her awake time she wants to nurse at least every 1 1/2 hour. I have a hard time knowing if she's really hungry or just wants to suck. I also worry that there's something wrong with my supply and she's not getting enough milk. She's gaining weight though, and has lots of dirty/wet diapers. I feed her on demand, it takes a lot of time and makes it hard to get other things done during the day. Sorry I don't have a solution...but I think I know how you feel.....are you bottle feeding with breast milk or breastfeeding? I am thinking of pumping and using bottles so I know how much she's getting.

Mylicon drops!!! She has gas pains...my lil man went through that for about 7 weeks...finally I went to walgreens and brought the anti-gas drops. You have to be careful what you eat...because it's giving her gas.

it should but one of the things i still do with my god daughter she is now 7 months old but i would dim the lights or turn them off and maybe play some soft music or some soft noise or none at all and lay her on my chest and pat her back really softly i would make sure she also her binky. i might have to stay like that for about 20 mins after she is asleep then carefully move her to where ever she is suppose to sleep if she starts to wake up kinda pat her on her back and rock her a little in ur arms right where ur standing dont move otherwise unless she dont go back to sleep i really hope this helps also make sure she has enough to eat because Eleyna my oldest god daughter when she was that young she could not sleep well because she was still hungry but dont feed her to much where it is makin her sleep another thing that works for bailey is to fix a bottle and let her have it but kinda rock her in ur arms while givin her the bottle i know u may of already fed her but that seems to help bailey she would normally fall asleep right away but hopefully ur sleepless nights end soon bailey started sleepin pretty solid through the night at 3 months well good luck and i hope this helps by the way u have a beautiful little girl

At my son's 2 month check-up ...his doctor had to put him on cereal. The told me rice cereal...but my son tolerated oatmeal cereal in his formula better. My son use to cry so much...I had to feed him every hour or 1/2 hour...I couldn't do anything with him, he cried day and nite to be fed, and he'd puck everything back up. I got noooooooo sleep....Anyway, at your daughter 2 month appointment ask if you can start her on maybe a teaspoon of cereal in her formula.....that's definitely going to help her. Good Luck!!

I think developing any kind of schedule is benificial to you and to your LO. I would let your LO guide your schedule, exp with yours being so little. By that i mean follow her cues on when she is hungry, sleepy, etc. I wouldn't worry about time as much as following a certain pattern before bed. the time frame will come later. I don't and won't give a bath everynight. I didn't make that part of our routine. Our night time is play time, relaxing reading books, then i bf and then it is straight to bed. it works for us. Good Luck!

In the early morning hours I pull Kekoa into bed with me. he is such a cuddle bug in the morning. I love waking up with him wrapped around my neck. He is a much better sleep partner then my husband. HAHA!

Oh and as for sleeping. Co-sleeping isn't bad but if you want to stop then I would start trying now. Start with naps in the bassinet. If she won't even do that then let her fall asleep and move her to it. She'll get use to it. I never had that problem since my son has been in his own bed since he was three weeks old.

Since she drinks breastmilk you have realize as well that it's going to be different then formula. Formula is thicker and sits in their little tummys longer which keeps them full. They also poo more out because less of it is digested. Breastmilk babies disgest almost all of it. Until Kekoa got on solids he was only pooing once a week. He also doesn't drink that much and is growing just fine. There is a little girl at our daycare that is 4months old and still only drinks 2oz every two hours. She has a tiny tummy. Every baby is sooo different and it's hard to compare them. My son is a little "advance" in motor skills according to the charts but that doesn't mean he's going to be a pro athlete or a genius. I think most babies "start" to roll around three months old. Sitting is around six months and crawling around 9. My son is starting to walk and he isn't 9months yet. The average walker is 14months. Pretty much I can't stress how important it is to remember that every baby is going to roll when he or she wants to. Nothing, even tummy time, is going to make her roll any time faster. Anyways, enjoy it while it lasts. I miss being able to put him on the bed and fold clothes. Now I can't let my eyes leave him unless we're in his room. HAHA! Good Luck!

I just read your comment about feedings. During the first two or three months babies go through sooo many growth spurts and may need to feed more often or more at a time. I breastfeed which means more often. I believe feeding on demand is the best way to go. My son really didn't get on an actual schedule until three months when things started to settle down and we had a routine during the day. I did start bathing him every night before bed early on. He is now 8 1/2 months old and can swim by himself in the "big" pool. Tubby Time aka swim lessons were important to both my husband and I so we started early on. As for tummy time. I think you want to do it as often as your baby wants. If she can't handle it several times a day then once is fine. Do what you feel your baby needs. No one can tell you how and when to feed her, only you and her. Congrats on your new one. I can't wait to have another. I love the little ones. HAHA! My son wasn't little though.

they did tell me that i had 2 small tears but not specifically where. and i definitely think they should. i swear, it's almost like they're afraid to give you too many details about it. and then they don't see you for another 6 weeks.

Congrats on your baby girl!

amberlei - Thursday, 15 May
He was 9.2 pounds 23 inches long and im not a very big girl and had a hard long labor, they wanted to do a c section at the last minute but decided babies head was to far down and they had to get on my stomach and push as hard as they could and use the vac. It was a bad experience that im scared of repeating. My doc said I must have BIG babies!

amberlei - Thursday, 15 May
Well my doc was worried about my babies weight since I had such a hard time with my first baby being so large. She told me she was surprised I didnt break anything down there and dont want me to have to go through it, but as long as shes healthy thats my main concern. I have had a blast shopping for girl clothes, she has so much that she will prolly never wear it all. My baby usualy gets hiccups quite often it feels so weird..haha Good luck to you~

amberlei - Tuesday, 13 May
