Hello Pregnant Ladies,

I am so excited to be pregnant again. I have 5 year old twin boys and I have wanted another baby for quite a while now. I had trouble getting pregnant the first time so I thought it just wouldn't happen to me again. Out of nowhere, I started getting very sick and soooo tired. Then the emotional part began. I was 6 weeks late but the thought never crossed my mind that I could possibly be pregnant. Irregular menstrual cycles was normal for me. I was at work one morning and my husband called and I told him how bad I felt. He told me to go on my lunch break and get a pregnancy test. I took the test at work and much to my surprise, I was pregnant. My husband ,who always said that 2 kids is enough, was totally excited. I was in shock at first but I couldn't have been happier! This pregnancy is such a gift from God because I always said it would take a miracle to get pregnant again. MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!!!!

Tuesday, 5 Feb

Well, 15 weeks is almost here. I `m so excited. I went to the doctor last week and the heartbeat was 148. I will get another ultrasound in 4 more weeks. The doctor said that we will be able to tell the sex then. I can `t wait to be able to call the baby a she/he instead of IT!

Wednesday, 20 FEB

My belly is growing more and more each day! I have been feeling the baby kick quite often. Over the weekend, I felt it kick so I looked down at my belly and it kicked again but this time I saw my belly push out with it. I was sooo excited. My next ultrasound is March 7th. Wish me luck!

Friday, 7 March

It's a girl! I am sooo excited. The ultrasound tech wasn't 100% positive but there wasn't anything sticking out so she said that she was pretty sure that it is a girl. She moved around the entire time, kicking and punching. She is beautiful already. Thank God for miracles like this.

Saturday, April 12th

We have finally decided on a name. It's Shelbie Grace! We had another ultrasound a couple days ago and it is definitely a girl. We're soooo excited. She is moving around in there all the time and I love it. She finally kicked her daddy for the first time today. I can't wait until she gets here.

Tuesday, April 29th

We set a date for my baby shower. It's June 7th. I'm sooo excited. I am starting to get the baby's nursery fixed up. My mom won't let me lift anything so it's hard to do what I need to get done. My mom and sisters are going to come and help me this weekend. Baby Shelbie is moving around all the time. She loves to kick at bedtime. She kicks when she hears my two boys' voices and when my husband talks to her and rubs my belly. I will be getting the Rhogam shot next week (YUCK) at 28 weeks. I had my GD test last week. I think that time will fly now since I will be seeing the doctor every 2 weeks. I can't wait for the end of July to get here!!!!!

Hey! I'm having some of the same pains.. and in my hips too. I've felt it before but since yesterday it's been getting more noticeable. Another friend of mine on here asked about it at her last DR appt. and she said we are just preparing for the big day :)

Happy Mother's Day!

I just love that name Shelbie. How adorable! I'm naming my son Jackson but were gonna call him Jack. So what are you doing the nursery in?

I am in the same boat with the grooming situation. It's turning into a real pain, literally! I've just given up since my bf refuses to lend a helping hand. My legs aren't a problem yet though

missyny - Wednesday, 30 April
I saw on Babies R Us.com these Born Free Bottles that are BPA free. I registered for those.

cosmomama - Wednesday, 30 April
your grooming comment is so great! I was just telling my hubby last week that I can no longer shave down there cause I cant see it! Its getting hard to shave the legs too...at certain angles. Oh, and clip my toe nails. Wierd how my hubby was willing to help with my "grooming" situation, but not my "nail clipping" situation. aw, men, whatcha gonna do! Too funny though!

carolynjh - Wednesday, 30 April
Me too! I tried to wax myself when I was about 18 and I wound up having little bloody sores from where each hair was ripped out! Ow!!! Maybe a pro could do better? And I LOVE the name Shelbie Grace! I wanted to name this baby Addison Grace, but my hubby got to decide the middle name since I got to choose most everything else lol, we are naming her Addison Olivia :)

MommaD - Wednesday, 30 April
I wouldnt recommend the hubs helping you with the grooming. Mine did, I ended up with nothing!

becky468 - Tuesday, 29 April
lol your right i'm sure they have seen much worse.

aville - Tuesday, 29 April
why did you need to have three? your husband is RH+, right? do you need to have the shot for each pregnancy?

carolynjh - Tuesday, 29 April
Hahahaha! I was going to ask about that the other day and forgot, yes is it not going to be ridiculous trying to "groom"? And we still have 3 months left and summer! Ahhhhh! I have never gotten waxed but am seriously considering it-do you recommend???

tamian - Tuesday, 29 April
I have entered the bottle temple of doom as well. There are so many choices and everyone thinks that their bottle is the best bottle. And for every 90 people saying one bottle is the best 10 people swear it is the absolute worst bottle ever. I would suggest getting a few different ones (one of each) to see what your baby likes. They are very particular those little buggers and will just refuse milk from a bottle they don't like!

aville - Tuesday, 29 April
I can't bend over or put my shoes on either! I also go for my Rhogam shot this week. Any ideas on where they inject you?

blessedmom2b - Tuesday, 29 April
Thanks for your input on getting the shot at 28 weeks. that's what I thought. The nurse I talked to yesterday tried to tell me it was okay to wait until I was scheduled (week 31) but I insisted so they fit me in on this Wednesday :) No need in worrying that something bad could happen for a whole month! Congrats on your little girl on the way!!

I too was diagnosed with placenta previa. Mine is marginal. My doctor said not to have any rough sex, stop running, and stop lifting weights over 40lbs (I am a workout freak). He assured me with a marginal placenta previa diagnoses in the 2nd Trimester that 95-99% of the time when the uterus grows the placenta moves up. He stated that it will become an issue if the placenta is still low after 32 weeks and will change the fact that I can not have a vaginal birth only a planned c-section. I am scheduled to go in for another ultrasound May 21st which is the 1st day of my 29th week to re-check. IMHO - if you were not asked to change your behavior and you have not experienced bleeding/spotting than you are good. You would know if it was bad if they put you on bed rest or told you zero sex for the rest of your pregnancy :)

tamian - Tuesday, 15 April
Hey there,
Do you know if it is just low lying, partial, marginal or complete? If it is complete, which is what I have, it is less likely to move, but still capable of doing so. If you have marginal or partial, there is an 80% change it will move. When were you diagnosed with this? As it is very common form women to be diagnosed with this at around 20 weeks.

As your uterus expands the placenta will not remain in the same place. Think of it as a balloon and although the placenta does not move on the balloon, as the balloon fills up the area the placenta covers will change.

I have traveled to several countries with it and it has been no problem. I have now been told by my doc no sex or strenuous anything. If it is still there at 28 weeks then the restrictions will become greater.

The issue is that if you go into labor you cannot have her vaginally. So chances are you will get her three weeks early via c-section and will have to take the last portion of your prego very easy!

Keep me posted!

mumofsix - Tuesday, 15 April
Sometimes the placenta will move out of the way before birth, mine always has but mine was only partial previa. The main issues that arise with previa are that you cannot deliver vaginally and will need a c-section. This is due to the plalcenta covering the cervix. They may also take baby a little earlier before you go into labour as the risk of haemorrhage is greater so they keep a closer eye on you. If monitored well and you are aware that if you have any bleeding you should go to the hospital to be monitored straight away then things should be fine. It's more of an issue for those that are unaware they have previa and then at birth it can cause complications.
Lets hope yours can right itself.

MelisaK - Tuesday, 15 April
I had a friend who had that. She has a beautiful baby girl. She was eventually put on bed rest but everything turned out fine. I hope everything comes out ok!!!

cathymays - Tuesday, 15 April
hi i read your comment about the placenta previa i had this with my 2nd pregnancy they told me at my 18wk ultersound and by the time i was ready to deliver my placenta had moved its self far enough out of the way to my cervix that i was able to have a vaginal birth so dont worry to much i didnt have any problems with the condition the only thing they told me was not to lift over 5lbs because of the fact that the placenta is on top of your cervix and can cause bleeding if to much pressure is placed on it soooooo good luck and worring wont help anything

MelisaK - Tuesday, 15 April
Hi! I was just checking on you. Did you say last week that your heart was beating fast? Thought I would see how you are doing! And to say I can't wait for it to warm back up!!!
