My partner and I have been together for over five years (with about a one year break somewhere in the middle) and are now actively TTC. I am trying not to get my hopes up that it will happen right away, but do hope it happens in the not to distant future. We both have a child from previous relationships. My daughter turned 8 in March and his son is 2 and is with us only part-time I injured my back in January of 2007 and was on a surgical wait list for what seemed like forever. I finally had my back surgery in the end of June and can now start TTC. I have been off birth control and have been taking pre-natal vitamins and maintaining a really healthy lifestyle since January 2008, in hopes that we would get pregnant after my surgery and recovery. I have had one other pregnancy that was in May of 2007 and it resulted in an early miscarriage. I was young when I had my daughter and never realized how difficult TTC can be. I hope that we can do everything right, and won't have to wait too long to start a family together. Best of luck to all others TTC!!

I never had signs of O. So you are lucky in that aspect. Definitely don't ignore this time..LOL...
i made it to the Dr. okay. It all went very well!! yeah :-) I got to see the "bean" and she said she saw the heartbeat. Its just a relief. But I go back in two weeks and will get another ultrasound to make sure everything is still going good. I'm excited now!

Hey- i just started af yesterday. 2 days early for me. I cried like a baby. I have horrible cramps with this af. I felt like I was gonna be sick a couple times. Its probably cause I am soo stressed out with all this. How are you? I think I am gonna buy the OPK this time around. Have you ever done it? I obviously am missing the window so I want to know exactly when I am ovulating. Just dont know how to use it hopefully its not difficult.LOL! Have a good day-

Sorry to hear af showed, I am wishing it will happen for you soon. I have vowed not to test early this month too, I'll just wait as well. I've tested every other month, so it will be a challenge. We went away for a week last week, stayed in a lovely unit by the ocean and just relaxed so I hope that did me some good! Time will tell...
It would be good if you could hold work off until the new year and get pregnant first, that's what I was hoping to do but it didn't work for me, so I understand what it's like. I hope it works that way for you.
I think I might get back on facebook, I'll let you know when I get around to it!

Hi April,
I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to reply. Please don't think I've been ignoring you, it's just that I wanted to write a decent reply, not just a few words, and I haven't had the chance to sit down and do that until now. I was on facebook ages ago, but I found I was becoming addicted and spending way too much time on the computer (a bit like this site!) so I deleted my profile. I'm thinking of starting up again, I'll see how it goes. Are you on facebook? It seems like just about everybody is.
Well, I'm on about day 18 of my cycle, so I have about a week and a half until I discover whether this has been a successful month or not. If not, then I will give it a break for two months just so I don't have another baby in August. Although I feel like I would be cheating myself by not trying. If we didn't have Adams daughter who was born in August and it was just Sarah, then it wouldn't matter so much, but three kids in August would just be too much of a strain financially with birthdays all at once, etc. I really hope this month is my month, but don't we all hope that every month?! What about you? Are you at the end of your cycle about now? I've been keeping my fingers crossed for you. How is work and rehab going? Work is alright for me, but I would still rather be with my little girl, that will never change (maybe until she's in highschool!)

hey! well before i had my first son, i had a m/c, so when I got pregnant again, I didn't think much of a m/c happening again. Then when I had my second I didn't worry about m/c but I did wait until 12 wks cuz of the risks. But since I've had 2 m/c this year i'm definitely hesitant. But I think if everything looks good, I might tell a few people because I'm excited, especially since its been a long time coming! today i had my first episode of sickness at work. Yuk. Thankfully, I made it to the toilet. I really hate this part, but its a good sign!

wow you are strong, I hope I can last until Friday (but I am thinking Wednesday! haha). You certainly got lots of BDing in - very impressive, I bet your partner was a very happy man ;) This is our first month of trying since the latest m/c (I have had 3 now, no children). Each time we have TTC, I have fallen pg in the first month so I am hoping this trend continues and my luck changes with the m/cs.
