Hello All!

My name is April.I turned 26 years old in April (LoL).Well my love and i found out we were pregnant on March 19,08.It was an appointment for an annual that day.I knew i could get pregnant but did'nt know so soon,we had just started trying on Valentines!I had already taken 3 pregnancy tests and they were all negative.The last one was 2 weeks before my appointment (so i guess it was a little too early).When the doctor told me my results,i was :shocked,happy,nervous,scared!I'm sure as you all were (LoL).Then to top it off she gives me a papsmear right after that,which i had been dreading...So i'm laying there uncomfortable and all i could think was-Oh,My God,I'm pregnant and at the same time HURRY UP AND FINISH PLEASE!I could'nt wait to call Roel and tell him the news.I was very emotional and he calmed me down just like i knew he would,so supportive,my love...So ever since that day our lives have changed and we are just so excited to meet this little person that we have created and that God has blessed us with...

MARCH 26,2008:

My first doctors appointment,but just a meet & greet today since my insurance has'nt come through yet.Met my doctor,she's so sweet,thank God.She checked for a heartbeat but I was too early(about 6 weeks).Next appointment is in 4 weeks!!!

April 23,2008:

My second doctors appointment.Today Roel went with me,he took the day off work.I was told at my last appointment that we would be getting our first sonogram today.Not happening!Turns out they only do sonograms on thursdays,today is wednesday! :( Well Roel ended up leaving cause i was going to get a papsmear and bloodwork done and he would pick me up afterwards.Well,right after my exam,she checks for the heartbeat and finds it!Oh My God,i am so excited and very sad at the same time because Roel had already left :( She said my belly feels about 12-14 weeks.She also gave me a new prescription for pre-natal pills(i had already been taking over-the-counter ones).We are scheduled for our first sonogram next week(thursday).So today made me one super-happy mother-to-be!

May 1,2008:

Our first sonogram today!We saw our Lil munchkin with our own eyes...The sonographer was pleased to see our baby was VERY active :) It was pretty hard for her to get a scan of the heartbeat because it would'nt stay still.I started giggling with joy.My uterus is large and my baby is tiny-which means my baby has plenty of room (for now) and everything is just fine.Well i am 11 weeks & 3 days today and my due date is November 17,2008 ;} I am praying that the results from my bloodwork are just fine.I will find out on my next appointment which is in 4weeks...

June 4,2008:

My 3rd doctors appointment.Today was really quick.I got to hear my baby's heartbeat,which my doctor said sounded "fantastic".I'm growing at a good rate.She gave me my results from My blood test and i am relieved that everything was negative and just fine.Wheww!So then i went to get more bloodwork done but this time it is for my BABY,to check for any birth defects.I have to have faith and i know we are in God's lovely hands.We are so excited that we will be getting our sonogram next thursday.Can't wait to see our baby.I hope it is moving and growing,that's all that matters.Maybe we will find out what the sex is!I thank God that everything has been going smooth so far.I consider myself "lucky" at this point in my pregnancy.I love baby Eli or Araceli,always...

I've always heard that every pregnancy is different. As long as you are feeling the baby move, even though it may not be very active at this point, you shouldn't be worried. You can ask your doctor just for reassurance but I think you are ok. I have a good friend who was about 6 months pregnant when she felt her baby move. The reason being is because she is a PE teacher and very active so she was always moving around, never sitting still, so the baby was pretty cozy with all that. The only time she felt him move was when she was real still. Not sure what your normal activities are but if you are one that's on the go all the time, your baby may not move as much. Let me know how it goes. I'm almost 5 months and I'm just now starting to feel some movement and small kicks but not alot and this is my third child. I honestly think you are fine.

Eli is a cute name. We are going to name him Noel Anthony. Noel because he is due on Christmas and Anthony because its my husbands middle name so something gets named after him other than the last name. His family does jr's but... Im not really into that. I think everybody needs their own identity. My daughter lover the BIG SISTER glitter. She is soooo excited. She been asking for a sibling for 4 years. this kids are gonna be 7 1/2 years apart! So Im gonna have a little helper. That will be nice

Lola will not leave him alone! She just wants to be with him! We had to put him in his own little area so that he could sleep cause she wouldn't leave him alone! It was so cute!! Hopefully Lola learns to let him be. Thanks Apple for our new addition to our family!
