Mike and I have been married for two years. We decided to start our family, and were amazed at just how quickly it happened! We are both extremely excited and can't wait to meet our little girl.

Sunday, 30 Mar Hey, I just read that you were induced because your fluid was low. Do you happen to know how low it was? At my last Doc. appt. she said mine was low too and if gets much lower she would have to induce. It was 8cm, but I go back tomorrow to have it checked again. pargy -

Saturday, 1 Mar Good for you to still be going. I am just too big and tired. I was no good anymore for the kids. Your right the subs will probably be more useful to them @ this point. I needed to remind myself that I had a human inside me and it wasn't from eating too many hamburgers! LOL! I feeling sore and some pains now and then. I kinda don't wanna go early because I don't want to go back to work any earlier then needed. Right now I figure its time for me because in a matter of 4 weeks or less...it will be for my lil baby! I can't wait tho...just preparing mentally and physically is what i'm doing right now :) Well am truly glad to hear you are doing good. We are almost there! Wow! Take care bobbieh -
Tuesday, 26 Feb How are you doing? Do u still plan on working up until Spring Break. I didn't last. I'm going off this week. My little first graders are sucking the little energy I have daily. Plus I feel huge and ready to bust! Yikes! Curious on how you are doing. Hopefully well. collsbaby -
Saturday, 23 Feb Thanks for your post about the baby washing question. I think I'm just going to use the Tide too. So far over here I can't find the Tide HE free and clear. (I'm in Hawaii and it takes a while for stuff to catch on over here and they only have regular Tide HE at Costco so far.) But I just decided to use the regular Tide for the baby too. I don't want to start doing all these weird things that I might not keep up with, ya know? Especially since we're gonna be doing a TON of baby laundry!! I do my hubby's uniform stuff separate from everything to because he's a Harley mechanic and I hate the smell of the gas! SO I do his stuff separate even from my jeans and stuff! Dirty husbands! haha! But we love em! :-) Thanks for your comment! startingoverat37 -
Wednesday, 20 Feb You are welcome! I guess after enough kids I just do not worry about all these new found things that will cause harm. I wonder how babies lived in the old days with all the things that people are so freaked out over now. Good luck with your last several weeks.... 1stbaby0308 -
Tuesday, 19 Feb I'll be using a bumper too. I'll only remove it if she ends up being a really active sleeper as she get's older. shenah03 -
Tuesday, 19 Feb expecting 1st baby. using bumper. still trying to figure out why tummy sleep is more dangerous than back :) (i feel back is worse) oh well, more questions for doc i guess :) startingoverat37 -
Tuesday, 19 Feb I alwasy had bumper pads and will use one again. To much hype with things these days. I will remove it if later I think she could harm herself. But she will be lying there in the center of the crib. nienna -
Tuesday, 19 Feb I just have to say that I'm completely with navywife. I used a bumper with both of my daughters and they were fine- (and I plan on using one with this baby too!) It finally came off when they were old enough to start pulling on it. I think it's entirely up to you if you use one or not. Don't let anyone ridicule you and just do what you think is right. navywifemomof3 -
Tuesday, 19 Feb I used a bumper with both of my children and obviously everything was fine. It drives me crazy when people tell me old wive's tales or the newest 'what not to do with baby' stuff. Just go with what you know and what you want to do. Obviously make sure the bumper pad is tied tightly against the crib in a double not so it won't come off, but I would still use one if that is what you prefer. I remember how adament everyone, including doctors, were about babies sleeping on their side to prevent sids. So both of my children slept with one of those things that keep them on there sides. Now they are wayyyy against that and say they need to be on their backs. Give me a break already..lmao. I have just decided to do the same as I did with my other two. I just nod my head at people and smile, that try to give me any advice. startingoverat37 -
Thursday, 14 Feb Our babies will be here soon enough and then our tummys will recover. It would be interesting if we had a window to look in at them and see what it is they are doing when they start stretching and poking. Good luck. Irishbaby1 -
Tuesday, 12 Feb Hiya and thanks for your reply. The things us ladies have to go through - lol!! I have an ante natal appointment this friday so I am going to mention it to the doc then just to be safe, but it is reassuring to know that I am not the only lady this is happening to and hopefully it will turn out to be nothing more than just another pregnancy symptom. Thanks again and take care. babyonboard1 -
Saturday, 2 Feb yeah see thats wha i was worried about, that my doctor didnt seem to care much, i mean i dont mind if my little girl wants to come a little early, but i want her to be healthy, and i want my doctor to take my concerns serious, i guess i'll ask her next time if i should be on some kind of medication.
do you know if your cervix was still closed, or beginning to open?? mamakim -
Tuesday, 29 Jan Thanks for the advice! Bobbieh -
Monday, 21 Jan hi there! Thanks for all the info. Wow! Sounds like you have it covered. I am trying not to stress about the pay until next month. I've learned my lesson about disability insurance as well. Didn't find out about it until now...when its too late to get. I guess you have to get it and not get pregnant for 10months! This pregnancy wasn't planned...so I didn't look into all that. But like you, I will purchase it next year...for future leave. Well hang in there and know I feel your pain. It's difficult to teach children not pregnant, and especially hard when you are. Take care and happy preggo days! navywifemomof3 -
Tuesday, 15 Jan If you can work up to your due date, do so! I graduated last semester and am now a SAHM and I am goiing out of my freakin' mind..lol. I wish I had something to keep me busy during the day!!! The next two months is going to be like 6 months for me! Have a great day! bobbieh -
Tuesday, 15 Jan First let me start off by saying 'Congratulations!' I like you can't wait to have my lil blessing. Looks like we share some things in common...both teachers, trying to work as long as we can. Doesn't the maternity leave suck for teachers, pay and disability wise? How is it in Saint Louis? Any different then over here in Los Angeles. I'm due March 24th and I'm trying to work up until my Spring Break, which is March 17th! Yikes!!! I know...we will see. I teach first grade. What grade do you teach? How are you feeling teaching and being pregnant? Ttysoon...take care. proudmommy2 -
