i have to agree with the other ladies here.. i am appalled and incredulous that anyone would say such a thing about a 6 month old baby. even if it were true! however, looking at these pictures of your beautiful boy a have a hard time believing that anyone really saw anything like that. is it possible she was making that up aboit other people saying stuff from looking at photographs? ridiculous!! your little guy is very handsome, and if he does indeed have a "lazy eye" it doesn't seem like much of a big deal, as i certainly cant see it!

 Handsome boy!

I'm so annoyed on your behalf of how you were approached about your son maybe having a small issue with his eyes. Your son is gorgeous and I think his eyes and smile make him even cuter. Maybe he does have one eye that slower than the other - - but I certainly can't see it - - PLUS he's only six months old. You can see in the pictures that he's tracking things with his eyes because he's looking in different directions. I know my pediatrician checks that Maggie can track things, so I'm sure your doctor has checked his eyes.

Well meaning parents, grandparents, family and friends can get you insane. That's why we have each other on the site. Hang in there! :-)

I think I once wrote to you that I think you have one of the most beautiful babies I have seen. Well, I completely stand by it - he is a stunner! Lazy eye????? I think that people who say that have their own eyes too lazy to notice what a miracle he is.

HI There, I just seen your message about exzema, have they checked for food allergys if he is formula fed. My daughter just went through the same thing and it was milk protein allergy. She now has to use hypoallergenic formula that is $27 a small can:( BUT the rash went away the very next day after changing her food. Just a thought. Good luck!!!!

hey ladies!! I NEED ADVISE!!
ive been thinking about going back to school...
as some of u know right now im working in a dr's office..im a medical assistant.
i always figured ohh id go back to school to be a nurse or whatever.
but as ive been working there, right now ive been working at the front desk so i go thru charts alot and stuff. and i always find myself really drawn to the ultrasounds.
and today it dawned on me!!!! ultrasound tech!!! i dont know much about it..although the school i went to for MA also offered an ultrasound tech course and everything. not that i would go back to that school but i know a little about it from friends and thats actually where i met my ex bf and he was in that class.
anyway...i wanted to know what u guys think about it and if u know anyone who is an ultrasound tech.. how much they get paid and stuff like that?? thanks ladies! hope ur all well!

My 6 month old gets bad eczema on his cheeks to the point it's fiery red and weeping. I've done a ton of research online and believe the key is dietary. I've recently started giving my baby daily oral supplements of fish oil and probiotic powder. I also bathe him daily using soap free bath wash and a lanolin/paraffin bath oil, then I rub more oil on him while he's still wet. Since I'm nursing I also avoid drinking anything with caffeine. I also make sure only 100% cotton fabric touches my baby--no polyester allowed and absolutely no polar fleece, that inludes my clothes as well as his. Fingers crossed, he hasn't had a bad flare up for over a week, and I believe his last flare up was due to a new 'all natural and organic' moisturizer I tried on him that was supposed to be good for baby eczema that I later found out had at least 3 ingredients known to cause reactions in people with eczema! Talk about frustrating!! Good luck, I know how distressing it is to see your baby so uncomfortable. My heart goes out to you and your son. P.S. I also avoid anything with aloe in it.

Hi...I would try Aquaphor! I use it on my LO's mild eczema...but my nephew had more severe eczema and it worked just as well....give it a try!!

My 13 week old son has really bad eczema and my older children also had it. I just want to start out by saying it USUALLY goes away as they get older. But in my situation, our ped. told us the opposite of yours. He told me to bathe our son daily and within 5 minutes of getting him out of the tub lotion him up really good with the eucerin cream. He also prescribed triamcinolone (sp?) ointment. Yes eucerin cream can be used in the head, I do it all the time. I know what you mean, it can be really hard to deal with. You can never let his skin get dry. You have to constantly keep them lubed up with the eucerin cream or cream that doc give you to use. Our doc told us to use the prescribed ointment first THEN put the eucerin cream on. If you stop using it, it will come right back. With my other kids they finally grew out of it around age 3. My 4 year old still has a few dry spots from time to time on his butt. But I wash my son's hair every other day cause of the cradle cap. I use Selsun Blue and once I lather is hair (he does not have that much, he used to but it came out) and then use a comb to get all of the flakes out. Good luck hope this helps.

Pass it on, lol!

Oh, one more thing...this website has a great safety guide to children's personal care products that are less toxic and have fewer allergens...http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/special/parentsguide/EWG_parentsguide.pdf
