Hello and welcome to my page : ) My name is Ashley and I absolutely adore this site. The women on this site are wonderful. I am grateful to have had many enjoyable experiences on this site and have also received a lot of support.

Between my husband and I, we have a 13 year old son and a 7 year old daughter; they mean the world to us and we have decided to try and have our first child together. (We would like to have two more) I had a lot of complications while pregnant with my daughter. I was on bed rest from the 5th month on and ending up being induced at 37 weeks for high blood pressure/ preeclampsia. Halle was 5 pounds 9 ounces and 18 inches long. She was the most beautiful thing I have even seen and I thank the Lord daily she was healthy!

I am nervous about having another baby, mostly b/c I suffered a miscarriage at 6 weeks in 2007.(Chemical Pregnancy) I just want to make sure I do everything possible to ensure I have a healthy pregnancy!!! I stopped taking my birth control, started eating healthy, taking prenatal vitamins and have kept up with a daily exercise routine. We started TTC in July/August 2008.

It took us about 4 months and finally on Dec 26th I got a positive Pregnancy Test! We were so excited! I immediately made a Doctor's Apt and was seen Dec 30th to confirm the pregnancy with a blood test, which my HCG level was 174 @ 14DPO. I then went in for a 6 week check up on Jan 14th and was able to see the baby and heartbeat! On Feb 5th we went in for our 9 week checkup and was told the baby had stopped growing. We were then sent to the hospital for another ultrasound and it was confirmed our baby had died. The baby didn't progress past the 8th week. It is called a "Missed Miscarriage" it is a pretty rare type of miscarriage where the body fails to recognize the death of the unborn and does not simultaneously abort.

My doctor had hoped my body would pass the baby on it's own. After 5 days my doctor gave me medication to induce me, but unfortunately it did not work properly. I had a D&C done on Feb 10th, 2009. (Which was 10 weeks) After almost 2 weeks of bleeding, cramping, and a few trips back to the doctor, I was informed I would need a repeat D&C. I had a 2nd D&C on March 3rd, 2009. Now I am in the process of healing (physically and emotionally). My doctor told us we would need to wait 3 months and have a Preconception Visit before TTC again, so yet another countdown begins.....

We have decided to have our Preconception visit May 7th and as long as everything goes well, start trying again in June.

Everything went well at our Preconception Apt : ) We will start TTC again in June! (Ironically almost one year since we first started TTC)My Doctor believes there is NO damage from both surgeries and believes we will have no trouble conceiving, carrying and delivering a healthy baby! I am so happy!!!

We got a BFP today, Aug 28th, 2009. I am praying this one sticks. Conceiving doesn't seem to be the hard part for us, it is carrying the precious baby that my body seems to struggle with. I just want to get past 10 weeks and I will feel so much better! I know it is all in God's hands and he will take care of us and our little baby : )
