HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!

berly3039 - Saturday, 10 May
I went through the same thing a few years ago. I had a biopsy and it came back positive for dysplasia (precancerous cells) I had a procedure where they freeze off the cells. it's not that bad, the gross part is the watery discharge after the procedure. I've had a couple of abnormal paps since, but the biospies have come back normal. I wouldn't worry, it's very common to have HPV. Sometimes it can even go away on it's own. good luck, everything will turn out okay!

ashley...i have HPV too, found out 13 years ago and had some cells removed. It's OKAY! 75% of women have it, or carry it. It's totally normal. My OB Gyn said it's so common. Yes, there are lots of strains of it. It's very treatable though. My friend had the worst kind, and she is okay, it got treated and it never came back (the cells).
I got it from my fiance at the time. He had a wart on his finger! That was it, so annoying. I had no idea something like that could transfer this virus.
Good luck and don't worry so much.

I tested positive for hpv last year. I was so freaked out, the doctor told me not to worry about it. She said to go ahead and plan for the pregnancy and it wouldnt interfere. She said that sometimes it clears on its own. I took the test two months ago and its still positive and now my pap is abnormal. I have an appointment next week for the biopsy. It's scary but I try not to think about until I get the results back.

I had one abnormal pap 6 years ago, I too have HPV. I don't know what strain I have either. I don't currently have any external indications of HPV, and I didn't when I found out about it. I was advised to continue with my normal pap schedule, they keep an eye on things along the way. For me, my paps ever since have been normal. My doc did say there is no cure, sometimes it can go away, but not in every case. I am married, my hubby is very supportive. Good luck! Don't think the worst until it presents the worst. I know it's easier said than done, just try to take it one step at a time. They'll look at the cells, and evlauate the situation. I've found out that it's one of the most commonly spread diseases, with usually no symptoms. I wish I had been better educated on this issue before. I currently live a perfectly normal lifestyle, with no problems. Best wishes. Feel free to message me at my Vip. Take care.

My friend has HPV and has had a few biopsys done to remove and test cells, but she is fine and doesn't feel any different then normal. I know some can be cancerous, but please try to think positive. IT IS very common, just most people do not know that they have it. According to the commercial, something like 70% of women have HPV. Goodluck and just keep you head up!

I work in a lab that tests for HPV and trust me A LOT of people have it. I don't know if that helps or not but God bless you.

i found out I had hpv the month before I found out I was pregnant. :( I was really upselt looked up all the info and found out really it isn't that scary. Cervix cancer is the one slowest moving cancers, takes years to become cancerous from precancerous. So try not to worry.

momi08 - Friday, 9 May
I had that exact same thing happen a couple years ago. i was sooo scared, but it turned out okay. they did the biopsy and i had to have laser surgery, but it wasn't that bad at all. I had to have it a couple times and then everything was all better and has been ever since. It will probably be okay for you too!

karenc - Friday, 9 May
hi there - I am not hpv positive but several years ago I had an abnormal pap and had to have a cervical biopsy. it was strange (i got to see my cervix on TV... lol!!) and I was a bit sore for a day or two, but it wasn't awful. in the end, the biopsy was negative, so it worked out fine. hopefully, your biopsy comes back negative too -- hope this info from me makes you feel less nervous about the procedure. good luck & I hope everything goes well!

Addyson mommy - Friday, 9 May
I was diagnoised with hpv before the conception of my daughter, I was always having abnormal pap smears which is why my obgyn decided to do this test. My doctor says that it doesn't mean I will get cervical cancer it just bears watching a little more if I continue to have abnormal atypical paps. My doctor told me that approximately 1 out of 3 women have hpv most just don't know it. So try not to worry about it too much.

the sling works great !!! i got the wendy bellisimo one from babys ru us because its cushioned . Even my husband is usin g it because you can get stuff done around the house

Jo-Mama - Friday, 2 May
Have you tried wearing your baby in a sling? That way he's close to you (just like being held) but your hands are free so you can get things done. I'm using my sling right now. Yesterday I got all the laundry done by wearing my baby. She calms right down and doesn't cry when she'd in the sling. If the sling doesn't work for you, you can try one of the other baby carriers. I know that men like to wear the baby Bjorn type front packs. Maybe your husband will feel like he's more capable if he's got the baby in a pack.

Thanks so much!

babyintheoven - Friday, 2 May
You should start making your husband help you if you let him get off now what are you going to do the next time . My husband has taken Gavin to his best friends house to give me a break. They will be gone for about 3 hours. My baby is the same way screams all the time unless he's held eating or sleeping. Buy a baby carrier for you body he can go where ever you go and stays close to you where he wants to be bonus you'll have your hands free.
Good Luck with your husband he needs to understand it's his child and needs to help out too.

We are home from the hospital. What a ordeal. Very very scary! She is doing much better. She could not be released until she could eat again, be completely off oxygen and not have to have the vacuum cleaning out the mucus from her nose. SO we have to use the bulb to squeeze out her nose, breastfeed as much as she wants, and keep a eye on her breathing to be sure she is not struggling. Its more like a terrible cold now with a cough and congestion. I feel like I can handle things now though. I will be so happy to sleep in a bed after 4 days in a hospital. I am going to sleep as well which a foriegn concept at the moment. Thanks for the concern.

Ollie is nearly seven weeks and he's been exactly the same - acne (although not very bad) and colic. For the colic, have you tried Dr Brown's Bottles? They have worked wonders for Ollie. Before he had bad colic after every feed. Now I can get on with stuff because he lays happily in his crib watching himself in his baby mirror.

i took my little one to the dr turns out he has baby acne too! they dr prescribed us a cream and after only putting it on him once it started to clear up! the cream is pretty pricey though it runs about $152 for 2 tubes!

tashabena - Saturday, 19 April
hey about your sons baby acne. My son is 6 weeks old and he has it tol. some days its worse then other and i feel horrible as well. it looks like he was a allergic to someting but i guess not. all you can do really is wash his face good(do not scrub) and wait it out.

Steph1212 - Saturday, 19 April
My son is 6 weeks and has the exact same "baby acne" that you describe. It's all over his head, face, neck, and even shoulders. The Dr. said it's normal, even though it looks terrible!
