Sunday Feb 10th-After a long day and eating at the inlaws Brett and I came home and went to bed. It was like any other normal Sunday night. I didnt have any pains, felt GREAT, and was getting ready for another week at worj. Little did I know that our lives would be changing in a matter of just a few hours.

Mon Feb 11th- Brett has been working 3 am-3 pm for just a few days now while someone was on vacation at work. He left for work around 2:45, woke me up, kissed me, told Audree bye and out the door he went. I woke up @ 3:15 and needed to go potty. It was at that moment that my life was FOREVER changed. I had blood everywhere once I hit the toilet. I had no clue what was going on and didn't know what to do. I was scared out of mind and thought I had lost my angel girl. I called Brett and he quickly rushed home, got me, and off to the hospital we went. I was hooked up to monitors and was having contactions and they were getting closer and closer together. Audree and I were being monitored and both she and I were fine. The ultrasound tech was called in and she came into my room and started to check things out. She had a weird look on her face, but I never asked questions (i was too scared). She looked at things for about 10 minutes and just moved it all around. She walked out, walked back in and hooked me back up to the ultrasound machine. At this time I got scared and said what are you looking for? She said I noticed something stange the first time and I just wanted to go back and make sure it wasn't a contraction I was seeing. Well it was confirmed.......nope not a contraction but what she was seeing was blood. Dr comes in and says well your placenta is detaching and we need to get baby out now. I immediatley FREAK OUT and burst into tears. All I could think about it my baby and how I wanted her to be safe. They took me out of the room and left Brett to get dressed. I was wheeled into the OR and there were groups of people waiting to take care of me as well as Audree. The spinal was in place, I was laid down and less than 5 minutes later Dr K says here she is. Yep our angel was born at 5:57 AM, weighed 4 pounds and 13.8 oz,and was 18.5 inches long. She was crying, kicking her legs and her daddy looks at me and says well mom she is hear and she is beautiful. At that moment I scream over the curtain.... YEAH GET THIS... Does she have hair? Not is she okay! HAHA They quickly replied she has tons. I started to bawl and brett just held me saying how proud he was of me and our new life as mommy and daddy has started. I was wheeled to recovery while Brett was sent to spread the news to the family. At this point in time I was refusing pain meds, because i was scared I wouldn't remember anything and I wanted to take it all in. Brett finally convinced me to take some meds but it was just for the swelling. I was NUMB so I thought man this isn't so bad. HAHAHA Well around 11 that morning spinal was wearing off and I was changing my mind. I was faithful to that med every 4 and 6 hours. We had TONS of visitors, phone calls, flowers, etc. We were truly amazed at how blessed we were to have wonderful friends and family. I tried to get up and see Audree around 9 that night but it was not successful. They got me to the edge of the bed, stood me up and sat right back down. It hurt so bad and all i could do was cry. I felt HORRIBLE because I could not get the courage to try and stand up again. I called the NICU all hours of the night and they kept my up to date as to how she was doing. She is on a vent to help her breath but this isn't breathing completely for her. Since she is 32 weeks her lungs are NOT mature enough to where she can breathe on her own. She was given 3 shots to help them grow.

Tues Feb 12th- Well I woke up ALL NIGHT LONG with constant vital checks, medicine time, etc. I was resting pretty comfy for the most part but man things hurt. They got me up and out of bed by 8:30 AM. Let me just tell you I felt like all my insides were falling out when I stood up. I sat in the chair for a while and then off we went to the NICU to see my baby girl. I was very emotional when I saw her and I just cried and cried. I thanked God for sending me and Brett such a BEAUIFUL little girl and just prayed that he would take care of her. Dr came by and said how he was impressed with her progress and that was she doing very very well! We stayed with her the majority of the day and I could NOT rest unless I was with her. Brett and I just sat in there and talked to her, held her hand and told her how much we loved her. She is truely an AMAZING miracle and she is my hero. As for her vitals they are AWESOME! Blood pressure, heart rate, O2 was just WONDERFUL. They are doing what they call blood gases every 3 hours on her ad this lets us have an idea of how much she is breathing on her own. She started out breathing 70% on room air, we breath 20%. By night fall she was breathing 40% which was AMAZING!

Wed Feb 13th- Audree had her first blood tranfusion today. They had let us know beforehand that she was anemic possibly due to all the blood I lost before, during and after delivery. Aunt Emily (Bretts sister) was a donor and helped give our little one some blood! I cant remember the exact CC amount but it was given to her over a 8 hr period. The nurses and Dr said that she was doing SO MUCH BETTER after she recieved all the blood! Her color was better, her levels went up, and she was just feeling better overall. As for her blood gas today she was breathing @ 29% Her vent setting were lowered and she tolerated the changes very very well. Dr came by and said she would possibly be off the vent and to a cpap by tomorrow but it was just depend on her body. I want her to be off of that vent but at the same time I want her to be safe and healthy!

Thurs Feb 14th-Well Dr came by and said I was being D/C today :o( I was super duper sad and it was pretty emotional for me. I couldn't imagine the thought of going home without my child. I cried of and on but God gave me the strength to pull through this. I spent ALL day with her and we finally left @ 6:30 pm until 8 so they could have shift changes. In the midst of all this I COMPLETELY forget it was Valentines Day!! Audree and I hadn't bought daddy anything because well we thought we would have time!! Daddy had a BIG flower arrangement sent to our room and fed us some GREAT chocolate!! Brett bought me the sweetest card from him and Audree. It was my first VDAY as a MOMMY AND a WIFE! Her daddy bought her a teddy bear to sit her in her crib with her and I think she liked that A LOT!! The nurse took her shades off so we could see her little eyes for a minute. She OPENED her eyes and looked at us. It was the most AMAZING moment in my life. Our little girl was starting at us!! Brett got so excited and was so damn cute with her. He was waving to her, touching her, telling her how cute she was, etc. I just cried and cried because it was such a blesssing. It made our day to see her little eyes staring back at us! As far as her settings today.... she is still on the vent. O2 levels were a little down but they had lowered more settings on the vent so this was expected. She handled the changes well and we can only hope and pray she continue to do so.OH and she made momy a poopy diaper.

Feb 15th- Well i just got home from seeing little miss audree. So far she hasn't done to hot today but hopefully that will change when her daddy comes to see her this afternoon! O2 levels went up to 62% but she is still on pretty low settings so she is just having a little trouble adapting to the changes. Well her daddy and I went to see her again this afternoon and she opened her eyes for us again. My God its the most AMAZING thing Ive ever experianced. To look down and see your own flesh and blood staring back at you, its truly love at first sight. She tries so hard to get her little eyes open and she follows my voice! She is no longer ANEMIC (whoo hoo). Blood cultures are back and she does not have any infections so that is GREAT! She is still tanning under the lights and will contine to do so for a while.As of tonight around 10 her O2 levels were down to 55% so that is great!!! Pray that we are off the vent and onto the CPAP soon!

Feb 16th- Well I called to check on little miss tooter this morning around 5:30. Her O2 levels were down to 45%!!!! We breath room air @ 21% so she is halfway there... She has one more setting to go on with the vent before we can get that off. The nurse said she had been really comfy all night long. I can't wait to go and see her today! Well I called @ 1 to check on her before going up to the hospital and SHE IS OFF THE VENT!!! She is now on a cpap machine, which means she is breathing COMPLETELY on her own. She is struggling a tad bit with it but just keep us in your prayers that they will NOT have to put her back on the vent! Her CO2 levels have been a little high but they are trying to get them down. She gets suctioned out really well because she blows a lot of spit bubbles (yeah shes like her mommy). She seems like she is resting really really well thoiugh.

Feb 17th- Well we called to check on little miss tooter bug and she is doing GREAT! Her CO2 levels are 50 (remember we dont want it over 60) and her O2 was 31% (remember we breath 21%). She is still on the highest seetting on the cpap which is a 6 but she is doing great!!! Niurse said she is just hanging out and resting very very comfortable. Its amazing to see her at 6 days old and 8 weeks early doing so well. I just got home from visiting and WE GET TO HOLD HER TONIGHT!! They also lowered her vent setting from a 6 to a 5 and 4 is the lowest. She will also start breastmilk today @ midnight! IM SO HAPPY. Well we got to hold our angel tonight. I must say it was the most AMAZING feeling Ive ever experianced. It has been 6 whole days since she was brought into this world and it has been so hard for brett and I to sit back and not be able to hold her. To finally be able to comfort her when she cried, rub her back, hold her hands, my God I will never ever forget this. We get to take her out 2 times a day for 30 min at a time. She is doing so well and tolerating all the changes they are making to her. They also weighed her and is down to 4.6 but thats okay she will start picking it back up.PLEASE keep us in your prayers she keeps doing well so we can bring booger butt home soon.

Feb 18th- Well we called to check on angel girl this morning @ 5:30 and she was doing great! O2 was 23% (remember w are 21%). Said she was sleeping and resting great. At 10:30 I went to the Dr to get my staples out and everything looked great they said!! I went to see little tooter and they were taking her CPAP off!!! She is now on a nasal cannula with O2 going through it but her face is CLEAR of TUBES! They also increased her breastmilk feeding from 5 CC to 10 CC every 3 hours.She is doing AWESOME!!! They also took her light off her because her jaundice is gone!!!More updataes as they come. Well we went to visit our angel last night and she looks better and better every time we go. Daddy got to change his FIRSTpee pee diaper. He was a little scared but he did great! I got to hold her while daddy fed her. HAHA That sounds weird huh? She is fed through a syringe right now so they pour the milk in, hold the syringe up and in it goes to her belly. She still weighs the same as of last night but hopefully shell start packing on those pounds! We are getting to hold her longer and longer each day due to her progressing so well. She is truly a little figher and I think she is ready to come home

Feb 19th- Called to check on booger girl and she is doing WONDERFUL this morning! Still asleep, she is a sleepy sleepy little girl, but the nurse said she had a GREAT night! Well we just got home from seeing little tooter bug.. They have increased her feeds from 10 CC to 15 CC and she will possibly be off her nasal cannula tonight. She is no longer under the heating lamp and she gets to wear CLOTHES!! WHOO HOO Im so excited. She is doing WONDFERFUL!!!Well............ WE ARE OFF OXYGEN!!! Yep the nasal cannula is out so all she has in is her feeding tube. Once she learns how to bottle feed that will kbe taken out! Its just the most AMAZING feeling in the world to have her off of everything and to know she is doing this all on her own! God is a miracle worker!! Thank you for all of your prayers and support! Well we just got home for the night and Audree was having 2 tiny set backs... She was having trouble keeping her body temp up, so they put her in a LS preemie outfit with a hat to see if that would help her keep it up. The nurse said its because she doesn't have any fat on her but as she keeps gaining it will get easier. Her oxygen kept dropping (like to 88%) off and on but she also had a full belly, remember she got bumped up to 15CC's of milk! She is now weighing 4 lbs 6.8 oz. So they are going to watch her for a few hours and if she continues to desat then she will go back on the cannula. BUT its not a HUGE deal, she was just taken off the heater and O2 this afternoon. Nothing life threatning either so we are okay with that. Of course we only want her to take steps forward but if she has to have a set-back we want the minor ones like this. Just keep praying for her, its working

Feb 20th- Well daddy just called to get the morning update on Audree Loo. They did have to put her back under the warming lamp because her body temp was 97. SO yep she is a naked girl again, the clothes were cute while they lasted. The GOOD news was once she went back under the warmer, her oxygen went back up to 97 so we didn't have to go back on that!! So that was super duper exciting. The nurse said the more she eats the better she will start maintaining her body heat. She doesnt have any fat on her so that makes it a little harder for her to keep it up. She is doing GREAT... Well got home from my morning visit.... SHE IS OFF THE WARMER again, so lets hope she continues to keep her body temp up. She is back in clothes for now.. Also we got BIG News that today @ 3 she will take her FIRST bottle!!! Im so excited and can't wait to get this moment on camera! Her milk was increased from 15 CC to 20 CC's and tonight she will go to 25CCs!! This will be her first test to suck, swalllow and breath all at the same time. Keep your fingers crossed she does well!!! If so mommy and daddy get to feed her tonight @ 9! I also asked nurse Kaci when she thought little tooter could come home. I said well mommy's bday is in 12 days and she said ITS POSSIBLE it could be BEFORE that!! Keep your fingers crossed. Well Audree Loo took her first bottle and she id GREAT! Took all 20CC's and kept her oxygen sats up... After that she had a blow out and mommy had to change her poppy diaper. WHOA BABY was it a POO POO diaper. We got her all changed and back into her clothes. Mommy got to hold me for about 2 hours then daddy got there and i got to sit with him. Stay tuned for her weight update

Feb 21- Well we called on little princess this morning and she was doing great. She passed her body temp test and is now in a BIG girl bed! She did lose 10 grams but her daddy blamed that on her HUGE dirty diaper. HAHA HUGE HUGE HUGE NEWS!! The Dr talked to me this morning during my visit and SHE MAY COME HOME MONDAY!! They will take her IV out tomorrow, then she will take her first bath, and jusdt continue to grow. As of right now she is bottle feeding every other feeding and i even get to try to breastfeed tonight! KEEP US IN YOUR PRAYERS SHE COMES HOME MONDAY!!! Well she didn't do so hot for me and nurse Kaci at the 3 bottle feed. She took 20 of the 35 CCs. She just forgets to suck and swallow but that is okay for her age. Ive been getting in the swing on how to change her dirty diapers, what her little faces mean, etc. She did dirty ANOTHER outfit! Geesh WOMAN already making mommy wash alot of clothes. Daddy got to do the 9 o clock bottle feed. He didn't know really what to do so mommy took over halfway through. She got down 28 of the 35CC's so that was better. Nurse Jessica will give her the 3 am feeding so lets hope she gets all 35ccs down! She has to bottle feed every feeding before she can come home. Nurse Jessica said she couldn't beleive care by parent could be Sunday, she thinks it may be a little early but she said she has surprised me thus far. Just keep praying she gets the hand of the bottle. She is bottle feeding every other feeding. SHe will get her first bath tomorrow and mommy and daddy get to help out Oh yes and she lost more weight.... she just wants to be a skinny minnie I think!! She is down to 4 lbs 5.6 oz. She was born @ 4 lbs 13.8 oz. BUT they said since she is bottle feeding it takes a little bit more energy to suck, swallow and breath on her own so its expected.

Feb 22- Daddy called to check on Audree this morning and she is still doing WONDERFUL! She ate GREAT for nurse Jessica this morning, YEP she took all 40 CC's of milk! She has to keep up the good work so she can come home. I will go to bottle feed with her @ 3 so hopefully she will cooperate with me! We are so EXCITED about her first bath today!! We will have pics up later.. Well.............Dr says we are probably not taking her home Monday. She isn't taking her bottles as well as Dr Wheeler has planned on her taking them. She ust loves to be LAZY and not eat for us. She will have to start gaining a little more weight since she has been losing too before she will be released. She was put on some iron meds this morning and she will prob come home on those as well until she can get that fixed. Im bummed and upset, but I would rather her stay there and get better. They said it probably wont be too much longer maybe end of next week. Im hoping by Sat (thats my bday). Well little tooter didnt want to take her bottle for her momma today @ the 3 oclock feeding. She is to drink 45 CC's and she only took 20 for me, the rest went through syringe. She also decided she didn't want to keep her body temp up anymore so we couldn't do the bath. I swear she is such a woman already! HAHA We will try and breastfeed tonight @ 9 so keep us in your prayers!! Well we DID IT!! We breastfed for the first time and she did great! She took 10 CC of milk and latched on pretty good. It was kind of weird but at the same time it was a special bond. NOBODY else can provide for Audree but me in a sense. Brett and I just stared at her and she stared back looking at us. It was LOVE!! HAHA SHe then took another 18 CC through the bottle before she pooped out on us. We did weigh her and she is up to 4 lb 7.6 pounds. She has gained 2 oz since yesterday so that is good news for us. She just has to get that bottle thing down. They want her to get down atleast 35-40 CC before she can home EACH feeding. Just keep us in your prayers!!

Feb 23- Audree took 35CC of the 45CC's this morning for nurse Renee. NOt bad but we are trying to get her up to ATLEAST the 40 mark each time. When I called to see how her 9 am feeding went i was a litttle bummed. She only took 28 CC's and the nurse said she was desating into the 70's. THIS IS NEWS WEVE NEVER HEARD! She always keeps her O2 up while eating, so Im a little down. Yesterday was a VERY hard day for me. I just cried and cried everytime I looked at her. She has hit so many milestones and is impressing everyone but I guess I really get my hopes up on bringing her home Monday. I know she is in a GREAT place with WONDERFUL people taking care of her, but Im so tired of going up there. You wouldn't think a 5 min drive to a hospital and just sitting in a chair would tire you out but boy i am. I think my emotions have just gotten to me and its hitting me. I know she is okay but we just want her home. WELL.....Audree is just going to have a BAD day I guess. Ive been up there for 6 hours straight and its really starting to hurt me. SHe keeps droppig her O2 and it kills me to see that. Everytime we fed her she would do it. Dr has discontinued her bottle feeds for the rest of today....She will just be syringe fed. They think she is having acid reflux so that could be a HUGE factor. They did some xrays and things like that so we will just have to wait and see. We aren't allowed to hold her as much as we have been because they think she is just getting tired and worn out. Ive cried and cried today. Seeing the love of my life just sitting there and I can't help her is the hardest thing Ive ever had to do. I know she is in the best hands POSSIBLE and they will take care o her and they are doing a GREAT job. Im just worn out and I think some sleep will do me good. Just keep us in your prayers.

Feb 24- Daddy called for his daily 6 am check up call. She was doing good, resting great, had a few little episodes last night but nothing major. I just called to check on her ( 10:30am) and the nurse said they did order some more blood for her due to her levels being a little low. She is already on iron medicine because her count was a little low. Im hoping that this is why she is being "lazy". It hurts to know that she is having to have all of this done again, Im just hopng this isn't major steps backwards.I went to bed last night and just prayed to God for him to continue to give Audree the strength he has given her to pull through this struggle. I know she will have her good days with her bad, but as a mother its hard to see that. I love that little girl more than life itself and I would DIE for her. I just dont want her hurting because then i hurt. Just contiue to pray its working. Well tooter is still doing good, its just when she eats her heart rate drops a little and her O2 goes down, but the nurse said she is doing WAY better than yesterday. She brings her sats up on her own pretty quickly VS yesterday it was taking her awhile to get them back up to normal. Her blood transfusion was started @ 11:39 and will be completed in 4 hours. I asked why she was having to have another one and she said because she is early and a preemie her body can't produce them on their own like our bodies do. MAKES SENSE and made me feel better. She is getting htere just one day and one step at a time. We just got home while they are closed for shift change. She looks SOOOO MUCH BETTER than she did yesterday. During her 3 o clock feeding I dont think she desatted at all. I got to hold her from 5 to 6 and she didn't drop at all. The nurse practioner said she is doing TONS better from yesterday so I think she just needed that break we gave her. They did another ultrasound on her brain yesterday to follow up with that small bleeding they saw and they said its nothing to worry about. Remember its on a scale of 1-4, with 4 being the worst meaning disabilities, she barely got to a 1. NOTHING to worry about and its not active bleeding. The nurses have been great with her and me as well. They give me that strength I need to keep going. They are so warm and inviting and they truly love their jobs. Ill get a weight update tonight.... She may lose some though because they gave her a lasix (makes her potty) since she got the blood transfusion. Dr Wheeler comes back tomorrow morning so im gonna have to have some words with him. As soon as he left she took steps backwards... HAHA I said im blaming it on him. Were home for night and Audree kept both her heart rate and O2 sats up during her 9 o clock feeding. They also weighed her and she weighs 4 lbs 9.4 oz so she gained just a tad bit from last night. Only 4 more oz til we are back up to delivery weight. She is just so adorable and loveable. Tonight when we were leaving I told her that her mommy and daddy loved her so much and she was our world. I told her to keep being strong, to say her prayers and mommy and daddy would say theirs for her. At that time she opened her eyes and smiled at us. I swear she knows exactly what we are saying to her. She looked at for a few min and then closed her eyes and went back to sleep. Our daughter is just asolutley the most AMAZING thing Ive ever laid my eyes on.

Feb 25th- Daddy did his routine call this morning @ 6 and she was sleeping as USUAL! She did wonderful through all her night feedings and the nurse said she was just resting. I did the 9 am call and of course lil audree loo was asleep! HAHA Maybe she'll do this once she gets home too. Her FAVE nurse Amy was taking care of her today. She said she's been great, Dr hasn't been by to see her yet though so ill have to give that update later. She said they are thinking she will get a bath today so IM SUPER DUPER HAPPY about that. Shes kept her body temp up for enough days in a row but we will have to check with the Dr first. I called this morning and got an okay to go back to halfdays at work. I want to save my time for when she comes home!! Well Audree has been doing good. She got to go back to her bottle feeds but they are starting her slow just 2 a day. She took the first one and drank ALL 45CC!! We will do the 9 o clock feed tonight when the unit opens back up. She got her FIRST bath and it was so cute. She cried at first but then realized hey this isn't so bad. She was so cute in that little tub of water!! Well BIG news in Audree world.... she is now weighing a whopping 4 lbs 12.2 oz!! She gained 3 oz overnight She took 30 cc's from the bottle for us tonight. This chick is the HARDEST thing Ive ever tried to feed. She just lays limp in your arms, we tickle her, rub her feet, rub her hands, undress her, massage her chin and NOTHING happens! I swear this girl is rotten to the core. I go back to work part time tomorrow so wish me luck! Thanks for your prayers they are working !

Feb 26- Well we called tooterbear and she took 40 cc out of the 45cc's at her 3 am bottle feed! GOOD NEWS!! At 9 am she took 42 cc of the 45 so lets hope she continues her trend and does well for momma @ the 3 feeding for me. I went back to work today for halfday and it was a NICE change! Of course I still called and checked on Audree Loo every 2 hrs! HAHA Im off to go see her now ! Audree is now moved to every bottle feed and she HAS to take atleast 35 of the 45cc in order to come home. Dr Wheeler said POSSIBLE care by parent tomorrow night with her home Thursday but I think its more like Fri or Sat. REMEMBER our goal is Sat for my bday!! She did GREAT at her 3 pm feeding but ws LAZY AGAIN at the 6 feeding. Well the weigh in for tonight was 4 lb 12.6 oz so we gained a tad bit since last night. They syringe fed her at the 9 o clock feeding so hopefully she will be WELL rested for the midnight feeding. She is doing great, made another stinker diaper for her daddy to change! HAHA I love it!! He is so good with changing the diapers but he makes the funniest faces. Tonight she was smiling the whole time he was changing it... yep weve got T-R-O-U-B-L-E on our hands already! Just pray she gets this whole bottle thing down

Feb 27- Well my daughter once again likes to be lazy. Last night her oxygen kept dropping so they put her back on oxygen. I was upset this morning after they told me, but I took a step back and said okay this is her just saying hey mom im really not ready to go home yet. She did take 35 cc of the bottle @ 3am and then another 42 @ 9 am. Dr hasn't been around to see her yet but its like everytime we say okay were going home she takes a step backwards. Well I got just home from the mid-morning/afternoon session with her. When I got there they had pulled her O2 off to see how she was doing and she didn't do too great. They put it back on her and I had another mommy breakdown. I went into a seperate room and just cried and cried and prayed to God to please take care of her. I called Brett and he told me I needed to be strong for Audree, that I shouldn't be in a room crying, I should be with her, she needs me and him right now and if were not strong, she wont be either. I dried my tears and went out and gave her a big hug and kiss and told her how proud I was of her. It was time to bottle feed so i kept my fingers crossed she would do well. SHOCKER!!! She took all 45cc's in about 10 min. she wouldn't even let me take the bottle out to burp. Now most of you know we have been STRGUGGLING to get her to take atleast 30cc within 25-40 min. I was so excited and just told her how proud i was of her. Maybe she is just telling us hey I can bottle feed mom and dad, but i just can't keep my oxygen up at the same time so she showed us with oxygen she was good to go. I know it takes time and she should still be baking for 5 more weeks. Im so proud of her and everything she is doing. I know they say take 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Well Audree OFFICIALLY FED ALL BOTTLE FEEDS from 6 am this morning to 9pm tonight. I did 3 of those 6 so we are getting the hang of it. We are SO SO SO SO SO PROUD of her! I know its hard work being this little and eating all at the same time. She did have a TINY weight gain tonight and it up to 4lb 12.6 oz. All we need know is for her to get her oxygen back on track and we will be good to go! She is learning.....Just please pray

Feb 28th- So far so good with Audree Loo! She took the 12, 3 & 6 feeding for the nurses. They did try to wean her off the oxygen but she didn't do so hot so they turned her back up to 25%. She is only 4% away from normal room air but I guess she is still needing that extra lil boost of oxygen. She is doing GREAT, mommy & daddy are just so proud of her and the bottle feeds. Well we have gotten the 13th bottle down in a row. Sometimes it takes a little work for her but we get her to do it! One thing she is doing is POOING A LOT!!! I swear every diaper is a poo change. SHe can stink you out of the room, she must have gotten that from her daddy because mommy smells like roses! HAHA They tried wheening her off the O2 again and she did okay for a bit but then she decided she wasn't ready again. Everytime we say the "H" word (home) she goes wacky on us. I did tell her today Audree I know you love these people and nurses but I WANT YOU HOME! THEY DID NOT GIVE BIRTH TO YOU! HA she is SPOILED rotten by them. They are giving her some milk foritfier now in each bottle feed which gives her like 2 extra calories per ounce to see if this will help her gain a little more weight. I love just sitting there with her rocking her and looking into her big blue eyes. We talk, pray, laugh, and most times just sit and stare at each other. Its so AMAZING how such a little person can fill your heart and life with so much joy ad happiness. I never thought it was possible to love something so much in my life. Im complete, Im whole, Im in LOVE, she is my world! I dont know what we ever did without her to be honest. When its time to wake her up we have a wake up dance we do! YEAH WERE DORKS but she smiles everytime we do it. I just grab her hands, and she holds onto mine and i move them up and down and sing to her! Well tonight Audree decided she didn't want to hold her body temp anymore...EITHER THAT or she wanted to be a naked baby again. They put her back in a warmer to help her out. She did have a HUGE weight gain... LADIES IN GENTLEMEN IN THE NICU WE NOW PRESENT AUDREE BUECHEL WEIGHING IN @ (DRUM ROLL PLEASE)................................................4 lbs 15.6 oz. YEP she is past her birth weight and almost a 5 pounder!!

Feb 29th- Well little miss thing is still in a warmer and she took her 12 am, 3 am & 6 am feeding great. I did call her at 9:30 to see how she was doing while I was at work and they broke the news to me that they had to go back to feeding her through the tube. Audree was breathing too fast this morning and they said she was just acting like she wasn't feeling too well. They turned the amount of oxygen she gets up to 33% but the rate it flows out at is still the same. When I got there @ 12 I had my little breakdown as usual because she had the tube in her mouth to get her feedings. She was pretty restless and the nurses think she is trying to come down with a virus. They did swab for RSV & FLU but they came back negative so thats a plus. Her xray this morning looked a little hazy but nothing too bad. They said she is acting like a preemie but they also think she is trying to get a litle sick. She isn't as playful and peppy today which breaks me to pieces but i know shell have her bad days. Well we went back to see tooter bear tonight and she honestly looks better than she did earlier today. They were able to turn her oxygen down to 27% and it seems like she is tolerating it pretty well. Her breathing is getting better and not as fast so hopefully thats a good sign that bottle feeds are coming back. The Dr did say by the way her leukocytes looked she was trying or is coming down with a viral infection. Of course when its viral there is nothing you can do but let it run its course. She had a HUGE diarreha diaper tonight and went through 4 diapers while we were there. They said its a good sign in a way she is having that because she is expelling it from her system IF is a virus. Dr Wheeler is having them do a MRI tomorrow just to make sure nothing is crazy that they haven't caught. Im hoping its just viral, she doesn't feel good and thats explaining why she is cold and just being blah on us. BUT like i said she looks better tonight then earlier today. OH AND BIG NEWS WE NOW HAVE A 5 lb 1.6oz BABY!!! Yeppers Audree Loo gained weight so im super duper happy!!

March 1- Well little miss thing is just hanging out this morning. She is eating well (you know she is being fed through the tube for now) and having plenty of bowel movements! HAHA She is resting great and not so restless like she was yesterday. Im still trying to get over her weight gain she had I mean she is a 5 pounder...She is getting so big! SHe is still on 27% oxygen so that is good and she is keeping her sats up. Im hoping that since today is my bday she will have a GREAT day for me! Well the MRI came back showing nothing so that is good and her chest xray was still the same. They did take her out of the warmer and try her back into a big girl bed but it didn't last too long. She decided it was too cold out here so she went back under the warmer. She did gain a little bit and is now up to 5 lb 2oz. Shes getting to be our little chubster... Audree & Daddy bought mommy a new camera for her bday so we got lots of new pics of the angel girl!!

March 2nd- Well miss thang is just hanging out today! Dr hasn't made his rounds yet so there are no new orders. Nurse said she has just been a sleeping baby al morning, IMAGINE THAT. Well tooter got moved to an isolete tonight so she is now back in clothes. This is the in between step from the warmer to the open crib. Dr Wheeler thinks she is getting cold and thats why she is dropping her oxygen so he is hoping this will help. The isolette is like an enclosed case with a little heater in there but it also makes her work a little bit to hold her body temperature. She was all kicked back in there and it was her own little home. Im just glad to see her back in clothes and not being a naked baby anymore. HAHA She is on the lowest setting of oxygen 1/4 liter and her pressure is at 33% and remember we breath 21% so we are almost there just she needs that little extra boost of help. She now weighs 5 lb 3 oz so she is packing it on and we are now 19.5 inches long (shes grown a whole inch!!!). They said once she starts gaining more then she will be able to hold her body temp better.

March 3- Called to check on miss princess and she is doing great. SLEEPING as usual the nurse said. HAHA She said she is actually the only baby I have today that is behaving, GO AUDREE LOO! As usual Audree was sleeping when i got there. HAHA THe nurse said well mom do you notice anything? I got SUPER DUPER excited, she is OFF THE OXYGEN!!! We didnt tell Audree though because we didn't want her to realize it was gone. She has dropped into the upper 80's but brings it right back up. When we left a little after 6 she was anywhere between 94-96 so keep your figer crossed she can keep it up! She was getting a blood transfusion because her counts were low, but this could be why she couldn't keep her oxygen up and why she was getting cold. Just pray this is the answer for our angel! Well she is gaining weight like crazy now... she is now 5 lb 4 oz! GO AUDREE... So far she still hasn't realized she is off the oxygen lets hope it goes that way!! Her oxygen when we left was 98% and they said that she has been GREAT

March 4th- Sorry for the late update but i stayed at work later today than normal then went to see audree. Still of the oxygen so thats GREAT news! She had been sleeping most the day with great sats, then mommy and daddy walked in and boy she came alive. She was kicking and stretching, opening her eyes and smiling! AWE it was like heaven Dr Wheeler is letting her go back to bottle feeds every other bottle so we did the first one @ 5:30 this evening. She did AWESOME.... I was scared that she may have forgotten how to suck and swallow haha but nope she proved us wrong. She was even satting 100% at one point in time, i was so proud of her. She tok 39 of the 45 cc's NOT TOO SHABBY for the first day back in a week.

March 5th- Well tooter bug took 35cc of the 45 cc's at her overnight feedings. She is being syringe fed every other feed. She had a wonderful night and slept good as usual! Her Nonna (my mom) was visitng her @ 12 and I decided I would let her bottle feed her. She did great and took all 45cc! Once I got off work I went to see her and got some good news. She is now BOTTLEFEEDING ALL FEEDS AGAIN AND WE MOVED UP TO 55CC, almost 2 oz! She took all of it for us, she took 30 for me and then she got lazy so miss nurse valerie took over and she got her to take it. Dr Wheeler said well see how she goes and hopefully she'll be out of the incubator in 48 hours or so. Well we just got back from the 6 o clock feed and she chugged all 55ccs in about 10 minutes. We were all amazed She did so great and kept her sats up into the 90's!! Weigh in tonight was 5 lbs 4.4 oz...Keep us in your thoughts

March 6th- Well Audree is becoming one little eating machine. Took 50CC's at her midnight and 3 am feed and 55cc at her 6 am feed. She only took 43cc with her day nurse at her 9 am feeding but when mommy got there @ 12 she was ready to suck it on down She took the whole 55cc's for me @ 12, 3 and the 6 o clock feed. Weight gain here we come.. She now has a clean face as they took her feeding tube out WHOO HOO im so excited we can see her face her ENTIRE face. Her oxygen has been staying up but man she loves her new little home. I call it her castle you know because she is a princess. They are trying to wheene her out of her "castle" and into an open crib again but in order for that to happen she has to keep her body temp up which yes ladies and gentlemen we are still struggling to do that. I asked the nurses why she was doing that or if she just needed to gain more weight and they said she should be holding it now, so im confused Its just my kid being a little stinker again, YES were in for T-R-O-U-B-L-E when she gets older. HAHA Well were off to go back for her 9 feed... Audree took all 55cc's again!! WHOO HOO and we GAINED WEIGHT and we now weigh 5 lbs 7 oz We are also now in a BIG girl bed!! Yeppers we had her out for 45 minutes and she kept her body temp up and it was 98.8 so they will continue to monitor it for the next 3 hours and if she keeps it up they will keep her in it!!! KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS SHE KEEPS HER BODY TEMP UP

March 7th- Well she kept her temp up all night long. So she is still in her big girl crib! She took all her bottles and when i went up for the 12 feed Dr Wheeler said IF she keeps her temp up and continues to eat well care by parent Sunday and go home Monday. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray Audree does well Well took all her bottles for us today GO AUDREE GO AUDREE She now weighs 5 lbs 8 oz so we are halfway to 6 pounds. Her body temp last check was 98.8 so we are keeping it up so far. She has offically been in her big girl bed for 24 hours so we are on our way. Im just hoping and praying she keeps it up so we can bring out little angel home. Its been almost 1 month since shes been born and im so ready for her to be in our home instead of the hospital! March 8th- Well Audree is still taking all her bottles, of course she still has a few desats and a little dip in her heartbeat but she always brings it back up. Dr Patel saw her this morning and she said she would feel more comfortable watching her for one more day to ensure she is holding her temp pretty well, so plan is monday night care by parent and come home tuesday morning. We are ecstatic but still being conservative because weve already tried this 2 times now and weve failed both time. Its been 48 hours since audree was out of the warmer and she has held her temp very well. She also had a HUGE weight gain overnight... Ladies and gentlemen............ 5 lbs 13 oz..YES little miss piggy gained 5 oz in 1 night I was SHOCKED!!6 lbs here we come.... When we left her for the night she was satting 100% so lets keep up that good work. Prayers are working
