Hi to all moms and moms to b on here. I love this site! This is our first baby so everything is new and exciting (scary) to me and everyone is so good about answering all my questions. Just hit 17 weeks and really starting to feel the baby move and I can't wait for the hubby to feel it move too. I'll update more later and check out my polls and thanks to all those who posted on them with so many great ideas.

Mar. 13 - we went and booked the hall for the baby shower today. My mom is slowly starting to take over my shower though. The woman is CRAZY she has this big notebook full of what food to make who's going to bring what food wise (my poor aunts said they would help I don't think they know what they are getting into) but so far she's had nothing but great ideas and she's paying for most of it so I'll put my foot down when i feel i need to.

Mar. 17 - Well just got back from the OB's and I'm starting to get a little pissed! This is like the 4th time they've changed my due date on me. First is was the 20th of aug. then the 24th then back the the 20th and now the 22nd. I really wish they could make up their minds for once. But on a good note she said everything was looking great and now I'm just waiting to hear back from them with my next u'l appointment to find out what I'm having. I hope everyone has a good St. Patty's Day!!!!!!

Mar. 19 - Well the past couple days have been really rough. My grandfather passed away monday night. I'm glad I got the chance to go up and see him on Sunday though. Still haven't heard back from the OB about my ultrasound and I don't know how much longer i can wait. I just want to find out what we're having and I want to see my little one again. However on a good note my best friend had her little girl this morning. 7lbs 3oz I can only hope to be so lucky lol. So now I'm waiting for the hubby to get home so we can go up and see them.

Hey. Thanks so much i will remember that Friday when she go's back. She is in pre-school and go's 3days a week and i kept her home today. Thank GOD she didnt get that stuff. I will deff do that though. Thanks again!

Oh my lord!!! I have started nesting, too! The baby's closet is all organized with what little I have so far. I'm waiting on the crib and changing table, but the spots are cleared and ready for the move-in. I bought a shelf the other day so I could organize. I just want to clean and organize everything! But I'm so tired that by the time I'm finished I'm a fat, sweaty, smelly mess with throbbing feet.

first i wanted to comment about the umbilical cord only having two vessels. the baby could be smaller at birth due to decreased nutrients getting to the baby. the cord has two arteries which supply nutrients and one vien to take the waste away but when theres only one theres concern about whether the baby is getting enough. don't sleep on your back for any reason!!!! the uterus can actually lie on our big vein and artery in our stomach and reduce flow to both the baby and your heart. try the left side its the best. i would just keep yourself educated about this and ask the MD if there is anything else you can do. you can look up SUA (single umbilical artery) for more info. I saw one mom had it on a birth show and her baby was perfectly fine. they usually tell you worse cases to cover them. good luck.

In regards to your post... I too sleep find my self sleeping mostly on my back. I wouldnt be to worried about it untill you get much further along or when your having trouble breathing because of all the weight on your chest from the baby. Hope this helps.

Hi there i ve just read ur comment about sleeping on your back. I too find that i keep waking on my back. I was reading up on it as i was a little worried, and its more towards the end of your pregnancy that you shouldnt sleep on your back, something to do with the nerves at the bottom of your back. Hope this helps chick xx
