Hey Everyone! My husband and I are expecting our first child in August...We have been together since 1999 and married since March 2006. We are both thrilled and can't wait for our little boy, Maddox Michael, to finally be home with us. My husband comes from a HUGE family of almost all girls (he has 5 older sisters)...and feels like he has won the lottery with this boy!!

I work full time in a parts and technical service support position for an international corporation and my husband has 10+ years in the Army (19 Kilo).

I hope everyones pregnancies are going well, and the time keeps zooming by. Its not too long before we will have our little ones at home with us once and for all.

o right, no they didnt mention anything like that, just said he is about 5lb 6oz, they didnt seem concerned or anything its just the response iv had from ppl at work etc who all say that is huge so i got a bit worried! :-S! suppose i wil have to wait and see! xx

mommynicolem - Monday, 7 July
Yeah, big AND breech, then you're definitely getting a section! Have you discussed external version with your doctor? I think that's what it's called...where they try and flip the baby around. Thing is, you have to be close to term since it can cause you to go into labor...

MrsBandBabyB - Monday, 7 July
I have that same pain!!!! I don't know what causes it, the only thing I can think is the baby is pressing on a nerve or something.

mommynicolem - Friday, 4 July
Wow! You're tall! I'm 5'3", so I have no room anywhere for Evan to be. He's everywhere, including sometimes working towards my back. If you little boy is big, then deal with it. He is what he is. But, before I had a section for nothing other than weight, I'd make them make sure he's huge and isn't going to fit. That is, if you really want a vaginal delivery.

soon2Bmommyof3Amy - Friday, 4 July
Why couldn't they just induce you earlier and let you have him/her vaginally? I mean, unless you've had a c-section before, or you just opt for one, why would they say you have to have one? I don't get that. I would ask them if they couldn't just induce me when they were putting the baby around 8lb's or over and go from there-I don't see why your doc would jump straight to a c-section?

mousin - Friday, 4 July
Hi, im the same. im 33 weeks and my scan showed my baby is 6 pound 3 oz. but two weeks before the scan showed she was 4 pound 7oz, so thats a big leep! my son was 8 pound 8oz but im worried now as they say babys put on 1 pound a week from now! so im looking at a 10 pounder plus! there scaning me again in two weeks so il just have to wate untill then. my doc dont seem worried about the size. but said if i want he might induce me at 38 weeks.

My friend just delivered a baby... they told her he would be 10 lbs. The baby was 6 lbs 1 oz and everyone bought her really big clothes... and nothing fit. I would wait closer to the time the ultrasounds arent always 100%

Beeccii - Friday, 4 July
no problem! Glad to help.

mommynicolem - Thursday, 3 July
Depending on the tech, the ultrasound could be off by a good pound or two. But, do you have gestational diabetes? If you do, then it probably was more accurate. And, since I don't know what you look like, I don't know whether your hips will handle it. But, 10lbs can be delivered vaginally, if you have your heart set on it. Otherwise, don't worry about it and know you will be meeting your son in 4 weeks, whether he's 10lbs or 7lbs! :) And don't worry about having a baby at 37 weeks. Mine was a 37 weeker and he's just fine!!!

cartersmommy - Thursday, 3 July
I got an ultrasound yesterday and my baby is big too! But not as big as yours. Maybe the baby will slow down with its growth rate or something... and ultrasounds can be off. :)

Beeccii - Thursday, 3 July
Hey-- u/s tend to run a little high at times. They arent always accurate when predicting your baby's weight. Don't stress out too much just yet. =]

Dustyrose001 - Thursday, 3 July
sorry, whats a temp agency?

thepar - Monday, 30 June
I'm the exact same way! I've been having the headaches and my husband can't understand why I don't want to take Tylonol. I figure that if I can deal with the pain, I should rather than take a drug to deal with the symptoms. He just doesn't get it!
Thanks again - I do feel alot better. I don't usually get freaked out about stuff, but it did kinda scare me this morning - so thanks again for your reassuring words!

thepar - Monday, 30 June
Thanks so much August! I think I just needed to hear that someone else had it done and survived... Thanks for reassuring me!

bekaray - Thursday, 26 June
Hi!!! Did you get my voice mail the other day? I'm just craving some blue berries!! =)

Week 32! Almost there mama. I'm going to be in Daytona with the family all this week making decisions, which I will fill you in on when we talk soon, but don't hesitate to call!

I MISS YOU!

bdecker - Monday, 23 June
Its good to know I am not the only one feeling these pains. Thanks so much!

havingadamsbaby - Friday, 6 June
Thank you!! I know what you mean about coming around to the name because even my mom at first was like Nikki don't do that to her!! But the more she thought about it she liked Stella and was very honered to have a grandbaby names after her. She has 3 grandaughters already and the thought of naming them after her never really apealed top my brother or sister. Every time I hear the name right now I think of the movie Stella gets her groove back!!! LOL!! I hope that goes away!!! And I love the name Maddox I think its really cute!!!

bekaray - Friday, 6 June
It went well. I have another on Monday, but I don't think I want this job... it's not on campus and I just don't think I would like it. I do, however, have an interview on Friday of next week in the Economics Department at UGA!!! Fill you in later. How you doing?

nich-vegas-mommy2be - Monday, 2 June
lol :) after the crib incident, I was voted out of helping with the changing table :) I am feeling the pain today too - who would have thought just an hour on the floor could be such an ordeal! My feet were swollen HUGE by the time we finished, and still are sore today too! But it's not like we could have left them to do it themselves!! If your husband is anything like mine - A: it wouldn't have gotten finished, B: he would have ignored the directions and the finished product would NOT be a crib or changing table, or C: after looking at the directions, he would decide that he still knew how to do it better... :)

nich-vegas-mommy2be - Monday, 2 June
Isn't it crazy? I mean, we have the furniture put together, bedding on it, clothes hanging up - but it almost feels like we are making a baby room display or something! It's still hard for me to picture a baby in the clothes we bought for him! I certainly FEEL pregnant, but the reality of pregnancy=BABY just isn't hitting me quite yet, lol! How did it go for you putting together the furniture? I was helping with the crib and somehow got my elbow through one of the slats!!! My husband had to take it back apart to get me out!! lol!!!

bekaray - Thursday, 29 May
HI!!! I was just thinking about and though you are off doing out doorsie things this week, I still wanted you to know I was thinking of you. Talk to you when you get back.

bekaray - Wednesday, 21 May
Hey I talked to my mom, so she could educate me more on what it is you are going through.. . she told me to tell you, nicely and with caution, that you should get a copy of your medical records and have them with you when you go away next week. Just to be on the safe side. Just so you know! =) Ultrasound day! Let's hope there is just one in there~

bekaray - Monday, 19 May
I had my first doctors appointment today and my first ultrasound on Wednesday... sigh...

Elle - Friday, 16 May
yeah he just turned 21 and his friends are taking him out drinking. I can't decide if I want to see vegas one or the new narnia movie. if I had the choice I would see both tonight just so I had something to do while he was gone.
