HE'S HERE!!!!!

Kaden Bryan was born on June 20, 2008 at 5:59 am.

He weighed 6 lb 14.9 oz and was 19 1/4 in long!

I went to the dr on the 19th and she told me my fluids were low again so it was time to induce! My heart was so sad. I was so afraid of induction and not being ready and ending up with a C-section. Well I went home and got my stuff, husband and ate dinner and said bye to Kollin and then went to the hospital to start the cervedal (sp) to RIPEN my cervix. I was scheduled to start the pitocin at 7:00 am. At 10:30 the stuff was inserted and I start cramping about an hour after. (oh I was 3 cm dialated and 50% effaced -2 station) I thought i was being a pansy so I didn't say anything. Two hours later I had horrible pain and pressure. I had dialted to a 4 by that point. Remember....this is supposed to just RIPEN not start labor. My doctor came in and said that if I get too uncomfortable to take it out. Well at 1:30 I said if I can't sleep by 2 I'm going to get a pain shot to help me sleep. By 1:42 I had four contractions. I called the nurse at that point and said this is bad! She took it out and I was diated to 5 and 80%. I got the shot and it didn't do a thing. My doctor came in and could not believe my contractions. They were constant. I couldn't catch my breath between the two so she ordered something for them to slow down! That was around 2. As much as I did not want it I asked for an epidural. I said I can't handle this!! I had no idea how long I was going to be like this but I just knew that the shot did not work, I felt everything and I hadn't slept at all. My doctor was even massaging my back and make me more comfortable. My parents did not go to the hospital because we were told pictocin would not start until 7! When the anesthesiologist came in he thought I was already receiving the pitocin because I was in so much pain. I thought I could do it without like I did my first but man, I couldn't!!!! Thank God I got it!!! It changed everything. I was scared but happy!

Well around 3 I was checked again and i was a 7. The nurse said that it was time to call my parents. They came up around 4:30 and I was checked again at 5 and i was 10 cm 100% effaced and he was down and ready. WOW!

i pushed a couple of times so the nurse was sure and he moved so she called my doctor. Because of the stuff that they gave me to slow down the contractions they were coming every 5 minutes or so so we had to wait for them! It was funny...

So I pushed for 3 1/2 contractions(my dad didn't know I was pushing and walked in so I stopped that's why it's 1/2) and out he came!!!

It was AMAZING! He is amazing! God is amazing! I just thank God so much for my little guy!!!!!

I didn't tear at all (I did with my first) and I feel great. My milk came in today and I'm totally engorged but know he is getting lots of goodies from his mommy!!

June 11

Today I went to the dr for my 37 week apt. She did an exam and I'm over 1 but not quite two cm dialated. I"m totally fine with that as Kollin is having his tonsils removed in 5 days! I really have planned on being there and did not want Kaden to come too early. My fluids were not so good at first today and then were good by the end of the ultrasound...weird! I guess she found a really not so good pocket and a really good pocket and his bladder was full.

I am having contractions which kind of excites me and makes me nervous. I thought I was having them but wasn't sure and after being monitored for 40 stinkin minutes and watching the strip I realized those lines going up and down were contractions. DUH!

Until next week, I plan on being preggers!!!

May 22

What a crazy day. I had my 34 week dr apt today. She did an ultrsound AGAIN because my fluids have been low the last two weeks and she wanted to check. Well my dr felt they were low again so she sent me to the hospital to be monitored, to get an iv and to get another ultrasound. While there for 4 hours I did all of the above and they said my fluids were perfect! At 32 weeks they were 7, at 33 a 9 and then today between 7 and 9. The hospital radiologist said 13!!!! I guess what they'd want me to be at is 12. After all of that everything with Mr. Kaden looks perfect. They think he's 5 lbs 3 oz already! He's not going to be little!

I go back again on Tuesday for a re-check. So much for going everyweek at 36 weeks. I'm starting at 32!

March 19

I'm now 25 weeks and had another check up today. Everything looks great. I feel fat but the dr said I'm fine. I just don't want to gain as much weight. I know I got it all off once but i'm afraid this time won't be as easy! We'll see! We registered last night at Babies R Us. We just don't need as much so it didn't take very long!

We have a dilemma regarding the bedroom and furniture. We still have a couple of months to really figure it out but it'd be nice to do now.

I'm on spring break and it's nice to be off with Kollin. You would think I'm getting well rested but I'm not. We've been so busy doing things around the house that we wouldn't otherwise do.

February 17

It's a BOY! Kaden Weitzel is his name...We're super excited and can't wait to watch Kaden and Kollin grow up together!

This picture is my 20 week ultrasound and it's definitely a boy!!!

The ultrasound was cool. Both of my parents were able to be there and my dad has never seen one so he was excited. My 20 week apt was also the same day and they said everything looks great. The heartbeat was 164. There goes that old wives tale. The ring test was wrong and the needle test was wrong! The chinese calendar was right. I'm really starting to feel him move around a lot and I love it! I thank God for this child and just pray he is healthy!!! We can't wait to meet him. Only 20 MORE weeks!

February 4

Thought I'd start putting my updates at the top of the page so you don't have to scroll all the way down. Nothing new going on really except yesterday I felt an actual kick. I'm almost 19 weeks. So it seems about time. I've felt flutters off and on but there were 5 definite kicks yesterday. Too bad I haven't noticed them today. I think I was paying attention more because I had a tummy ache the day before. Who knows....

Less than two weeks until we find out what our little flower is! I'm thrilled. For some reason I'm saying boy....My husband says girl. That's because he wants a little girl! I can't believe it's already half way through. If I remember correctly it's the end that seems to drag on because all the exciting first things are done.

My belly is definitly sticking out. My jeans no longer fit. I think I wore them for the last time last week! Darn! I feel funny in maternity clothes though! Well that's all for now! For sure i'll have another update in two weeks!!!

November 2

My husband and I found out we are expecting baby number two after being a 'week' late. I'm not really sure how long my cycle was so I say a week loosely. I've had one cycle in 2 years because of getting pregnant with my first and nursing him for a year and then being on BC. I didn't become 'regular'. So needless to say, my doctor said it was time to get control back of my body then we can try to get pregnant. Well I had one period then missed the next! SURPRISE!
I haven't been to the dr yet. My apt is on November 30. I'll be over 9 weeks then!

This is my third pregnancy. Unfortunately the first one was short, I lost the baby between 7/8 weeks. Then I got pregnant with my baby boy 10 months later! I had a great pregnancy other than the fact that I gained 45 lbs. My labor was 24 hours. I was given Pitocin and they broke my water and I finally pushed that baby out!! I didn't have an epidural and I probably won't again. I did it once, I can do it again. I promise myself I will wait to go to the hospital this time. I went WAY too early and it wasn't as natural as would have wanted the process to go!
I have a boy, it'd be great for him to have a brother but would love to have a baby girl!

November 17

I guess I'm 7 weeks. I feel fantastic except for the tiredness! I am so tired! I have a hard time keeping my eyes open in the middle of the day! I'll be glad when I'm past this! I guess being pregnant hasn't sunk in yet since I haven't been to the doctor. I went to Motherhood with my friend the other day who is 20 weeks and I felt silly being in there. It was an outlet so I got a couple of tank tops for the summer baby!!

I went to the dr yesterday and she said the baby looks great. The baby was measured to be due on July 3 but ms day is July 4. Pretty close. The heartbeat was 180!!! That's really fast! Could it be a girl??? We're hoping. We took Kollin with us and probably won't anymore. We just wanted to be together for the moment we saw the baby and heard the heartbeat. I think it made it so much more real!!! Well I'm off to take a nap! I'm super tired still. Other than that I feel great.

I had my second check-up yesterday. Everthing looks great. We got some really cute u/s pictures. When I get a chance I `ll put them up. So busy with the holidays and in-laws visiting! The heartbeat was 170bpm. She showed between the legs and there was nothing there but it `s so early to tell. I have to wait until Valentine `s Day to find out the sex. I `m really in no hurry but it `s fun to know and to start thinking about! I `ve had a rough week with getting a cold, having a sinus infection, ear infection and pink eye! Thank goodness I `m on Christmas break!

12 Weeks....I can't believe it!!

Monday, 21 Jan I went to the dr today and everything went fine. The nurse found the heartbeat right away, exactly where she put the dopler. The HB was 158. Still high I guess...my next apt is Feb 15 and then my us is also that day. She said I can get it for earlier but not to cheat and wait until I was 20 weeks. I thought that was funny! I found out much ealier with Kollin. I think I was 18 weeks. Actually I found out today but two years ago! =) I actually wanted to do it on Valentines but we have parties at school and I didn't want to miss the party with my kiddos! I figure I might as well take part of the day off at least and do both apt the same day. My belly is already getting big. My dr told me not to worry and my weight is good for now.
