I'm the proud mommy of a 6 yr. old little girl with Autism and a little boy due in June of 2008. My husband and I were married on July 20th, 2007. On Oct. 1st, 2007 we found out that we are expecting and in January 2008 we found out the baby is a boy. I can't wait to meet him!:D

The details:

In 2000 my b/f and I decided we wanted to have a baby so we started trying. Like everyone we thought it was going to to be a breeze and were very optimistic that a yr. later we would have our child. WRONG! A yr. later we were still trying to get pregnant and the yr. had thrown us some curve balls. I was having problems and wound up at my OB's office after dear Aunt Flo was a no show a few times and I kept getting negative tests. I found out I wasn't ovulating. So in May 2001 I was started on Clomid. July 9th, 2001 Aunt Flo was over a week late, I felt horrible and we were 2000 miles away from home (we were on vacation visiting his mom in CA). I just knew something was wrong when my breakfast wouldn't stay down. I tested and and to my surprise...PREGNANT! WooHoo! In February of 2002 4 1/2 weeks early our daughter, Autumn, was born.

Fast Forward...

Autumn's biological dad and I didn't work out and split up just before her 3rd birthday (2005). That's when I started dating Jessy. Jessy and I decided after 2 yrs. of dating that we wanted to try and give Autumn a little brother or sister. I went in to my dr. in April 2007 and talked to my dr. about starting the clomid again. She did some tests (bloodwork and u/s) and found that I have PCOS. She okayed me to try with the Clomid again since I had great success the first time. I started the beginning of May.

2 months later, Jessy and I were married. He wanted to adopt Autumn and the biological father agreed to sign the papers. So we moved forward with it. After 5 months on the Clomid, on October 1st we found out we were...Yup!... PREGNANT! We were very excited to finally be starting our family. On October 26th the adoption was finalized and Autumn was now Jessy's daughter. It was a very happy time for us.

In January of 2008 we went for an u/s and found out we are having a boy. Autumn attended the u/s with us and got a big kick out of seeing the baby on screen. She is really starting to grasp the idea that there's a baby brother in my ever growing belly and she can't wait. (I can't either! LOL)

So now here I am just sitting around counting down the LONG days awaiting the arrival of my son. Will the day ever come?
