So I think it is time that I update this profile. I haven't felt like doing much to it but it is time to start new I think. My name is Lisa and I am 29 years old. I have been married to a wonderful man for nearly 10 years! He is my best friend, my lover, my support and I am so blessed to have him in my life!

We have been pregnant 5 times and had 2 early mc, 1 ectopic that ended in the loss of my left tube, a mc at 14 weeks where baby's heart stopped at 12, and a chemical pregnancy. We are aching to have children but know that it is just not God's timing yet. We are born again Christians and have faith that God has a plan for our lives. We are starting to look into adoption and are open to taking sbling groups and older children as well. Right now we are just taking life one day at a time.

I have a question for you guys. My cousin just told me she is 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant, due on July 27, 2010. Her HCG Blood results were 112, the blood test was taken even before she missed her period, her docs said it was low, and today she will find out what her 2nd test numbers came out as. Her doc told her it should have been anywhere between 5 to 456. Does 112 sound low to you guys even if it was taken before she even was due for her AF? Thanks, Dana

Just got my test results back and they are negative, yay! That means the risks of anything happening the next 2-3 weeks are very minimal. I am contemplating whether or not to basically go on bed rest though, since my cervix is still shortening. My own doctor is not a fan of bed rest, but so many sites say it may prevent early labor when you have incompetent cervix. After all the baby is pushing less down on the cervix when you are off your feet. My mom arrived yesterday and is here for 7 weeks, so that is good. It means that either way I can take it easier. I am also waiting to hear back from my doctor about whether or not we can do progesterone injections which is known to help prevent preterm labor. I can't thank everyone enough for the kind and encouraging comments you sent me after my last post. I was so touched by the friendships I have here and so thankful for the prayers. Much love, Karin

Ladies thank you all for your comments, info and reassurance about the heart palpitations. I had no idea how common it is during pregnancy. It is nice to know I am not alone and my heart isn't going to jump out of my chest! It sure feels like it at times. I will be sure to take my iron as many of you said this is a sign of being low on iron, which I was at my last apt. I will also mention it to the doctor at my next visit but feel so much better knowing it is pretty common and will go away soon! Again....thank you!

Dear friends, please pray for me and baby. I had an extra ultrasound today that I personally requested because is has been 8 weeks since they checked my cervix. I am funneling - meaning my cervix is getting shorter. It is now about 2.7 whereas it was 3.5 8 weeks ago. Studies have shown that women with a cervix shorter than 2.5 has a 50% chance of going into early labor. My doctor took a swap to test for Fetal Fibronectin, a protein that is produced when the body is preparing for labor. I should have the test results by the end of the day. If they are positive there is a 15% chance I will go into labor the next 2 weeks. Please pray it will be negative!! Either way they will be keeping a close eye on me and I will have another ultrasound in two weeks. I am so glad I followed my heart and requested this extra scan, even if I don't have any labor symptoms. Of course I am anxiously waiting for these results - it will be a long afternoon. Another strange symptom-The last couple days I have felt my heartbeat really fast, usually while I am laying in bed or sitting on the sofa. It is really fast, makes me short of breath, kinda dizzy and just overall a weird feeling. It last about 5 seconds and may repeat 10 seconds later or an hour later. It is very inconsistent. I know the heart works harder during pregnancy b/c of the increase blood flow, but has anyone else experienced this? It is really a strange feeling!

hey everyone!!! i hope that everyone is having a great day. the rain left and the sun is out..everything is going good here..9 more days and i will get to see the baby so glad..i was messing around with the doppler today and i heard the baby heart beat finally..but the baby kept running away to..well have a good day ladies!

Just had appoinment with the midwife and both boys are head down. Twin one has already droped to so he will now stay head down. This now means I can refer to them by name when I feel them move instead of calling then twin one and twin two. Everything else is great. Although I did fail my GTT and now have GD. I just really hope that I can diet control it like I did with DD.
